Very good update. Mr McKinlay comes across very well and didn't find myself disagreeing at all. Hopefully more fans will give this man a bit of a break

just PLEASE hire from outwith the club! This inhouse policy is a joke and doesn't work. We don't need the same staff over and over again we need someone from outside with fresh ideas

If you were a fan its obvious we needed a striker.

If we as a club do as well on the pitch as we do off it, that would be immense. Off the pitch we are brilliant but for whatever reason on the pitch, we always lack that final step. We are either breaking records or the wheels come off completely.

Without blowing too much smoke up his aerse I think Andrew McKinlay deserves a bit more credit than he gets from some folk. It’s easy for folk on social media to criticise without knowing the full extent of things and always after the fact.

An attack minded manager, who plays 2 strikers or 4-3-3 at home.
Imho we need defenders who can clear the ball from crosses and strikers who are quick and willing to get forward and score who have a bit of aggression about them.
Tbh the transfer window can't come soon enough for an experienced striker who is prime fit age.
The whole feeder club thing. I've seen the Scottish International lads do well down England but now with Scotland beating Spain certain players are getting the pump from top EPL clubs, very sneaky.
Thanks Andrew for filling us in, difficult times indeed and social media can be very cruel at times, especially from rival fans pretending to be Hearts fans winding up the hurting Hearts fans.

Football fans are a gullible bunch. Hearts new cheerleader Borthwick given the task of asking pre rehearsed questions and accepting the answers without question. We have been painfully bad for years. How we got third last season is a mystery. Remove Shankland and we were bottom six. The whole Board needs gone. Ann should have been gone a long time ago. It's never the Boards fault. A big bad boy did it and ran away.

I can't believe these comments, these utter charlatans couldn't see that the players had gave up on stevie, "went into St mirrena and ross county at the least 4 points" aye forget the last 20 games,
Easy to say sitting at that side off a desk stealing a wage,

Thats it. Shankland banging in goals then got his head turned now as Captain isn't leading from the front, so the rest have downed tools because their captain has.
There should have been more strikers in.

So when would YOU have sacked Naismith? Can't sack him last season or everyone greets. Personally, I thought Robbie Neilson should've been sacked when we got put outta Europe by diddies and I'd've sacked SN too after the Plzen games, when it became CRYSTAL CLEAR that he'd failed on pre-season prep and been caught cold. But we can all argue til we are blue in the face bout this. The right decision has been reached

I don't care what your "analytics" advisors tell you, Andrew, do not go down the "foreign manager" route, employing Stendel previously was bad enough. Derek McInnes is the obvious choice because he has a proven track record with various clubs already. Whether we could actually get him, though, remains to be seen.

Not mcinnes sacked by Aberdeen and not set the world on fire at Killie

@@Irishboy123 That's right, matey, sacked by Aberdeen for 'only' taking them to second in the league, for 'only' qualifying for Europe each season, for 'only' winning them silverware. The 'geniuses' at Aberdeen sacked him and went straight into free-fall for years until the start of this season. The Aberdeen 'geniuses' did the same thing to Jimmy Calderwood years ago for 'only' finishing third every season, for 'only' qualifying for Europe regularly and it seems that these Aberdeen 'geniuses' still haven't learned from that.
