Thank you. None specifically, you can find good options. I mostly drink the tap water so I am not very acquainted with the brands.

I always do chopping on Lidl because its cheapest here. Usually spend 40 euro for one week food.

Yes Lidl is really great. I think 40euros a month is a good weekly average on food.

Hello young lady, if you have to compare with Jamaica, is it cheaper or not?
To compare, you need to do it against the minimum wage.
For exemple, the minimum wage in Portugal is 705€, you spent 35€.
    (35/705)x100= 4.96%
Let's say that weekly shopping cost 5% of the minimum Portuguese salary.
If you had to compare with Jamaica, how much (%) would that be?
How far will you go for a pack of rice? 😎
(PS: don't rush posting the video, some typos here and there..)

Hi Sergio, there is no doubt the minimum wage in Jamaica is much much less than Portugal even without doing the math. The cost for groceries in a supermarket in Portugal gives you more for your money vs in Jamaica because you have more options for your budget and here you're less affected by inflation. I usually spend about the same in Jamaica on groceries when the conversion is done.

@@ShauntelAngelica thanks for the reply... But you should be in bed... Are you a night owl? 😉
By the way, how do you get from Portugal to Jamaica? I doubt that there are direct flights. Do you have to go to UK and then to Jamaica?
How much will a return trip would cost?

@@SERGIO-cr6uy There aren't direct flights unfortunately... andAnd the flight cost and time differs based on the route you take. Thinking of visiting Jamaica?

@@ShauntelAngelica Was I thinking about visiting Jamaica?
Actually that never crossed my mind as I'm not a fan of flights over 4h.
I only asked for you, it seems quite complicated for you to go there or your folks to visit you..

@@SERGIO-cr6uy Aww well unfortunately the flight will most definitely be over 4hours . The route I took, accumulated to more than 12 hours if I remember correctly.
