      @@burlybeaver6013 Cool. Down in NC. Not sure if I'll be tapping a tree though. I burn wood for heat. And occasionally smoke up some meat and fish.

    I was hoping to see a split piece so that I could compare it next to a piece of maple . OH well, maybe next time .

    Silver will run just fine

      Red is better among the soft maple

    Burn it down to coals and bbq on it. Badass sweet smoke flavor. :)
