I have been Bullet Journaling for a while now - just realized, at least 6 years now!
In 2018, when I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 breast cancer, I used a separate BuJo to track my symptoms, log my appt notes, and keep all my chemo/surgery/radiation notes organized. It helped immensely during each of my check-in meetings, to be aware of key info to share with my Drs, and not forget their comments & info.
Now, it stands as a record of what myself and our young family persevered through.

As someone who has always been intimidated by bullet journaling, I love this alot. Having an entire blank notebook makes me think to hard about what I should be adding in it, and how I should go about it. Having the balance of some guidance built into the cover of the book makes it alot more easy to approach for beginners, and alot more convenient too.

I went through 2 standard Leuchtturm journals before finally realizing just how perfect the Bujo edition 2 is. I just got mine and I love it so much. It took me having a committed practice of bullet journaling to appreciate just how valuable each of these little details were. From the minimal index to the 3rd bookmark-it’s all so perfectly thought out. Ryder has really done the work, and as an adult with ADHD I value him so much!
Ps. I’m obsessed with the matte black & copper aesthetic. So that helps too.

I love attention to detail like almost nothing else and this is obviously an incredibly beautifully-designed notebook. I hope to get a copy myself. No wonder you call it a practice. Great job, everyone! Thank you, Ryder.

These are amazing updates! So much thought was clearly put into it, and now I want one…despite already owning 3000 blank notebooks. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I understand the functionality of the page number marking the center of the page, but I really like having the page numbers on the corner to do a corner flip to quickly find the page. Definitely not a dealbreaker when you consider all the other features, but that’s the thing that would make it perfect for me. The stickers are genius too, and it clear that the team carefully considered the BuJo purists and the elaborate BuJo peeps with this design. Bravo!

  • @PerimenopausePlus

As a previous user of the 1st edition, I am gutted to have only just now, as I’m writing the page numbers in a Rhodia notebook that has slightly thicker paper than the original BuJo, discovered there is a mark 2 🤦‍♀️
I’m already too invested in this one to give it up but I’m so disappointed I’ll have to wait so long to get my next proper BuJo! The changes look fantastic. Thanks to all the BuJo team and all those who make these awesome suggestions. ❤

For a very long time in my life, I have had used notebooks to keep track of notes, tasks and things to do, I had always struggled with keeping track of open items and constantly losing where I placed notes. I found your method during the pandemic, you’ve changed my life, this method was just what I needed to complement my practice, the flexibility it provides is amazing, I have purchased the digital and paper books and give it as gifts to a couple of friends, I finally got the official bullet journal on Amazon Mexico, it is simple beautiful.
Keep up with the amazing work you’ve done!

I am only just seeing this now, but I love it! The attention to detail is mind blowing and I love that it remains minimalist. After seeing this I wouldn’t want to use any other notebook for bullet journalling! Also nice (and clever) of you to listen to the bujo community feedback. You could easily have gotten mad with the community and protested that they are not using the bujo method as originally intended, but instead you chose to incorporate their wishes so people can be as minimalist or as elaborate as they choose. I hope this book is available in my area, because I intend to buy one right away! You are so awesome!

  • @Ggoldwyn

When I started bullet journaling the original one was not available in my country. I also thought the original is just fancy notebook that I don't need...and still only 80 gsm. So GLAD TO BE WRONG!!! The new changes blew me away. The 120gsm is PERFECT. I tried 140 after being disappointed in 80gsm ones and I hated it. I often split pages in all ways, but most frequently in half or thirds so the extrandots will simplify everything so much! After reading the book multiple times, the guide is great addition. NEVER would have guessed the purpose of the middle dot and I think many review forget to mention it, but it's perfect. I'm from the people that marked finished pages too, so this is ...blowing me away. I love both the attention to detail, and the careful consideration of feedback. Just ordered my first one and I can't wait until it arrives. Rewatching the basics and trying to refine my system until then! 🎉❤❤❤

So timely…! Just returned from the stationery store where I had the first opportunity to hold the official BuJo in my hands and see the colours IRL. Unfortunately they did not have an open one so I couldn’t look inside nor feel the paper. This video almost feels like a real look inside, thank you very much. Will get the book when I finish my current BuJo. I can feel how much love and care went into this. 🌸🌸🌸

Much Love.

I was recently looking for a blank journal to start a daily practice along the lines of Ryan Holiday's advice per Stoicism. I ended up going down a rabbit hole of researching Moleskine, Traveler's Company, even Amazon Basics, and somewhere along the way fortunately stumbled onto Leuchtturm1917. Being in Poland, this brand that I had never heard of before is quite easily available and affordable. Then I discovered the Bullet Journal. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised that something so flexible could also provide so much structure at the same time. I can use it exactly how I want, use as much or as little space every day, week and month, and still keep everything perfectly organized to my needs. I think that I've found my own 21st century Commonplace book. Thanks for all the hard work, thoughtfulness and collaboration that went into this journal.

ah yes, the divider dots - they will save me so much time! I specifically bought a grey pen, just so I can put in light cues like that in my journals, but of course they were still a different colour than the printed grid and all. Also the pocket in the back is such a useful thing, I missed it ever since I finished my first bujo.

Awesome definitely getting one when my current one is full. What I have also started is kind of a „field journal“. A small 3x4in book and a miniature pen to have in my pockets wherever I go so I don’t have to take the big one with me. It has a simple subset of my „main key“ and 2-3 special keys just for those topics that focus around what to do with the note when I get home to my „regular BuJo“. That way I always have something to jot down things, pre-plan or whatever without the need to carry the big BuJo with me on e.g. a trip downtown to meet a friend or while going shopping.

A few suggestions for a future version:
The guides on the inside cover would be more useful if they were in a stand alone format. They could be used as a type of ruler to divide up the page without having to count dots. It would be more intuitive to use then the small reference dots on the pages. Maybe it could be part of the guide - maybe the centre page, so it's removable.
I love the thicker paper for when I feel like doodling. That's probably the only reason I would buy this version over the standard one, although I also like having the extra ribbon.
I miss the tearable pages of the standard Leuchtturm.
Instead of, or in addition to the stickers, consider providing a few repositionable page markers: while the index is useful, it's nice to be ae to quickly "tab" to frequently used spreads.
I'd like to see some content for retired people for those of us who don't have a job to dictate a big chunk of their time schedule... so easy to drift. Not that the general method is not applicable but it would be nice to see relevant and relatable examples.
That's all! 😉 I love the method and I love the book - thank you!

Hey Ryder! It cost's $27.95 which is approx ₹2275. For a student living in India it's too much. Can you launch a book for Indian people and cheaper than this and list it to amazon?
