Every time I searched for a “beginner ” walking workout with no jumping, I ended up only doing 5 minutes which left me disappointed and frustrated with myself. I decided to do this today and managed to do the WHOLE thing at your pace! It was definitely a challenge but worth it. Thank you for making me feel capable and confident. Just did this workout for the first time....dewey? down right wet! LOL I have an apple watch too...i think i got about 4800 steps with this. Everyones stride is different though (you can set it in the health app) Also, apple uses an accelerometer to measure the steps, so a normal walk your arms are usually in the same motion all the time, but here where we are trying to get extra upper body movement sometimes are arms are actually going much slower, or maybe a better word is stiffer so the meter might not pick up all the movements :) Still close to 5K is great for me...i trying to up my avg to 7500 a day (im 62)...been in a slump and was doing maybe 3K avg, so your exercises are really helping :) Loved the nostalgic talk...remembering my charlie brown metal lunchbox and walking 1/2 mile to the bus stop with other kids on the street....no parents at all :)

Whew! I just did this one for the first time. I generally walk outside between 3 and 4 miles. However, I have a torn peroneal tendon, so I did this workout with my brace on. I'll see in a bit if will work. I'm hoping the brace kept my ankle steady enough. I appreciate you both so much! I've been telling others about these videos.

Personal challenge met! I expected to pause midway for a brief break, but I completed this in 1 session. I didn't quite get 7k steps, but I burned 658 calories! Thanks for the great workout!
I’m 68 and I started exercising again 8/18/24. I’ve been eyeing the 7000 step video for the last week and completed it this morning. Very dewy, I got 6533 steps but after my pet sitting duties I have 8,293. I love these sessions. Aiko is my inspiration, if Aiko can do it I can too. April is my goal, but I have a ways to go. Thank you for starting my morning with many smiles along with my steps.

I am 74 and discovered the wonderful yes2next series in 2/24. Its great to have so many programs to choose f from. Today i did the 7000 steps. This one was a real challenge ! I had a knee replacement 3 months ago and need to get the strength back in my legs before I go back to work in May as I work in a supermarket ,didn't do 7000 but did 5600 but happy with that hopefully next time will be a few more ❤

I had to try this routine right away. However, given that this week I had lots of running around to do away from home, I broke this routine up into 3 parts over 3 days. I did everything much faster and harder than was demonstrated, and also followed Aiko's method: some standing, some sitting moves. Next time I plan on doing half followed by the other half the following day. 7000 steps for me is a bit much, but I do put a lot of sock into the moves. Very innovative! Enjoyed this one! I used to live in Henderson, so Boulder City was very close to me. When the weather was nice, we enjoyed walking around Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Lake Mead, and Lake Las Vegas. Now we're in San Diego with nice weather most of the year, so we love to walk near the ocean and by some of the lagoon/estuaries.

I am an obese 50 somthing with dodgy, hypermobile joints and these workouts are great. I don't wear an Apple watch, but I have heard from other people, that the more you pump your arms, the more steps seem to register. Alternatively, some people wear their watches on their ankles, which records more steps.

Did the 7000 steps work out today. Loved it! I started with a little over 3000, so 10,000 was my goal. Came really close. I needed 350 more steps. For me, this is a great early morning walk whenever the weather's bad. I won't have to work so hard to get my steps in for the day. Thanks!

This is a great workout. I've done it several times and never got to 7,000 steps. I only get just over 5,000. Is it possible you miscalculated something? No matter, I love getting ANY number of steps with you and your mother!

@@amychismarabsulotelyhilari2561 I don't track this workout because I use an app on my phone, but when I'm walking outdoors I usually clock around 6000ish for an hour. I manually track this workout around 5000. These step trackers are just rough estimates anyway really. I don't feel like counting that many steps myself to find out exactly, so I guess it'll leave a little mystery, lol.
I got 6200 on my charge 6 fit bit and I was constantly moving my arms. If you wear your device on your wrist, it counts your arm movements so keep those arms moving with your legs. I knew I wouldn't reach 7000 steps in a workout that is less than an hour. It usually has to be about 70 minutes to reach 7000 or above for ne. I figure 1000 steps or a little more for each 10 minutes.

Every time I searched for a “beginner ” walking workout with no jumping, I ended up only doing 5 minutes which left me disappointed and frustrated with myself. I decided to do this today and managed to do the WHOLE thing at your pace! It was definitely a challenge but worth it. Thank you for making me feel capable and confident. And I calculated my step count when I reached 7000 and it was 148.5 steps per minute so you’re right April! 150 steps will get you to 7000. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Just did this workout for the first time....dewey? down right wet! LOL I have an apple watch too...i think i got about 4800 steps with this. Everyones stride is different though (you can set it in the health app) Also, apple uses an accelerometer to measure the steps, so a normal walk your arms are usually in the same motion all the time, but here where we are trying to get extra upper body movement sometimes are arms are actually going much slower, or maybe a better word is stiffer so the meter might not pick up all the movements :) Still close to 5K is great for me...i trying to up my avg to 7500 a day (im 62)...been in a slump and was doing maybe 3K avg, so your exercises are really helping :) Loved the nostalgic talk...remembering my charlie brown metal lunchbox and walking 1/2 mile to the bus stop with other kids on the street....no parents at all :)

Whew! I just did this one for the first time. I generally walk outside between 3 and 4 miles. However, I have a torn peroneal tendon, so I did this workout with my brace on. I'll see in a bit if will work. I'm hoping the brace kept my ankle steady enough. I appreciate you both so much! I've been telling others about these videos.

I’m 68 and I started exercising again 8/18/24. I’ve been eyeing the 7000 step video for the last week and completed it this morning. Very dewy, I got 6533 steps but after my pet sitting duties I have 8,293. I love these sessions. Aiko is my inspiration, if Aiko can do it I can too. April is my goal, but I have a ways to go. I am 74 and discovered the wonderful yes2next series in 2/24. Its great to have so many programs to choose f from. Today i did the 7000 steps. This one was a real challenge ! I had a knee replacement 3 months ago and need to get the strength back in my legs before I go back to work in May as I work in a supermarket ,didn't do 7000 but did 5600 but happy with that hopefully next time will be a few more ❤

I love your videos. They're so calming even though you're working out. I did use light weights to make it a tad more challenging and I've subscribed.

I had to try this routine right away. However, given that this week I had lots of running around to do away from home, I broke this routine up into 3 parts over 3 days. I did everything much faster and harder than was demonstrated, and also followed Aiko's method: some standing, some sitting moves. Next time I plan on doing half followed by the other half the following day. 7000 steps for me is a bit much, but I do put a lot of sock into the moves. Very innovative! Enjoyed this one! I used to live in Henderson, so Boulder City was very close to me. When the weather was nice, we enjoyed walking around Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Lake Mead, and Lake Las Vegas. Now we're in San Diego with nice weather most of the year, so we love to walk near the ocean and by some of the lagoon/estuaries.

We love that the burgers are baked and not fried! Mom says you can decrease or delete the tabasco if you want less spiciness. Also, the recipe makes 4 burgers, but if you like thinner ones, expand it out to 6 (this is how we like it.) Also, Mom says brioche buns are her favorite. We hope you like it. I am an obese 50 somthing with dodgy, hypermobile joints and these workouts are great. I don't wear an Apple watch, but I have heard from other people, that the more you pump your arms, the more steps seem to register. Alternatively, some people wear their watches on their ankles, which records more steps.

Did the 7000 steps work out today. Loved it! I started with a little over 3000, so 10,000 was my goal. Came really close. I needed 350 more steps. For me, this is a great early morning walk whenever the weather's bad. I won't have to work so hard to get my steps in for the day.

This is a great workout. I've done it several times and never got to 7,000 steps. I only get just over 5,000. Is it possible you miscalculated something? No matter, I love getting ANY number of steps with you and your mother!

@@amychismarabsulotelyhilari2561 I don't track this workout because I use an app on my phone, but when I'm walking outdoors I usually clock around 6000ish for an hour. I manually track this workout around 5000. These step trackers are just rough estimates anyway really. I don't feel like counting that many steps myself to find out exactly, so I guess it'll leave a little mystery, lol.
I got 6200 on my charge 6 fit bit and I was constantly moving my arms. If you wear your device on your wrist, it counts your arm movements so keep those arms moving with your legs. I knew I wouldn't reach 7000 steps in a workout that is less than an hour. It usually has to be about 70 minutes to reach 7000 or above for ne. I figure 1000 steps or a little more for each 10 minutes.
