Dev Griffin and Dianne Buswell dance a Couples’ Choice Street Commercial routine to 'Friend Like Me' by Will Smith from Aladdin.
Tonight the glitz and glamour of Hollywood comes to the Strictly ballroom for a movie special. Our remaining cast of 14 perform to some the most iconic movie songs of all time. Who will be a box office smash, and who will end up on the cutting room floor?

This was absolutely incredible and is one of the best street dance routine we’ve seen on strictly and I hate to say much better than joe’s last year. I bet he was absolutely terrified especially considering the kept the lift in major props to Dianne for retaining her trust in him to keep it. The best dance of the night. My first (and only) 9/10 of the night.

I do think that this is more entertaining than joe's dance last year but apart from the tutting section, this doesn't have much street or commercial, it's more jazz tbh, still amazing tho
Dev was robbed and it’s a shame to see him go but this dance will down in strictly history

I was hoping for at least one 10, they totally deserved it! You can see how hard Dev works from week to week. My fave dance of the night!

why this didn't get tens (when kelvin's did; whether deservedly or not this was definitely on par) is beyond me. still loving the couple's choice and this was such a good street/commercial choice (i love how different they've all been! joe's all hip hop, charles' smooth AF, this cartoony craziness...) and dev CRUSHED IT!!! his timing was so great, they were so in sync, he really performed it which i adored, and he nailed the tricks and really took centre stage. some moves could've gotten away from him ie the couch work but he kept them clean and neat and restrained, even when things sped up near the end. also shoutout to the floor graphics people with that magic carpet!!! i just love these two, so so happy they got to shine.

Honestly they really did save the best till last. This was the showstopper in my opinion, I absolutely loved his dance and I think he should of got one 10. But very good scores and a fantastic dance
This dance was amazing! The choreography, the lifts, the synchronicity, the facial expressions! Oh, and of course the fact that Diane was slowly turning into a smurf😂
Had this exact performance been in week 8 etc it would have had 40.

O don't agree its a ballroom dancing show it was good but kelvins was way more technical
Zosja Altes but kelvin’s has more mistakes. His swivel wasn’t good, especially towards the start and the lifts looked so clumsy, I thought he was about to drop her.
Zosja Altes but if you watch the show it’s not just ballroom they also do Latin and now because of couples choice they do commercial and contemporary

dianne is literally everything I want to be she has the kindest heart and her dancing is so addicting to watch

Watched the two dances and I disagree.
I don't know much about Street Commercial; but, I found it slow and boring - except for the second half. Recognising the issues that existed with Kelvin's, it felt lively throughout.
Keanu Solan I see what you mean but I actually found the beginning of kelvins quite slow too, for a charleston anyway. I think they at least deserved equal scores since dev and dianne didn’t mess up.
the judges couldn't find anything to criticise dev on then what could he have done to get the 10s lmao

I'm a Latin and Ballroom dancer and always will be. However, this routine was absolutely brilliant, great performance, great choreo, great dancing. 10!

this was INCREDIBLE !!! the best out of all the dances that night, defo gonna be one to remember for sure, i can't stop watching it the choreography is just so in sync with the music its amazinggg should have got at least a 10 I also had a little panic before it started because the risky lifts but they pulled it off ! well done dev and dianne you guys are defo pair to watch :)

my favourite dance EVER done on strictly, the characters were amazing and their performance was incredible but also, diannes doing street commercial once and devs never done it, so neither of them are overly experienced like normal, coming out with that was so so insane i’m in complete awe🥰the proudest EVER🐒🧞♂️💕

this is absolutely incredible. honestly one of the dance strictly dances ever. the performance from both of them is of the highest standard, the energy is off the charts and the technique is all there and dev just makes it look so easy. they work so hard in training and it really has paid off! i can’t stop watching, and i don’t think i ever will, it’s just so fun to watch! (and dare i say i think 10s should have been on the cards... but 4 nines in week 4 is still INSANE!) very proud of them both, off to the final they go!

Whoever in Strictly decided to place these two last to go deserves a hefty pay rise in my opinion! What a great way to end the show on a bang! First Couple's Choice! So cool!! Deserved that four 9s, but if they're dishing out 10s this early, they deserved at least one! They deserved 10s better then Kelvin did. Maybe the only reason they didn't get it is because Dianne stole the paddle from Bruno so he had no choice but to give a 9!😂 It was fun and funky and really embodied the personality of Will Smith Genie! I never thought I'd be saying it, but it's better than Joe's! (but in his defence, he had a lot of props in his dance)
And can we talk about the costumes?! *_Dianne looked sooooo cuuuute!!!_* So so proud of them!

#BREAKTHROUGH 100% his best dance yet, all the stops were pulled Alladin arms, great lifts, good energy, great balance, g9od timing and great dancing overall. I don't know much about Street but if we get more like that then there is promise. Almost as good as Charles's Street last year I loved this thought it was great one of the best of the night. Dev is a contender now I think. *9/10*

I’m watching this 8 months later and I’m still fuming. 🤣😡 He left WAYYY too early.
When I watched Kelvin’s performance, I was expecting him to get 8s, it wasn’t smooth and they went out of time a few times and it was VERY noticeable, no idea how this scored lower!

@@Alicia-go8lw i did but in my opinion liked Dev and Dianne's best but still thought Karim's was undermarked too don't think his costume helped as he was good but Dev I don't think has a history of dance/musical theatre background.I do like Karim's dancing though

WOW! Absolutely brilliant! So glad the routine went to plan after the incident yesterday during training. Also I'm in love with Dianne's choreography . Been the best so far this season in my opinion. Dance of the night for me. Wish it got a 10!

I haven't watched every episode of SCD but judging from the above performance, I literally refuse to believe he was bashed out of the competition. He definitely has a good sense of rhythm. He should have been the Dark Horse.
