Out of all the videos I watched you did the most perfect job, exactly what I was going to do.
Love to hear it! Thank you! 🍻
Short and sweet. He gets to the project, no bla bla
Haha thank you!
Another clean install! Good work!
Thank you!!
Great ,very detailed explanation😀
Thank you!
@@pristineautoclean we have this tool box ,thank you !
Great video thank you
👊🏼 Your welcome!
I'd cover the threads of the self tappers with the asphalt undercoating, will cover the drilled metal when ur screw them in
Great idea!
Think I’ll use a dab of silicone in the holes rather than paint. Nice solid install though!
Great option as well!
Very helpful video. I have a gator tonneau cover was a little concerned the locking handles on the gator tonneau cover would interfere. Watching this video I think I am good. Just ordered one on Amazon. If it goes smooth will order 2nd one.
Glad it helped👍
Installed driver side today went perfect.. passenger side arrives tomorrow. Took about 20 minutes. I pre drilled before sinking the self tapping screws.. worked out great.
Which one did you get off of Amazon?
Thanks
Your welcome!!
This is clearly the difference between how a craftsman does things, and how a week end warrior screws them up. I tried blowing those self tappers home with the "rattle gun" as you call it. it didn't work out so well for me. I like how you did it much, much better.
🍻 Thank you! Been in the game for 20ish years, unfortunately I’ve learned every lesson the hard way! There’s no screwing stuff up, just take those mistakes as a learning experience! In your case just get some bigger self tappers and thread them in by hand!
@@pristineautoclean Definitely. I’m very disappointed in the design of those swing case things fit my new GMC. They don’t hug the wheel wells and stick way too far out into the bed area. I’ll have to find something else I guess. Too bad. I really liked those things
Good video . I was wondering how these have held up after a year.
Customer says as good as day 1 👌
What if I have a drop in liner? Can I install these without cutting the liner?
IMO I would just get longer screws and drill through the bed-liner once you find a suitable location.
Can you still fit a full sheet of plywood in the bed? Also is the box waterproof?
The box slides right out if it needs to be removed 👍
Yes you can fit two 3/4” plywood sheets before you would need to remove one of the cases. If you have 20 sheets you would want to take out both cases. They come on and off very easy.
Would you please drop the link for the tool box?
Sorry I don’t have any links, I just do the installs.
Nice install video. I would buy one, but it lifts right out and can be stolen in 1 second. No security there.
It’s a sad world we live in. I always say locks just keep the honest thieves out 🤷🏻♂️
There is literally a spot to put a lock on it where the tongue sticks through the plate stopping you from rotating the box out which makes it so you cannot lift it up. You can see it clearly at 9:48.
I saw what teeheebag was talking about but if you put a lock on it, it won't turn out to be able to get stuff. So basically everytime you push it back to lock in place you have to put a lock on it and then close the tailgate to keep it from being opened and lifted to steal. Just one more step to do I guess lol
What brand was this storage box?
Hey sorry I don’t know, I just install them but I’m sure most brands are identical.
