the ideal play to open with from engage + candina hands is to end with 2 engage & candina in hand with a shizuku & a set reincarnation, Saryuja is sub par compared to ending turn with 3 +1s in hand & a disruption + potential 2nd kagari access, Saryuja in general isn't amazing for the deck, it's optimal function is fixing bricks but a brick has to be both abnormal & bad to both justify & be able to access saryuja, like lillybell double lycoris double hornet, or otherwise for digging for resources in a grind game, in which case there are often better options that end games where there is saryuja access, it comes up enough to run but not as the deck's primary opening play.
I agree with that, but this was just a case of making players aware that this is something that can be done, not necessarily something that should be :)
Hamza Khan Engage for Hornet, Hornet into Kagari, Kagari add back Engage, summon candina -variance based on hand & op response, ogred with no lyco search candina, with lyco search reincarnation, with reincarnation search lyco if don't get ogred, otherwise -search candina, with second candina in hand search reincarnation, with nothing else search lycoris to get candina back to hand & have lyco in gy for a later lilly target. then kagari into shizuku, end phase search engage.
at 1:43, how did you summon goblin? there is no link arrow pointing there?. Granted, now with Hayate, you can just link off Kagari and it'll work fine, but still
Hello Team Shift who is this lad in the video? I played at ycs bochum this year against him when he played pure lightsworn haha. I played 60 cards lightsworn shiranui. I don't know if he remembers me but tell him Nikola said hello 😂 the world is small
Hi, if you listen to the start of the combo, Carl does explain that it requires a zone provided by the opponent such as Shizuku or Kagari, but that would obviously also change now as we have Hayate which does indeed point down, hope this helps :)
You attack directly with lilybell then add lycoris from grave to hand. Then you return lilybell to summon lycoris to a zone firewall points to and crash lycoris into the monster, firewall triggers and summons lilybell from hand. Then you just repeat that a few times.
Proxy Moron Hi, Goblin doesn’t need to be co-linked to activate his effect, but to draw a card after discarding he does, so it is still okay, hope this helps.
But the problem is he has no zone to summon goblin since the kagari points to the mmz of his opponent 😂 i think he first has to make an underclock taker of lycoris and kagari to create an additional emz. The goblin combo is nit correct
Nikola Slovic in the combo you need a zone provided to you by your opponent in order to be valid. This will usually be by Shizuku or Kagari, hope this helps!
Eduardo Bayson Hi, combo 2 is the going second OTK provided your opponent has Kagari or Shizuku, obviously depending on which one depends where the goblin is placed since they give you different link zones, and in this case it has been done with an opponents Shizuku as displayed, hope this helps :)
is great to see a pro player explaining the combos, one of the most useful videos ive have seen, you've won a sub, thanks
I never really comment, but this was just really good through and through.
George Flores thanks very much, means a lot! :)
Very helpful and straight to the point
Great video !
Calch Thanks very much! :)
Great video, thanks ❤️
I love you Carl!

Game 1 its the better option game 2 if they side mind crush you are fucked
going second you can attack your opponent instead of trying to dig with saryuja
I agree with that, but this was just a case of making players aware that this is something that can be done, not necessarily something that should be :)
Broadbull, Enabler of Uncounted Combos could you explain how to do the opening play you're talking about?
Hamza Khan Engage for Hornet, Hornet into Kagari, Kagari add back Engage, summon candina -variance based on hand & op response, ogred with no lyco search candina, with lyco search reincarnation, with reincarnation search lyco if don't get ogred, otherwise -search candina, with second candina in hand search reincarnation, with nothing else search lycoris to get candina back to hand & have lyco in gy for a later lilly target. then kagari into shizuku, end phase search engage.
Informative.
The second combo shouldn't be possible. I thought the link monster has to be pointing at your zone to summon gobblin. Kagari only points up
I also want to say the exactly same thing.
Nevermind 1234 the opponents kagari/shizuku point to his field
he said at the beginning that you needed a zone provided by your opponents Kagari/Shizuku
@@smokesteel3155 yeah I missed that part. Thanks for info.
Good video
Now I will be able to obliterate my enemy’s with all MY MIGHT! NO DECK WILL BE ABLE TO STOP ME AHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAA *Coughs* dear god my throat ow

the link arrow from the opponent's kagari/shizuku

Hey man! Nice to hear from you again, I remember our match well, hopefully see you again at Euros or another YCS :)
Hm i think jamming wave still have to have 3 at activation because it sending the set card to grave and the non targetting removal happens all at once
They don't happen simultaneously, Jamming also uses "then".
On combo #2, are you allowed to link summon the Goblin? Kagari is already on the field and its pointing up, not down.

Team Shift Yugioh, gotcha, thank you the clarification.
i'm kinda confused with the second combo, how does he loop lilybell?
You attack directly with lilybell then add lycoris from grave to hand. Then you return lilybell to summon lycoris to a zone firewall points to and crash lycoris into the monster, firewall triggers and summons lilybell from hand. Then you just repeat that a few times.
Combo 3 isn't valid due to Goblin not being Co-Linked
Proxy Moron Hi, Goblin doesn’t need to be co-linked to activate his effect, but to draw a card after discarding he does, so it is still okay, hope this helps.

Try to see the video first... Hint: watch opponent Shizuku/Kagari Link zones.
Combo 2, he cant goblin because no arrows pointing to mmz
Eduardo Bayson Hi, combo 2 is the going second OTK provided your opponent has Kagari or Shizuku, obviously depending on which one depends where the goblin is placed since they give you different link zones, and in this case it has been done with an opponents Shizuku as displayed, hope this helps :)
