A friend of mine brought it up and I tried to get into all my pking accounts but only able to get into a med level main that’s kind of garbage so not sure where to start
I finally finished dental school/became a dentist, and realized I have a lot of time in between patients. Wasn’t long before I started to plan to max out lol
I had a really long break. Last time I played I was in 6th grade as an 11 / 12 year old. There was no OSRS / new runescape, it was just the original runescape before it became OS. I'm now 29 years old, married with 3 dogs, and have 1 kid on the way. Loving getting back into it. Music and so nostalgic 🥺👌
I’m also 29 married and with 2 kids. This game always takes me Back to middle school days. This game changed my childhood. Always come back every few years for the nostalgic vibes
Switched from League of Legends back to OSRS after I became a dad. Needed a game I could play mobile and pc, as well as being able to log out immediately. League I basically HAD to finish a 20-30 minute game before logging.
I came back because I jumped back into woodcutting and remembered how relaxing it was. Did a couple of quests, going to be getting into some of the new content this weekend! Last logged in like 600 days ago, so this video was a huge help!
Initially came back with news of DT2, then got bored on main buying everything on ge. I've played IM some, so decided to go with that because I wanted to fall back in love with the game, so now I'm a HCIM and loving it! Quests are so cool and interesting to do!
Had a friend of several years recently find out about the game, so I started a main with him, f2p and all. Have to say, its the best when you have someone that you can teach this game to instead of grinding alone.
I had a couple friends of mine ask to do a group ironman a couple weeks ago, and I immediately got hooked. I throw shows on in the background and grind away, and it's been great being back!!
my entire life started to crash and burn and the only constant was runescape for me, it took my mind off of all the pain and hurt i felt at the time and its helping me get through a tough time, it's been nearly 5 years since i last played and ive done more than ever this time, about to go get my first fire cape
I had a big break, I saw your videos with your perfect ironman achievments, useful ironman guides and with your really calm voice, so I started ironman because of you and Im back in OSRS! Ty! Love your videos! Keep it up! :>
Honestly Ironman is the best mode, I feel like since I moved from a standard account to hcim that I’ve actually learned the game, rather than just running to the GE every few minutes
Created my account in like.. 2005 and played till 2011 or 12. Just got reminded of the game and everything is just so... different? Thank you for your guide my man. Gives me an idea where to start.
The first tip is what I told my friend that try to get into the game, they didn’t really listen and got burned out rushing 60 agility. I told him I initially stopped playing because I thought 99 wc would get me super fast logs as a kid, and I though 99 strength was a cool thing. After that I quite and never saw why I played, told him I got burned out.Years later my account is way more balanced, and It makes the journey or “grind” way more Interesting. Obviously I’m fucking old now and I’m a bit smarter, but the biggest thing is : If your tired of grinding a skill do something else, eventually you’ll get that next level, by getting some exp here and there, you’ll realize how more well rounded your account is and notice you have access way more content without getting burned grinding at one skill or one task to only have access to like 1 thing or quest
That's the exact reason I came back was to try things I haven't done. First month back and I got my first ever barrows gloves and just got my first ever fire cape last night after 2 failed attempts.
I'm back because this game is just a nostalgia trip every time I play it. It's also genuinely so enjoyable grinding for things and having huge rewards at the end.
I’ve never been so invested in OSRS, and it’s because I’ve made a 168 point plan into getting 99 RC. So it’s 25% of a RC lvl, followed by OLAAT (one level at a time) of all the gathering skills. So it’s 25% RC > WC 86 > 25% RC > Slayer 86 > 25% RC > Mining 86 etc. I’ve now completed 58/168 steps since 27/01/23 and gotten 3 pets. It breaks the bigger goal up into smaller goals and I’m just obsessed with it.
Definitely burnt out mate - achievement diaries are hard work, especially when I am working 13 hour shifts and only on mobile. BA and MTA are horrendous
I agree with barb assault actually being fun. Liked it way more than the void grind, and farming too. With my work schedule 5 days all I can do is hop on and do farm runs, then I have 5 days off and can play whatever I want. Farming is a sweet "passive" skill
This is how I stacked 700m and got 99 farming and herblore I would just do farm runs at work like 7 or 9 a day nothing but snapdragon and snapegrass for prayer pots by the time I work slower down I was ready to buy gear
Came back cause I missed having something afk to play, work has picked up and I don't have time or energy for more focus oriented stuff at the moment, and RuneScape has always been my go to
Loved the video! Thank you, it’s great to hear different perspectives on how to get back into the game. I personally just found other games very time consuming or time restricted. As to osrs you can play it leisurely and not have to worry about doing something at a certain time or day in the game.
I played in middle school, but had other things come up and i didnt have time to play and honestly forgot about the game entirely. 10 years later while working (my job is very slow during the Canadian winters) I wanted a game i could play on my phone at work, and have the same progress when i got home. Found out OSRS Mobile was realized and have almost solely played OSRS since
My brother started playing again after like a decade of not playing, while I was playing it here and there, and so I was close to maxing out. I also knew how to do cox solo, and after getting my gear, and 190 raids later, my bank is sizeable, and I’ve been able to give my bro some gear and range/mage lvls. I’m burning out from raids but idc, I need more gold, becuz all my money is in my raid gear, but basically bandos, armadyl armor, and then DHL and DHCB is a big portion of my gear. And I want rapier, etc. so I need more gold. Raiding is so weird. Like I’ve gone dry for 100 raids, and then I would get 3 purples in 15-20 raids. That’s why I’m addicted.
I've been meaning to get back into the game for a while now, but the fact that everything is tied to making money, I end up doing Vorkath or whatever the top money maker is and burn out before I can start doing the things I enjoy. Another thing that prevents me from playing again is how prevalent raids are it's a huge turn off for me. None of my friends play the game and it honestly wouldn't even be something that they can jump into even if they wanted to. I realize that some people solo raids, but I suck at the game and at this point I'm so far behind in terms of game knowledge and skill that I don't want to embarrass myself trying to learn them with random people.
If it makes you feel better, ive played since 2004 and still never done a raid. Its really easy to get caught up in comparing to others and then it demoralises you
Came back after a 5 year break after being hack and losing everything i lost the motivation. Browsing to my youtubes video a osrs pop up and i click it on it. Next thing you know i been watching osrs for a couple of minutes and the updates and quest they added got my attention. Im playing again but not as much because of school and adult duties😅 and trying to rebuild and get questcape back, also working on diaries since i never bother working on them before. Will try to get 90 base stats but one step at the time. Also i been watching your vids as well😁
i came back after 15 years lmfao. OSRS is one of those GOAT games. Especially nowadays. Hard to think of many other games that have had this much continuous, passionate support from the developers.
Man, the tone of your voice is very soothing and I appreciate the advice you've given. I stopped the vid at 1:07 when you said "take it really slow and just try to do one lvl a week" (Of course I'm going to finish the video, but..) may I concur? I don't disagree that returning players, (aka myself) should take it slow. However, how do you suppose it's worthwhile training 1 lvl in a skill per week? (Obviously most people would attempt to train multiple skills at once but say the only trained 1lvl per skill/week..). Reason I ask: Membership costs. It may not be a lot (for some people) to pay for membership but unfortunately if you buy a month membership and only train 1lvl per skill/week, you're losing a lot of membership time!! Your 30 day membership dwindles whether you play or not. My personal opinion: Don't become a member until you have certain levels in certain skills. I've personally paid for a total of 2 months membership 26 days remaining with only 8 actual days played. You're going to have to grind either way so why waste the memb time? In my 8 total days of play time, I am 60% done with all quests, and am lvl 68 combat. Of course this varies depending on play style. I'll finish watching the video and see what else is left but the point is to have fun. I've had TONS of fun returning but also learned my lesson on spending and trying too hard. Love OSRS and the community, sorry for the book to read!! Food for thought lol.
TUNA! 😂 I was thinking of getting back into it lately so I could grind out some crystal gear and the bowfa, wheather that means through gp or through the gauntlet! I still need to finish song of the elves (yes I know) but honestly watching this video really makes me want to try out different things!
Reclaimed my account a few years back after it got hijacked by some botters, so stats were a bit.. focused. Was more of an RS3 player because I never wanted to start all over again. I felt awkward and annoyed at having nothing but 90 atk/strength and 1's in basically everything else (especially annoying because I'm typically more of a mage type player) and didn't know what to do with it so I just went back to RS3 again for a month or two before just canceling my sub. Was honestly Settled who brought me back with his Tileman game, made me realize how much I missed the OG days of the game. Not playing Tileman, or even ironman, but I'm back again (with 2FA this time) to relive my childhood nostalgia.
I just started playing again after a 3 year break. Came back to a hacked, banned account. Luckily i got it back and im rebuilding my main after the hack. Gonna slowly work my way to max but when i find a reliable way to make enough money to support it im going to use my main as an alt to pay for bonds on my ironman. Got a HCIM basically ready for membership. Just need to build a bit of a bank and learn vorkath or something to cover membership
For me the reason i came back to the game was that i got my shit together irl and now have a little bit of time to play again. and having a computer to play on now helps a lot lol. A longer story than this but.
how to have fun in escapist point and click game dont use plug ins, embrace the jank, embrace the nostalgia if you don't get it, ask around. in the game chat. Try switching to a higher population world. play around other people, it's a social game too. people will always be more fun than codes if you ask me. try as many different things in the game as possible. jagex has so much frickin stuff crammed in there. thanks for the video
The f2p quests will take you roughly 4 hours minus 2 quests the shield of arrav and dragon slayor 1. Gotta wait till you're lvl 45 for ds1 and you need a friend to help you finish soa. The hardest quest of all.
Just got back off a 2 year break that I thought was my final 'break' Instead of playing my max normie, I started an iron, i've fallen in love with the game again, it's like a whole new game to me.
The reason I came back is because of mobile release and I got an overnight job where I basicslly do nothing for 8 to 10 hours. Im still playing like its 05 - 06 so much new content is overwhelming.
what i did for a bit. buying feathers while im dead in other games :) u play csgo or valorant and die in a round. buy some feathers. 200k an hour. so u get a bond in no time. and it doesnt feel like ur grinding feathers/gp
Why did i come back last December? Well... i was itching. Had stopped for almost 3 years, but you know, OSRS players never stop, they take long breaks. That primal itch, that's what gets us every god damn time.
I also come back, but always always feel so overwhelmed on what to do 😢 because I absolutely HATE doing quests, I know if I don’t do them I can’t progress my account which sucks
On and off player since ~2008. Came back after getting into Asmongold's content. Watched some videos pertaining to WoW (never played, just love his content) and him talking about what makes him love MMO's made me want to come back here. :)
I’ve been wanting to play this again after almost 17 years of not playing. I just want to get to bossing something I never experienced as a child and my lord is it horrible trying to get there in three days in and I’m burnt already 😂
I’ve been playing since 2006 but super on and off. I was 10 or 11 when my friend introduced me to RunEscape as we called it for the longest not realizing it’s RUNEScape x) I was F2P for a few years but didn’t do much in the game. Game was very boring compared to other games like WoW, Maplestory, and even Club Penguin(RIP) so sometime in 07 I dropped it. I tried playing it again when EOC came out and I didn’t mind it at all cuz it kinda reminded me of WoW! But I playing RS3 on and off cuz of plenty of other games I won’t even be able to remember x) I started playing Old School shortly when it released but I didn’t stay for long since I was then becoming an “adult” with no time for video games. Few years later I hear of the mobile release and I got excited since I’ve gotten heavy into mobile gaming because even adults are allowed a little fun! I played RuneScape for the very first time as a member as a mobile locked account and it was the best! My combat level never reached 50 but my only interest was the Zaros rune set I could never have as a child so I was happy with that alone! But alas; I stopped playing of boredom and lost access to the account after some years. Then about 3 months ago I had the RS itch and now I have a UIM at a low 1090 total level but it’s the first account I’ve ever gotten over 1000 and I just can’t seem to stop playing! I highly recommend Ironman for anybody returning and UIM if you’re a masochist. I also can’t thank you enough NoHelp for so many amazing videos! My UIM wouldn’t be where it’s at without you! This concludes my Tuna Talk!
Maxed my iron in 2020. Quit in 2021. Haven’t been playing much maybe 50 hours total in the last 3 years. My brother is playing a new iron so I’m feeling like maybe I’ll try and play again.. however idk what I should even do.
OSRS keeps me coming back, haha. I find myself no lifing osrs for 2 months every 2 years. I'm currently in the 2 month grind. we'll see how long I last.
Started playing again in January, my wife complained that I played on my computer to much so I started playing osrs again cause of mobile. Do all my exp grind on mobile then pvm stuff on the PC when she isn't at home or in moderations lol
Came back for ironman, Forgot how long you need to AFK rock crabs for 65 STR and ATK, I have to minmax cause i love the end game content of the game, but the earlier game makes me sad
Other games have been terrible. Got pretty far into my account so I was getting bored and Classic WoW came around. Tried a few other games not worth mentioning but like the first comment says, no one ever stops. Also went pretty hard in the first place so just got burnt in general, but the new skill is motivating me to max my Ironman for legacy high scores. Some skill will be boring but will be worth in the end. Bots be killing me though not gunna lie... Hope that changes soon :) Then I got a lot of things like ToB/Nex/Nightmare/CoX/ToA to finish off when I'm done maxing. Maybe go back and do collection log.. A lot of the bosses I did well before then and don't got credit for it even though I have items.
I was on 1 a day for questing until I hit Underground pass (which i finished) and then found out I had to go back for Regicide... No more quests for me....
NGL I gave up on this game and then I just said "fuck it" and bought enough gold to get a max house and now the game is WAY more fun with the added quality of life. I just figured I would stop playing if it didn't work anyway and I didn't get banned so it worked out. I just wanted to get you the fun bossing part of the game which I am finally at.
The reason I'm back? It's osrs. No one ever stops. Your breaks just vary in length.
100% facts
😢most beautiful answer ❤
A friend of mine brought it up and I tried to get into all my pking accounts but only able to get into a med level main that’s kind of garbage so not sure where to start
Yes
Facts, man.. there’s barely a week that passes by in my life and I don’t think about RuneScape.
I finally finished dental school/became a dentist, and realized I have a lot of time in between patients. Wasn’t long before I started to plan to max out lol
sounds like a laidback way to work
I had a really long break. Last time I played I was in 6th grade as an 11 / 12 year old. There was no OSRS / new runescape, it was just the original runescape before it became OS. @@pancake1751 😂
Pretty similar spot here lol. I last played in 6th grade and am 29 now. Married, have 2 dogs and a cat, but no kid lol.
I’m also 29 married and with 2 kids. This game always takes me Back to middle school days. This game changed my childhood. Always come back every few years for the nostalgic vibes

Bro I’m in the same situation right now. I still enjoy league but when my son wakes up mid game it sucks. So I’m now back to osrs
came back about about a month ago after not playing for a decade and now im old enough to actually understand and enjoy the game

great video man. as weird as it sounds this game has been a big part of my life since i was a kid. i love that it still has a strong community.
Thank you so much! Yes 100% for me aswel

Welcome back man
You created your account a year before i was born and i’m an adult now, isn’t that weird to think about?
The first tip is what I told my friend that try to get into the game, they didn’t really listen and got burned out rushing 60 agility. Ahahah
That's the exact reason I came back was to try things I haven't done. First month back and I got my first ever barrows gloves and just got my first ever fire cape last night after 2 failed attempts.
What brought me back to Osrs -
A 13 year old addiction to the game😅
Ahaha yes so true
GangGang I guess
Coming back after a year break. Still one of my top 3 games of all time
100% I agree with you
It’s the music, every single time.
Anytime I think of a osrs song I’m instantly in dire need of the grind.
I'm back because this game is just a nostalgia trip every time I play it. It's also genuinely so enjoyable grinding for things and having huge rewards at the end.
Tuna is the name of my cat.
Your videos helped motivate me to get quest cape which I got last week. Also have most of the hard diaries done in between over the past few months
Insane achievements so glad my videos can motivate you!
I came back to finish my 99 fishing. Got it done 2 days ago 😊
Let’s go congratulations
Lost my main to rs3 so restarted as a lvl3 skiller.... enjoying it once again. 18 year off and on player. Great vid btw
Sailing is precisely why im returning alongside leagues. Its been 4 years since i last actively played. Looking to get my quest cape on my ironman
When u said the map was like ur home town...fam im with you on that ❤
Right! :)
Ive been needing a video like this one!
I took a job with a lot of downtime. I came back on my iron, bought a bond, and am on a 2 week trial to see if I'm going to stick around.
That’s awesome! Hope you stick with the game my friend

For me the reason i came back to the game was that i got my shit together irl and now have a little bit of time to play again. and having a computer to play on now helps a lot lol. A longer story than this but.
how to have fun in escapist point and click game
dont use plug ins, embrace the jank, embrace the nostalgia
if you don't get it, ask around. in the game chat. Try switching to a higher population world.
play around other people, it's a social game too. people will always be more fun than codes if you ask me.
try as many different things in the game as possible. jagex has so much frickin stuff crammed in there.
thanks for the video
My bestfriend that got me into the game when we were kids started playing on mobile, so I downloaded it again too. We're both 25 now lol
The f2p quests will take you roughly 4 hours minus 2 quests the shield of arrav and dragon slayor 1. Gotta wait till you're lvl 45 for ds1 and you need a friend to help you finish soa. The hardest quest of all.
Just logged in yesterday after nearly 3 years!
Just got back off a 2 year break that I thought was my final 'break' Instead of playing my max normie, I started an iron, i've fallen in love with the game again, it's like a whole new game to me.
great video love the tuna
Appreciate you thanks
Tuna...always love the vids
Thanks!!!! Brother
barb assault was my favorite minigame too. I know its an unpopular opinion lol
I tried playing ironman and it has changed my experience/skill/game knowledge
The reason I came back is because of mobile release and I got an overnight job where I basicslly do nothing for 8 to 10 hours. Im still playing like its 05 - 06 so much new content is overwhelming.
what i did for a bit. buying feathers while im dead in other games :)
u play csgo or valorant and die in a round. buy some feathers.
What made me want to get back into osrs is trying to get my firecape on my ironman
Interesting! Did you ?
@@NoHelpOSRS nope not yet, gonna try for it when u unlock it through slayer. Got a few more task till i can unlock it
I also come back, but always always feel so overwhelmed on what to do 😢 because I absolutely HATE doing quests, I know if I don’t do them I can’t progress my account which sucks
Missed my friends.. and no one quits forever. Nothing crazy, just wanted a nostalgic itch.
What made me come back to the game... Xbox. Great video bro. Any advice on meeting new peeps ? I've just been grinding quests.
Join a clan, makes it much more fun
Interesting!!! And I appreciate you saying this! I would join a Clan, or discord groups! Also doing raids has helped me meet a ton of people
The big reason I'm back is that I just had a kid. I need a game that I can afk, play on my phone, step away from, and pause (logout).
I started playing OSRS seriously for the first time ever since final fantasy 14 has had nothing to do for an expansion other then 1 deep dungeon.
Let’s go that’s amazing to hear :)
Great video. Tuna
Maxed my iron in 2020. Quit in 2021. Haven’t been playing much maybe 50 hours total in the last 3 years. My brother is playing a new iron so I’m feeling like maybe I’ll try and play again.. however idk what I should even do.
Melvor idle made me come back and make an Ironman
OSRS keeps me coming back, haha. I find myself no lifing osrs for 2 months every 2 years. I'm currently in the 2 month grind. we'll see how long I last.
I have the hardest time getting back in just remembering how to get around the world
Started playing again in January, my wife complained that I played on my computer to much so I started playing osrs again cause of mobile. Do all my exp grind on mobile then pvm stuff on the PC when she isn't at home or in moderations lol
Watching an old mote plox video brought me back
Came back for ironman, Forgot how long you need to AFK rock crabs for 65 STR and ATK, I have to minmax cause i love the end game content of the game, but the earlier game makes me sad
I used to love farming and mining 😅
Other games have been terrible. Got pretty far into my account so I was getting bored and Classic WoW came around. Tried a few other games not worth mentioning but like the first comment says, no one ever stops.
Also went pretty hard in the first place so just got burnt in general, but the new skill is motivating me to max my Ironman for legacy high scores. Some skill will be boring but will be worth in the end. Bots be killing me though not gunna lie... Hope that changes soon :)
Then I got a lot of things like ToB/Nex/Nightmare/CoX/ToA to finish off when I'm done maxing. Maybe go back and do collection log.. A lot of the bosses I did well before then and don't got credit for it even though I have items.
fight pits castle warsc
and clan wars a thing still? I loved that back in the day
I came back for stella’s noods
Lmao
saw dpick 5m so i wanted to go to venny. didnt see the spider. turns out it all changed
I wish they made raids one for solos
Agreed 100%
I’m 30 now, I don’t know if I have the time to dedicate to an Ironman . I understand the being board of main game in terms of always chasing money.
What map is that at 5:49
i quit after being hacked, came back when i got depressed and quit work several months later, fun story
I was on 1 a day for questing until I hit Underground pass (which i finished) and then found out I had to go back for Regicide... No more quests for me....
I’m back because I kept seeing memes that got me all nostalgic
I created an Ironman after getting burnt out from main & I’ll never go back now.
Yes Ironman is 100% the way to go!
I would come back once minus xp lamp coming
Oh yeah? Why’s that
Man I love osrs but I just don't want to do the quest but I want full game content :(
I didnt like farming until i did my firs tree run doing one every morning since 😂
Took a year off, i used osrs as a coping mechanism for gambling 😅
Ahahaha OSRS is better than that
Tuna. I actually have a tuna sandwich in fdont of me right now haha
Let’s go that’s awesome I’m jelous!
I'm back because I was convinced while drunk to buy a year membership by a friend. So... I'm thinking I'm back.
People don’t like questing? That’s why I got back into it 😂. Got 100 quests left
