  • Keeping with the "How Travis does stuff in Splunk", wanted to cover how I go about building simple XML dashboards. In this video I will go from a search to a simple interactive dashboard. My plan is to keep introducing more techniques/features in future videos.
This video includes a demonstration on adding a time range picker, multiple panels, create drilldowns and utilize a multi-select input.
This is a follow up to my field extraction video using the same data set.
If you are looking for XML, I have posted this dashboard on GoSplunk.com which you can find here:
    gosplunk.com/n...
    -----------------------------------------------
As always don't forget to check out my other videos and GoSplunk where I have posted some of my dashboard and queries built over the years.

Hi Travis, thank you very much for your videos. They are helping me a lot.
I have already one dashboard with CSV file with a couple name of words problem and with indexes. When I click in the meeting point should open another search. Okay, untill there, I got it.
How can I create another dashboard, with theses meeting point?
    Kind regards,

Trying to make sure I understand the question. Are you looking for a way to pass a token from one dashboard to another dashboard? Yes, a dashboard drilldown can be configured to pass the token information to another dashboard. Below is a link to Splunk documentation that goes over how to configure that.
      Link to a Dashboard documentation:
      docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/Viz/DrilldownLinkToDashboard
Let me know if I am mis-reading the question. Will try and make another video on this type of drilldown if that would help.
