If you live in a small town in New Brunswick, you can survive with about 1,000 a month sharing. Canada is huge and the cost of living is not the same across the entire country. You can look for rent in certain cities and have some idea for yourself. Rent is a killer.
Assuming that you applied for your study permit before 7th Dec., you can work full-time from the official school start date to 30th April 2024. Do not work before school starts even if arriving early.
Currently, time is a bit difficult for students. I would say try your all references. Start applying online & offline application near you live. Also, try on your campus if they have any availability there(if you're a student). Patience is the key. 🙏
