I would love to see a ,,TBR jar" kind of video! I'm also a mood reader and I love picking prompts. It's not ,,trapping" me in my TBR, but lets me focus more on the books that i want to read either way, if it makes sense

I LOVED the dead romantics! It’s got Addams Family vibes and also the small town but it’s so beautiful. In my opinion it’s more about the Heroine’s familial relationships than the romance but it was so good, it made me cry.
I'm also have a goal to finish my physical tbr this year currently at 28 of 76 so 48 left to go! I'm interested to watch your journey the rest of the year! And I also loved Mixed Signals! My favorite BK Borison ❤
You don't HAVE to read The Deal and the rest of the Off-Campus series before reading The Graham Effect, but the FMC Gigi is the child of the couple from The Deal, so a lot of the family aspect of her immediate and extended family will make more sense and feel more cute/heartwarming if you've read The Deal especially, but also the other 3 the books in that series.
Six of Crows is definitely a winter book! 😍 I heard that there is a fully narrated Crescent City audiobook with sound effects etc, apparently it's very engaging, maybe that makes it less daunting! 😅
I created a TBR game with wheels specifically to read down all of my owned TBR (kindle, audio & physical) but it def won’t happen by the end of the year 😂🤣 you got this!! Love you so big!!❤️🖤

This is a fun challenge to set and you've got me thinking of trying to put all my unread books in one spot but I think they would be WAY more than 60. LOL Maybe I should just put all the unread ones that I WANT to read in one spot. I hope you can get through the tandem read but I would say if you are NOT set on that to just read them individually. The tandem read thing intimidates me soooooo bad that I would just NOT read it at all. BUT I hope it works for you! PLEASE do a mid month check in so we can see how you're doing!
I'm also trying to do the tandem read of Empire of Storms & Tower of Dawn this month - I'm maybe a combined 100 pages in 😅 so far to go! But I believe in us haha 📚
I’m pretty late to this video but I just have to say that scythe has so far been one of my top reads this year. It is so overlooked and I think everyone should read scythe at least once in their life.
I think seasonal TBRs work so well, I ended up reading all of the summer books I had on my TBR last year. It’s subjective to you because you picked them based on the vibe of the season so you know you will probably be in the mood for it🤍 Anyways, enjoy!🤩

I feel the same way you do about Sarah J. Maas. Surprisingly I really liked Crescent City though. Never thought I would but I ended up crying at the end of book one. Listened to it mostly via audiobook and I can really recommend it.
I missed your videos!! I'm so glad that you are back!! I have so many books that are on my TBR and it has been a lot of fun trying to see how many books that I can read in a month. I have been reading a lot of book son KU which might not help me clear off my TBR but I have had a lot of fun reading from new authors and finding books that I would have never found otherwise.
I found A Million Junes at my local library without ever hearing anyone talk about it so I picked it up and it has stuck with me to this day! When I finished, I knew it was a good book but didn’t think id still be thinking about it a year later. Also I lovedd The Dead Romantics! I actually read it before The Seven Year Slip because I had to wait for it to be available at my library but The Dead Romantics was so good!
First time viewer here - I have the same cart and its full with unread books. You just inspired me to count and including preorders, I have 78 books to read. Eek! I'm a mood reader, too. I pick TBRs but they have to be flexible because my brain rebels if I make reading feel like a to do list. (I have three sons and a full time job, too.) I don't think I can realistically get through all those books before the end of the year (some of them are chunky fantasies) but I am trying to make a good dent in the cart this year. I only plan on borrowing from Libby/the library if I need something for the magical readathon in August. But yeah...nice to give ourselves a reality check every one in a while. Buying books is fun but it can get to be a bit much sometimes!
When I have my unread nonfiction books on the cart, I’m closer to your number of 78 😅😂 they don’t even fit on the cart, lol! Counting was eye opening for me to slow down juuuust a bit with the book shopping!

I just finished the TOG series.. and I’ve read every single series from SJM and i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend finishing TOG and crescent city on audible. Also i do NOT recommend the tandem read if you listen on audible it literally doesn’t even matter about the tandem read.

You can read the graham effect without reading the deal. It’ll make sense without reading the first series. The deal is about her parents when they were in college
I HATE In Five Years. Don't go into it thinking it's a romance and you might have a better time than I did, but even for a literary fiction I didn't think it was very good
I hope you're giving yourself permission to DNF any books that you just can't get into! (Except The Hobbit - you gotta finish that one for Adam.) ;-) But also it's GOOD!! I haven't read the Lord of the Rings series but I have read Hobbit and it's worth reading, IMO.
Oh for sureee - one of my 2024 goals was to DNF books that just aren't it for me 😂 If I feel like something is gonna be less than 3 stars by about halfway through, I'm out (except for The Hobbit, lollll)

SJM is definitely not for everyone! The audiobooks have great narrators so maybe that could help you get through the last three books in TOG!! :)

I hope you're giving yourself permission to DNF any books that you just can't get into! (Except The Hobbit - you gotta finish that one for Adam.) ;-) But also it's GOOD!! I haven't read the Lord of the Rings series but I have read Hobbit and it's worth reading, IMO.
Oh for sureee - one of my 2024 goals was to DNF books that just aren't it for me 😂 If I feel like something is gonna be less than 3 stars by about halfway through, I'm out (except for The Hobbit, lollll)
I liked the hobbit but lotr is dryyyyy and takes a looooong time to get interesting
