This gave me a realisation that i may live up to 2077. I imagined this world, where my 71 yo ass would live, while all my relatives(excapt for kids if they will be) will already be gone. And i will remeber this game and think to myself "So, here i am, 2077..." Guess this will be my only thought, no additional meaning excapt for one: time just flies away so goddamn fast...
Since Cyberpunk 2077 has been somewhat fixed since release, it's been a game that's expanded upon something existential within me. A friend and I love to talk about and speculate over future occurrences-we're both tech nerds-both positive and negative. But through our many discussions, one thing has remained the same; we're both excited and terrified of what's to come. By time the year 2077 rolls around, we'll be in our mid 70s but will that even mean anything? Will aging be a minor inconvenience? What'll happen globally? How will the political landscapes evolve? What sort of technology will be available to all and what will be locked behind a massive paywall? Neuralink is set to enter human test trials this year-sometime within the next ~6 months-assuming FDA approval is given. It's a step in a direction, but which way? Anti-aging tech has had massive investments made over the years. AI and computers are advancing at a somewhat exponential rate. Various space missions are being planned and orchestrated. More people are getting into technology. It seems every year there's some kind of monumental advancement in a niche. Take 3D printers for example. For years, they were exclusively held by companies for companies. Now, for a couple hundred dollars, you can have one for yourself and create whatever you want-within your restrictions of course. I'm thrilled to see what else happens in the following decades, and I wish you all the best of luck!
The old, they say they're looking forward to death. That they're sick of this world, that they've lived enough. And me, I can understand them. I've seen old folks dragging their pains like a burden, feeling lonely and lost in this world that no longer understands them. But there's something else about the old folks. They've seen so much, they've lived so many experiences. Some of them are ready to go, they feel that their life has been full and complete. It's as if they've seen it all, done it all, and there's nothing left for them to discover. Death is their well-deserved rest. They await it like a faithful friend who will finally allow them to rest from all those years of trying to survive. And me, I admire them, because even though death can be scary, they embrace it with courage and serenity. So yes, the old have lived enough. But they also have so much to teach us about life and how to embrace it without being afraid of death. Future is scary
Im pretty sure mostly everyone here will be in their 70s and 80s by the time this year rolls around. Imagine telling your kids and grandkids you played a game that was that year. I will be 74 when the year finally roles around. Never thought I'd live to see a futuristic year in a game.
Nothing motivates me more than seeing the advancement of technology. I know a lot of people fear it and what it’ll become, but all I can feel is excitement. The only thing that scares me is not living long enough to be able to use or build or help create anything spectacular. At best I’ll be an old man too far gone to truly be able to enjoy its progress; or I’ll be dead long before that. It’s frustrating. But still, good or bad, however it turns out, I just want to see it for myself.
Same here. One thing about the cyberpunk genre is it it based on a "dystopian" future -- which is purposefully made to be depressing. I think that is why there are so many billowing smoke stacks in the game and most of the cars still appear to be gasoline/diesel based. That is quite a shocker given already agreed upon international goals by leading economies with regards to curbing climate change -- where 2035 and 2050 are key dates to know. But who knows what happens in the future. Especially with politics and the petroleum industry's collective tight leash around many politician's necks. California Governor Gavin Newsom even declared recently that there are no two larger forces on Earth than (1) mother nature and (2) the extremely wealthy petroleum industry.
Im currently lying on the floor in my backyard, staring at the sky while i rest, since i was working out. Its been quite a year, lost, meet and talked to ppl i never thought i would again. Im excited for whats to come this next year, scared too, but well, it passes. Amazes me that every comment in this video is a person with their own lives, problems and dreams, even from different countries, the internet is such a thing, i wish nothing but the best to anyone that reads this, if you encounter a problem, you can overcome it, dont be too harsh on yourself too, take care of you, and be stronger each day. Hugs to you 🫂❤
same man, someday I wish I could meet someone I can sit on the edge of a cliff with. There wouldn't be any words, not because there's nothing to say, but because there's no need to, and they understand that

Love this ambiance track! Makes me want to return to Night City, just to drive around for a bit. That was honestly my favorite thing to do in the city. Just endlessly driving around at night. Racing down the highway and out in the Badlands, doing the street races, or exploring new pockets of the city I hadn't seen yet.
