So the new jeans girls on instagram are saying this is a fan song but I’m still concerned…. If it was a fan song I really wish they would remove the word boy from the lyrics “ let me hear you say you want it more, boy” like why are they only mentioning their “boy fans”? When most of the girls are literally underaged. Also another line that just didn’t sit right with me was “looking at my cookie” like… also some of the girls have on such short shorts that’s their blazers are long enough to cover them…. Regardless of the meaning of it, it just doesn’t sit right with me :/ all I’m seeing are is mostly underaged girls wearing shorts/skirts that are so short that the safety shorts are almost always showing…
Yeah I'm sorry but some of these lyrics are weird to me as well. I understand that korean context exists and that the english translation may not be the best or just lost in translation. However, one thing to note is, the track was prolly written originally in english given that (Ylva Dimberg) is credited as both the lyricist and composer of the track so a majority of the english lines that was included in the final version was prolly part of the original demo. So yeah make of that what you will but it was a little uncomfy for me to listen to a group of high schoolers singing some of these lines tbh.
You'd better be worried for yourself. People like you need to get treatment fast. Do you really believe that the girls are as dumb as you ? They exactly know what they are singing and it is so good for sane people. Just because the ideology stuffed into your head makes you fearful about youth sex doesn't mean you have to whine on the web. Consult instead! it will relieve those around you.

With the subtext of "Cookie" it's literally means their CD album, which rolled back after the giant cookie came through in the beggining. And they're feeding us their music, and the ingredients are their songs and cavity is our problem, because the immature thoughts of peoples own reality doesn't make it facts as well as negativity is their problem. Most will always assume looking at in at all innuendoes from a western side point of view but not all translations get through complete well or accurate. Also them doing a performance style way made it so they didn't need to add more stimulated images and thoughts to help the others see it a inappropriate way. I mean, even the dance choreo was fun and didn't seem to be in that manner.
Don't try to explain away the fact that these lyrics are completely inappropriate for minors to be singing and in no circles is COOKIE a double reference for CD. It does have a double meaning and it is always a sexual one.. HYBE is doing noise marketing, rage marketing and seems to be run by at a minimum perverts and potentially pedophiles..

No, it doesn't mean that. You gotta stop getting defensive because no one is attacking the girls, only the creeps behind this and in the kpop industry as a whole (which there are TONS). Pretending it's not about what we are all thinking only harms the girls that are being put in this situation. Don't forget that creep lady obsessed with kids in s3xual context is behind this group. Instead of pretending it's about something else, we need to speak out and let those behind this know that it's unacceptable. This type of "dog whistling" is not new in kpop but now hopefully people are more aware and ready to speak up. Your comments don't help at all.
@@kiminji What majority is thinking doesn't mean it's the way, its right, its facts, its the only reality. In English, the lyrics are always the most inaccurate, many lines aren't what in is in Korean, which is a better view from that perspective.
yes your right the lyrics are really weird for people of that age i really didnt like them but gotta be honest, i loved the music. Loved the reaction. Bye
I think its just mistranslated. Even the members themselves told that the lyrics is cute its like a song for their fans and its like they used cookie as metaphor to represent their album. It simply just cookie = CD
I just want to point out the lyrics and my knowledge of them. I am a fluent Korean speaker and listening to the song with a Korean perspective, the English translation isn’t the most accurate. In Korean culture and Hangul (Korean language) these kind of sexual innuendos with food such as “cookie” don’t exist. This song isn’t referring to anything sexual, the translations are a little bit in-accurate because it’s extremely difficult to translate these kind of concepts into English without it sounding sexual.
Actually 'Attention', 'Hype Boy' and 'Cookie' are Titles Track, 'Hurt' is the only b-side.
