Three houses, three stories, one Bukhara

This short documentary film reflects the multicultural spirit of the traditional Bukharian houses of the Historic Centre of Bukhara, UNESCO World Heritage site in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This unique type of vernacular architecture represents the living traditions and sustainability of diverse communities of Bukhara.
It was made possible through the partnership of World Monuments Fund and the International Institute of Central Asian Studies. Generous support was provided by the David Berg Foundation and Tianaderrah Foundation / Nellie and Robert Gipson, and the WMF.
