So the PSX version of Rampage 2 has some notable differences compared to the N64 version. Besides obviously sharper graphics, the PSX version also has unique music for the European and Asian levels whereas the N64 version just re-uses the same music from the America levels. Lastly, the PSX version features a bunch of FMV’s that the N64 wasn’t capable of due to the storage size of the cartridges. Overall I’d say the PSX version is the winner here. As for the game itself, it’s very similar to the first Rampage title but one important difference is the limited lives in this sequel. Fortunately the healing items have also been buffed by a lot so it’s actually worthwhile to regain health. The mini-games should also be played as successfully as possible because you’re gonna need the extra lives
Also added was the Special Attack gauge...which I didn't see you use, for some reason. Bit of an odd choice, given that Boris in particular will ram into any size building and utterly destroy it in one hit with his attack.
@@bondinvisibleThat's good too. I actually have a soft spot for educational video games. I even love Mario is Missing and Marios Time Machine even though I'm definitely in the minority there
I always loved rampage world tour on N64, but never got around to watching much of universal tour. Looks like more of the same great game generally speaking. Awesome. And yeah the PSX version's got better graphics!
Ah, got sent down memory lane just in time to catch this a few months late. I remember that USA cutscene so clearly, playin' as Ruby while my best friend played Boris. We did inevitable stop playing around like Jupiter as it just got too repetitive by that point. Go figure we'd quit right at the end.
Just imagine if Boris, Ruby and Curtis teamed up with the Giants of Doom from Superfriends because they took over the continents of the world, but were stopped. I can imagine it being like this. Boris: Bizarro (Since Boris is the new George and Bizarro took over America where George was held captive) Ruby: Sinestro (Since Ruby is the new Lizzie and Sinestro took over Asia where Lizzie was held captive) Curtis: Toyman (Since Curtis is the new Ralph and Toyman took over Europe were Ralph was held captive) No one teams up with Captain Cold because none of the mutants were held captive in Africa.
Yeah the period from 1995-2003 was basically the peak of humanity. Great entertainment from movies, TV shows, music, video games. Also it seemed like science was even kicking more ass with little to no interference from the anti science movement. Great years those were. I miss em badly
Even after rescuing my beloved George, Lizzie and Ralph (and Myukus too), I just had to continue playing (and trying to beat) Universal Tour with Ruby. "Dance with the one who brung ya," right? 🤗
And it took me far too long to realize that the city names on Orapheus are just weirdified versions of some of our own! Skinsonati = Cincinnati, Les Vegees = Las Vegas, Housteenk = Houston, Uranelphia = the worst city in the USA.... 😛 Aliens are such copycats. That's probably why you can go to _their_ planet, punch open _their_ buildings and still find _our_ food!

Rampage has some of the most repetitive gameplay ever made. You can click almost anywhere on this video and in 10 seconds you've seen 99% of whats in the rest of it.

I actually don't like the music in the asia and Europe levels, I prefer the metal music.
I miss the years from 1999 to 2001. I played this game on my PlayStation often back then. Pure masterpiece!
IF they had linux mint before 2000, the world would be better
Man, just imagine your city attacked by a giant anthropomorphic rhino. 😂😨
They DESPERATELY need to bring this game back to Xbox and/ or Nintendo. As of right now, they’re 100% blowing it by not.
I played this years ago in 1999
Good old days
Damn, just noticed you can wreck the twin towers in NYC in this game.
😂
Turned out you didn’t need a plane for that
Yea pretty iconic of NYC, recall when this game was out. I last played this on N64, rented it from Hollywood Video back then
Yea and the news guy is obviously a jew
“of course the wolf flies!”
- The Rock.
Believe it or not this game actually helped boost my interest in astronomy. I know how weird as hell that seems but it really did
it boosted my interest in geography

Most nostalgic game loved this when I was a kid. Love how weird and chaotic games used to be.
This was one of my *favorite PSX games* back when *Midway Entertainment* was around *@LongPlayArchive*
I really like Rampage!
Who wishes that their was a collection edition game of this series from world tour all the way to through time
As a kid, I played the whole game a couple of times with my dad. Those were the days. I’m 21 now and I wish I could play it with my dad one last time
George in USA - King Kong
Lizze in Tokyo - Godzilla
Ralph in London - the werewolf in London
This Is easily the best gameplay ever made
Facts

3:20 heaven help us, we're on the rampage!

It’s a simple game for Rampage!
I always loved rampage world tour on N64, but never got around to watching much of universal tour. Looks like more of the same great game generally speaking. Awesome. And yeah the PSX version's got better graphics!
Played the shit out of this game with my brother on ps1. Was pretty hard though, never got to the end I believe.
Remember only wanting to play with Boris because we thought he was the best!
Boris is the fastest puncher apart from purple Myukus.
Gameplay a tad repetitive but what can I say it was fun! Good times as a kid, the FMVs of the monsters used to scare me a bit 😂
Me and my dad used to play this a lot😢

More kaiju goodness!!!!! Nice!!!!!!
George in NYC?
Lizzie in Japan?
Ralph in London?
Oh I Get It.
You are welcome to reply to the comment. 😁👍
It aurprises me how the people at first try to kill the monsters but when the alien attack starts, they know that the only hope are them

That player selection is better than the live action movie they made
Yah😂😂 searching for the game an found this... Credit too u my friend

This game just wasn't the same on N64 as it was on PS1.
Even after rescuing my beloved George, Lizzie and Ralph (and Myukus too), I just had to continue playing (and trying to beat) Universal Tour with Ruby.

Ralph is broken in this game from his howling
45:38 _Oh....._
⚡️ Oh My God🫣🫨😮😧😱🤯
The game was simple but it was really good. Too bad studios still don't realize this.
