@@dannywright1317 To me its scary like Alien was scary. Horror not in the frightning sense but more of an atmosphere of helplessness and paranoia. Similar to the exorcist maybe.
@@turdferguson8704 yeah its the paranoia of not knowing who is the thing that I like. Awesome cast and just a great film all round. Also love evil dead.
Signs for sure borderline traumatized me. That scene of the alien in the garden on tv always terrified me. Also the scene where Mel gibson sees the alien on the roof at night was scary. Ofc it doesn’t hit the same but it still gives me chills seeing it today
If they made a proper sequel, that would be pretty cool. Maybe about a alien or 2 left behind after the realized that earth wasnt habitable for them with all the water
Taylor likes cheesy bad horror movies but dislikes Freddy Kruger those movies had awesome props and makeup at the time and puts you into a uncomfortable but visually horrific feeling
An underrated very slow burn horror movie is A Dark Song, IMO. It's not for everyone, and I can see how some might find it boring. It's extremely slow. It's like watching a 2 person play since there are only 2 people for about 90% of the movie, but I loved it.
@@Danowarthemanowar I'm Christian, so I don't mess with that stuff. But I also don't judge anyone's spiritual journey as long as you're not harming anyone of course. Best of luck.
I don't like the horror genre, but these are amazing (in no order): Possession (1981) The Wicker Man (1973) The Thing (1982) The Shining (1980) Suspiria (1977) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) Rosemary's Baby (1968) Black Christmas (1974) and this one, which might not count: Manhunter (1986)
Ngl most of Wes Craven movies are all good, the original Halloween is an absolute masterpiece alongside Texas Chainsaw, Candyman and Alien. The Shining and Shutter Island are phenomenal psychologica thrillers that are borderline horror. Modern standouts are the first Saw, The Witch, The Ritual, Antlers and Halloween 2018. The original Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity are the best found footage horrors. If anyone has Amazon Prime and wants to see the best shitty horror movie ever, check out Revenge of the Mummy. It's miniscule budget with absolutely shit editing and effects but oh my god get drunk or high and watch it with mates for a great laugh 👌🏼
Put Rec up there for being one do the best found footage, it had an English remake called Quarantine, that’s literally a shot for shot remake of the original so it’s dumb but the original Spanish film is great. Hereditary should be mentioned for modern, as well as midsummer and the conjuring. There’s actually been many fantastic horror movies every decade, it’s just there’s so many low budget ($10 million) horror movie cash grabs by production companies like blumhouse that get pumped out for profit that the genre has become really overstated the last decade. Yet there’s still some gems.
‘Come Play’ is a great new horror movie. It’s up there with Hereditary for sure. Jump scares?? Nothing is better! The story line is not jumpy or gapped it’s wonderful and just flows how a horror should! Timeless classics for me are- Friday the 13th up until the 3rd that and after they get stupid and C-Rated😂🤷🏼♂️ the first Halloween, SCREAM IS MY #1 idk from being a 90s baby or that everyone that likes horror movies see Scream as the Nickle Back of horror😂🖕🏻yall and I’d have to say the original Exorcist!! Even now it’s just gripping and you know it’s coming but god damn it!😂 oh you could throw the Exorcism of Emily Rose in it fan fuckin tastic!!!
It made no sense. Anyone who is ever been outside early in the morning knows, that there is dew all over everything. Last time I checked, that’s water.
One of my favorite what’s considered a bad horror movie is called 13 cameras and it’s scary Bc it’s kinda realistic it’s about a family who rents a house and the homeowner has a bunch of cameras in the house and eventually uses what he sees to slide into their life it’s pretty crazy
Signs was a really dumb movie because it makes no sense that aliens intelligent and evolved enough to be capable of interplanetary travel would invade a planet that's like 70% water of their one weakness is water.
I've tolerated a lot from Kyle over the years but I can't tolerate the generalization he made about Nightmare on Elm Street - you don't go two or three movies from 2 to find a good one - NOES 3: Dream Warriors is one of - if not - the best of the entire franchise - it ties the story of Nancy Thompson up in a satisfying way, it expanded on the origin story of Krueger by introducing the ghost of his mother Amanda Krueger, it has some of the most iconic scenes, it answered the question about what would happen if someone started lucid dreaming to fight Freddy - and to top it all off it introduces the concept of Hypnocil (medicine used to suppress dreams) which later got expanded upon in Freddy vs. Jason (the entire town put their kids on the stuff to make sure Freddy couldn't come back). I will not tolerate Dream Warriors disrespect, it is way too good of a movie.
A lot of people are extremely desensitized to tonal horror. It’s pretty hard to desensitize yourself to the point that Hostel is no longer distressing. It’s definitely a different part of the lizard brain firing.
@@fletcherw32 the first hostel movie has almost no gore, just like the first saw, very little actual gore and torture imagery is shown. Thank you. You honestly can’t beat the thing. One of the top movies of all time 100%
@@turdferguson8704exactly! the horror is the thoughts YOU have, not the characters.
“It follows” was a great movie with an original concept
i was never able to take it serious, watched it with a buddy and we were just laughing our asses off
Sinister was a great horror movie. It actually might happen to be my favorite.
Crawl was good.
Drag me to hell was great.
Sinister was awesome but the sequel was trash
Signs for sure borderline traumatized me. That scene of the alien in the garden on tv always terrified me. Also the scene where Mel gibson sees the alien on the roof at night was scary. Ofc it doesn’t hit the same but it still gives me chills seeing it today
yea when I was like 8 years old that movie scared the shit out of me
Signs was great. I'm going to go watch that now, ty.
I was 9-10 when I first saw Signs and was the eve of Halloween. Needless to say I didn't go trick or treating that year.
If they made a proper sequel, that would be pretty cool. Maybe about a alien or 2 left behind after the realized that earth wasnt habitable for them with all the water
lmao Kyle's descriptions of these movies are spot on
The original Texas chainsaw massacre is very good for its age and had nightmares as a kid even the opening with that loud picture noise is freaky asf
If you've never seen "The Poughkeepsie Tapes" you're missing out. That's the scariest/most well done horror movie ever IMO.
“The ring” the first girl who died in the beginning, and the way her face looked when they found her body. Fuckeddd me up at 11 years old lol
Taylor likes cheesy bad horror movies but dislikes Freddy Kruger those movies had awesome props and makeup at the time and puts you into a uncomfortable but visually horrific feeling
The original is pretty light on comedy but they get more silly as they go. I still enjoy the bad ones partially because of their badness.
Shit was trash, your just a boomer
Even you guys describing paranormal activity spooked me and I saw it in theatres with many people around but felt spooked the whole ride home at night
watch paranormal entity
The movie “Rent” was pretty horrific
Groceries was pretty gory as well
OMG I had a lefty coworker asked me to watch rent and Wow was sooo bad, just get a job you lazy hippie
@reconz 82299 That's a great movie, Kathy Bates nailed it.
"525600 T cells, how many t cells do you have left? 🎶"
I saw signs in theaters with my friend. It was 2001, I was 10. We snuck in. When the hand comes from under the pantry, we both screamed. Good times.
I recommend a foreign film called "Rec". (Recording) it's pretty good

Spoorloos from 1988 is creepy as hell, Kubrick said it's the scariest movie he ever saw. It's unnerving and stressed me out.
Requiem for a dream is a the scariest movie I've seen cause the concept of addiction is real
"Come and See" still makes me shiver just thinking about it.
The Gate messed with my when I was young. Creepy AF.
Grotesque is the fucked up Japanese movie you guys were referring to, harsh as fuck 😂
I thought it was that one. I just left a comment about it. Only on for an hour or just under if I remember correctly.
Talk to me is absolutely on the list now
Smile that came out in October is really good
The hills have eyes 2006 but for the 80s evil dead ll
Evil dead rocks
Evil dead 2 is awesome
Jaws will always terrify me.

The Colour From Outter Space with Nick Cage is a really good B series schlock if you're into that.
The Whaling is a really good korean horror movie.

Brain dead is an Australian comedy horror that is so bad its awesome
night of the demons of the 80s i watch it every halloween
Sinister 1 and The Conjuring will have you not sleep for days

VHS the movie gave me nightmares for like a week
Signs was good because you sort of don’t feel like is a horror movie at first so much idk

japanese and korean horror is best imo cuz they are original
I think it is absolutely horrific that people like destiny are popular.
