Honestly not seen this clip before, but had goosebumps and it brought a tear to my eye. Nice moment in awful circumstances. Now...if he ever wants to sign for Coventry City.... :)
The referee was lenient enough to leave Billy Sharp to it and massive respect goes to Sharp, who played 3 days after his son Luey passed away at 2 days old, and the ref for being sympathetic and compassionate by not booking him when he should've done so under normal circumstances.
Absolute respect to sharpey to get up and do the business and dedicate that moment to little Lewie having gone through it myself and couldn’t drag myself out of bed for some time
A truly wonderful moment, especially when no-one in the ground cheered but everyone to a man (including the away fans) just stood and applauded. Since Billy played for us, I've seen probably all of his goals. I don't think there's one from outside the box, and certainly not a weaker footed volley from the angle. Surely there's a message in there.
Just an example of how referees can't make concessions for things that happen off the field. I use Suarez as an example because he's a controversial little rat and if this same thing happened to him I doubt people would give him the same level of support.
I'm just trying to help you improve your commenting style, if I wanted to 1-up you intellectually I could probably do that by just not pissing the bed every night.
I can see you're clearly trying hard hahah Are you trying to 1-up me intellectually and undermime me or something? I believe you were the one that attempted trolling..
Massive respect to the ref for not booking
Respect to ref? What about respect to sharp?
Mick Lee that’s implied.
I have nothing but respect for Mr Sharp, it takes guts to go to work in that form when you’re clearly going through emotional trauma.
Respect for sharp for this, coming from a Wednesday fan. Rivalry is trivial when it comes to something like that
Great Footballer. Greater Man! Gonna miss him, Once a blade...
Always a blade. Legend. Love him. Tottenham fan but I love the lad

He didn't technically remove his shirt which is why he wasn't booked
