I love Frank Boclet's Vanille fragrance! Sometimes I start out the day wearing Xeryoff's Lira and later in the day I'll wear Frank Boclets' s Vanille , they work great together. I have Kyse's Douceur Brulee , smells delicious and last a long time.It's my favorite out of the 6 perfumes I ordered from Kyse. Great picks!

Perfect timing! I was actually wearing my most caramel-heavy fragrance yesterday - Viktor & Rolf Bonbon. Smells like a piece of caramel candy with a hint of orange and orange blossom.

We are all 29 until we have grandkids. Then we're 45 and you should NOT be asking, sir. 😂 One of my first baby perfumes was Coty's Vanilla Fields back in the 90's. (The memories of that and Navy, uhhh, the nostalgia!) I'm definitely going to have to give some of these a try!
Kerosene unknown pleasures reminds me of churros filled with lemon curd. Absolutely delicious. I wish more reviewers would explore kerosene, there are a lot of good ones!

I’m always surprising myself with my changing tastes 😅 After watching your video I decided to test Salt Caramel which came in my newest Scentsplit order and wow it’s definitely a realistic buttery caramel popcorn! But then I started getting tiny hints of banana bread so I jumped right up and made banana chocolate chip muffins 😁 (although usually I usually do use those boxed cake mixes, nothing wrong with that! ) 😉
I think about this a lot- the seductive attributes of the packaging - colour, texture, material, bottle shape/weight that compell me to either buy or not buy fragrances. It's very fascinating to me. I acknowledge there's a multitude of other factors at play too, but yeah, when I'm exploring fragrances and I'm in the zone, packaging is certainly a powerful driver determining the decisions I make

You are the sweetest, oh I could make video after video on my years and years of being really poor; sleeping on a box spring (no bed….that was rough). Eating all my meals on on a throwaway coffee table ….didn’t have a kitchen table …..wearing socks with big holes in them and using scotch tape to close the holes!!!! 😂😂the list goes on and on. But I have a wonderful appreciation for not being in that situation and I could live on a dime with nothing tomorrow. It was a fabulous life lesson (even though it lasted longer than was remotely comfortable!!)😂😂

Those Micallef scents (Passion) sound really great. Beautiful bottles. I love their Note Vanille. I’m really enjoying KKW Caramel Orchid. It’s a soft scent. Smells like Caramel, hint of cocoa, vanilla & fruit in the background. Like you were dipping fruit into caramel sauce. Someone thought grape like fruit. Not sure. It’s dessert like but not cloying. Quite light, soft. Grew on me & now Loving it . My first Caramel Scent 🍮
Ah yes Note Vanille is so pretty! One of my favorite vanillas. 😉❤️I have to be honest, I’ve never tried any KKW fragrances. I’m kind of torn, I have an impressionable daughter and the Kardashians are not the type of ppl I want to support ….and even though I am strongly against the “cancel culture” I do go back and forth about celebrity fragrances. A sweet coworker of mine smelled so nice on Thursday and I asked what she was wearing and she sheepishly said “well…..it was a gift …..and it’s Nikki Manage”! (Not exactly a role model). I screamed and recoiled in horror and we both got a good laugh but dang…..she really smelled nice! 😂❤️😉Lol!!!! But that sounds amazing!!!!!!! Yes I’ve never bought celebrity scents in the past but the ones I did try were a tad generic. Although I don’t support Hollyweird in general at all I have found quite a few lovely KKW scents.

I found I’d rather have 200$ fragrance I love and cherish and wear….than 4-5 inexpensive ones that are meh and don’t last that I don’t love. Absolutely!

I love the way you pronounce 'caramel'. I love all the accents people speak in, charming! It almost sounds as if you're saying 'carnal, ahaha, in which case one would have to include Francesca Bianchi's 'Under My Skin', which I myself could never describe whilst looking someone in the eye as the references I'd have to make are all so obscene. I normally settle with 'post-coital Shalimar'. That will have to do for now, certainly in polite company. One thing I'd like to say about that fragrance is: holy smokes, have you seen the note pyramid?! There is NO WAY I'd imagine a fragrance like this going by the listed notes. Truly astonishing, I was left genuinely speechless when studying the notes and snorting my forearm at the same time. Wow! No wonder blind buying is such an exciting risk; you never can tell what the end result will be just by reading a list of familiar notes and accords. Thank you for this video, caramel is always an 'unstable element' for me and I never know how well it plays in a blend until I spray it and spend the afternoon with it. Honey is another note I just cannot bank on; it normally 'turns' a composition for me and I really MUST learn. The only honey-forward fragrances that seem pure and well done to me are 'Bee' by Zoologist (for runny, sticky, amber-hued syrup) or 'Mamluk' by Xerjoff (for finely milled body powder that smells exactly like honey in talc form). I thoroughly enjoyed your recommendations (as I dislike syrupy sweet 'basic' gourmands and those teenage-y, cloying neo-chypres that began their march to the mall in the first decade of the 2000s) and you always introduce me to some more unusual, sophisticated options. Some gourmands don't reflect well on a personality I find, and these fragrances amplify certain core personality traits that aren't attractive, ie; they make the wearer smell juvenile, unsure of themselves, and needing of affection and constant approval. I'd be unhappy about being perceived like that (if it were an accurate insight, even more so). I'd also be aghast to be wearing 'Under My Skin' in an elevator filled with lusty, testosterone-filled men; how could they not see my bare shoulders and smell me and not instantly remember the last time they...you know...played Scrabble. How embarrassing, ahaha! :D I think chypre fragrances don't tend to appeal to many hardcore gourmand lovers because from my experience, chypre lovers are a cooler, more self-contained personality and could not care less what people think of them and are just much more aloof, self-assured, cerebral characters. I offer this half-baked theory light-heartedly of course. ;) I just cannot imagine Carine Roitfeld smelling like Juicy Fruit and fizzy bath bombs, nor can I imagine gallery curators, interior designers and other slightly intimidating, aesthetically unique and imposing women smelling like cotton candy and vanilla sponge cake. It's weird isn't it? Anna Wintour is not holding her arms out inviting people into her bosom for a cuddle and a soothing heart to heart and I'm certain her olfactory sensibilities totally advertise her character. Well…I’m always a tad subconscious about my Texas accent but as you can tell….I slip back into familiar words often (as I pronounced caramel different ways here)! Texans tend to draw out words, add an extra syllable in doing so and really stress vowels . 😁🤪❤️I’ve always wanted to try Franchesca Bianchi….in fact the only perfume house I haven’t tried a single fragrance because I hear they are “very challenging” and animalic notes…..aren’t my favs. But I’d love to sniff away some day on them. ❤️
I would add « lait concentré » from Chabaud or « matin câlin » from comptoir sud pacifique They both smell sugared concentrated milk and caramel 😊 Amaaazing ❤

The juice of thr 3rd bottle you are holding up in your video looks stunning in the natural sunlight. 😍 I'm not a big gourmand lover but I'm learning to appreciate them and getting more and more decants (like lira) to try and that one sounded beautiful and I'm already looking for a decant.
So the third one was Vanille by Franck Boclet. 100ml for 95$ ish dollars. Definitely get a sample if you like Lira. In fact, maybe I’ll wear it tomorrow. 😉❤️💋

Great recommendations! I have to go add to cart now. Have you tried any of the Sol de Janerio fragrances? They have the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa. I like the ‘62 version. It’s my FAVORITE! I have both the hair & body fragrance and the parfum. I will say, the hair and body mist smells just like the body cream. For it being a mist it have a pretty good longevity. The parfum is also good, initial spray have the same smell as the body cream; but dry down is different. They also have the Coco Cabana one, which I think you may like. It doesn’t have any caramel notes, but it has the smell of saltiness, kinda like buttered popcorn. If you haven’t smell them yet, you need to! 💕

I suspect many people fear that because they want to have a framework to follow in their usual paths. 🤔 Others wouldn’t like to find out they like inexpensive perfumes because being able to afford expensive ones is considered “better.” The psychology of marketing is always on my mind. Hi Chris, I was so sure you were going to mention Mazzolari's Vaniglia as well. I thought I saw a bottle in your collection in another video. I am wearing it now actually, and while I didn't like it much when I first got it, I love it now. A stroopwafel is a typical Dutch sweet snack, and trust me: eating one they just made in front of you, all warm and gooey with the syrup dripping from the still soft 'wafel' is a million times better than one from a tin lol. I'm Dutch, but I actually don't eat it very often. I have to be really in the mood. I'd much rather have 'poffertjes', these mini pancakes (but taste differently) that are fluffy and soft eaten hot from the special pan they are made in, with a chunk of butter and powdered sugar. Soooo good!

I have a sample of Lait de Vanille by Chabaud and it smells delicious. At the moment, I hear a lot about the Greek fragrance brand Theodoros Kalotinis, I might try to get one !

If you ever get the chance, I wholeheartedly recommend Aseel Special Edition by Arabian Oud. It is the airiest gourmand fragrance that you will come across. They mix ozonic notes with caramel. Delicious, decadent, and feels as you are sniffing cold clouds of caramel. Made for all 4 seasons without a problem. Lasting power of 14 hours or more. Comes in a 110mL bottle. 110!
Where did you get yours? The only one that popped up is for over 300$ at Amazon and I don’t buy expensive perfumes on Amazon I’ve never smelled before…..too many fakes out there.

Franck Boclet is absolutely underrated. I love a lot of his fragrances. The Vanilla fragrance is stunning, it’s uplifting and fresh. It is a beautiful perfume. I have the Tobacco one as well which is beautiful too.
I wish I could smell Casablanca. It is hard for me to detect even with my nose smashed into my wrist:( I actually prefer Valencia, I believe it's called, by Swiss Arabian. It has that apple scent and some spice, and I can actually smell it. It seems to be long lasting as well.

Hi Vanessa! Salt Caramel definitely has a Carmel popcorn thing whereas Cheirosa is smoother, less synthetic . I have the newest almond cake Accident and a tiny sample of the original. Lucky scent carries both of those including samples so you should order samples first and test them. I got a sample of Salt Caramel and ordered a full bottle! The weather is perfect for it! The salt is there, but my skin pulls more of the sweet and butteriness I love it!!!
Chris I was so disappointed in Crush on Me because it is so strong and masculine on me I only like it after three or four hours. Can you think of a fragrance I could layer with it to tone it down? I tried Bond No 9 Tribeca but Crush on Me drowned it out.
So it must be that strong patchouli that is bothering you. So I layer with notes I want to bring out more and patchouli is hard to overpower because it’s added to fragrances to increase longevity. I would chose an equally strong fragrance to have any chance of overpowering that patchouli…..like Casablanca (strong fruity ambery caramel). Or a vanilla (I have lots of string vanillas). Citruses won’t work well because they burn off too fast. I love Kayali 28 and Fresh Cream a lot as my vanilla layering go to. Try a 3-1 ratio also (three spritzes if you’re layering fragrance to one spritz of Crush On me). Etc

I’m always surprising myself with my changing tastes 😅 After watching your video I decided to test Salt Caramel which came in my newest Scentsplit order and wow it’s definitely a realistic buttery caramel popcorn! But then I started getting tiny hints of banana bread so I jumped right up and made banana chocolate chip muffins 😁 (although usually I usually do use those boxed cake mixes, nothing wrong with that! ) 😉

I think about this a lot- the seductive attributes of the packaging - colour, texture, material, bottle shape/weight that compell me to either buy or not buy fragrances. It's very fascinating to me. I acknowledge there's a multitude of other factors at play too, but yeah, when I'm exploring fragrances and I'm in the zone, packaging is certainly a powerful driver determining the decisions I make

You are the sweetest, oh I could make video after video on my years and years of being really poor; sleeping on a box spring (no bed….that was rough). Eating all my meals on on a throwaway coffee table ….didn’t have a kitchen table …..wearing socks with big holes in them and using scotch tape to close the holes!!!! 😂😂the list goes on and on. But I have a wonderful appreciation for not being in that situation and I could live on a dime with nothing tomorrow. It was a fabulous life lesson (even though it lasted longer than was remotely comfortable!!)😂😂

Those Micallef scents (Passion) sound really great. Beautiful bottles. I love their Note Vanille. I’m really enjoying KKW Caramel Orchid. It’s a soft scent. Smells like Caramel, hint of cocoa, vanilla & fruit in the background. Like you were dipping fruit into caramel sauce. Someone thought grape like fruit. Not sure. It’s dessert like but not cloying. Quite light, soft. Grew on me & now Loving it . My first Caramel Scent 🍮
Ah yes Note Vanille is so pretty! One of my favorite vanillas. 😉❤️I have to be honest, I’ve never tried any KKW fragrances. I’m kind of torn, I have an impressionable daughter and the Kardashians are not the type of ppl I want to support ….and even though I am strongly against the “cancel culture” I do go back and forth about celebrity fragrances. A sweet coworker of mine smelled so nice on Thursday and I asked what she was wearing and she sheepishly said “well…..it was a gift …..and it’s Nikki Manage”! (Not exactly a role model). I screamed and recoiled in horror and we both got a good laugh but dang…..she really smelled nice! 😂❤️😉Lol!!!! But that sounds amazing!!!!!!! Maybe I’ll buy it and put it in another bottle!! 😂😂 I know I’m being silly. I’m evolving . 🥰❤️
Yes I’ve never bought celebrity scents in the past but the ones I did try were a tad generic. Although I don’t support Hollyweird in general at all I have found quite a few lovely KKW scents.

@@johncarloburton5611 I absolutely found that out! Also expensive ones are easy to resell on Mercari, eBay if they don’t work out. You cannot sell the cheap ones so they just get given away. I found I’d rather have 200$ fragrance I love and cherish and wear….than 4-5 inexpensive ones that are meh and don’t last that I don’t love. Absolutely!

I love the way you pronounce 'caramel'. I love all the accents people speak in, charming! It almost sounds as if you're saying 'carnal, ahaha, in which case one would have to include Francesca Bianchi's 'Under My Skin', which I myself could never describe whilst looking someone in the eye as the references I'd have to make are all so obscene. I normally settle with 'post-coital Shalimar'. That will have to do for now, certainly in polite company. One thing I'd like to say about that fragrance is: holy smokes, have you seen the note pyramid?! There is NO WAY I'd imagine a fragrance like this going by the listed notes. Truly astonishing, I was left genuinely speechless when studying the notes and snorting my forearm at the same time. Wow! No wonder blind buying is such an exciting risk; you never can tell what the end result will be just by reading a list of familiar notes and accords.
Thank you for this video, caramel is always an 'unstable element' for me and I never know how well it plays in a blend until I spray it and spend the afternoon with it. Honey is another note I just cannot bank on; it normally 'turns' a composition for me and I really MUST learn. The only honey-forward fragrances that seem pure and well done to me are 'Bee' by Zoologist (for runny, sticky, amber-hued syrup) or 'Mamluk' by Xerjoff (for finely milled body powder that smells exactly like honey in talc form).
I thoroughly enjoyed your recommendations (as I dislike syrupy sweet 'basic' gourmands and those teenage-y, cloying neo-chypres that began their march to the mall in the first decade of the 2000s) and you always introduce me to some more unusual, sophisticated options. Some gourmands don't reflect well on a personality I find, and these fragrances amplify certain core personality traits that aren't attractive, ie; they make the wearer smell juvenile, unsure of themselves, and needing of affection and constant approval. I'd be unhappy about being perceived like that (if it were an accurate insight, even more so). I'd also be aghast to be wearing 'Under My Skin' in an elevator filled with lusty, testosterone-filled men; how could they not see my bare shoulders and smell me and not instantly remember the last time they...you know...played Scrabble. How embarrassing, ahaha! :D I think chypre fragrances don't tend to appeal to many hardcore gourmand lovers because from my experience, chypre lovers are a cooler, more self-contained personality and could not care less what people think of them and are just much more aloof, self-assured, cerebral characters. I offer this half-baked theory light-heartedly of course. ;) I just cannot imagine Carine Roitfeld smelling like Juicy Fruit and fizzy bath bombs, nor can I imagine gallery curators, interior designers and other slightly intimidating, aesthetically unique and imposing women smelling like cotton candy and vanilla sponge cake. It's weird isn't it? Anna Wintour is not holding her arms out inviting people into her bosom for a cuddle and a soothing heart to heart and I'm certain her olfactory sensibilities totally advertise her character. I will conduct more research into this theory, haha! Bye Chris :)
Oh my goodness! Such an enjoyable read! Well…I’m always a tad subconscious about my Texas accent but as you can tell….I slip back into familiar words often (as I pronounced caramel different ways here)! Texans tend to draw out words, add an extra syllable in doing so and really stress vowels . 😁🤪❤️I’ve always wanted to try Franchesca Bianchi….in fact the only perfume house I haven’t tried a single fragrance because I hear they are “very challenging” and animalic notes…..aren’t my favs. But I’d love to sniff away some day on them. ❤️

The juice of thr 3rd bottle you are holding up in your video looks stunning in the natural sunlight. 😍 I'm not a big gourmand lover but I'm learning to appreciate them and getting more and more decants (like lira) to try and that one sounded beautiful and I'm already looking for a decant.
So the third one was Vanille by Franck Boclet. 100ml for 95$ ish dollars. Definitely get a sample if you like Lira. In fact, maybe I’ll wear it tomorrow. 😉❤️💋

I have AND LOVE FB Vanille because of YOU, and I also have AND LOVE Coffee Addict and Casablanca, so that's two down! They have the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa. I like the ‘62 version.
It’s my FAVORITE! I have both the hair & body fragrance and the parfum. I will say, the hair and body mist smells just like the body cream. For it being a mist it have a pretty good longevity.
The parfum is also good, initial spray have the same smell as the body cream; but dry down is different.
They also have the Coco Cabana one, which I think you may like. It doesn’t have any caramel notes, but it has the smell of saltiness, kinda like buttered popcorn.
If you haven’t smell them yet, you need to! 💕

A stroopwafel is a typical Dutch sweet snack, and trust me: eating one they just made in front of you, all warm and gooey with the syrup dripping from the still soft 'wafel' is a million times better than one from a tin lol. I'm Dutch, but I actually don't eat it very often. I have to be really in the mood. I'd much rather have 'poffertjes', these mini pancakes (but taste differently) that are fluffy and soft eaten hot from the special pan they are made in, with a chunk of butter and powdered sugar. Soooo good!

Franck Boclet is absolutely underrated. I love a lot of his fragrances. The Vanilla fragrance is stunning, it’s uplifting and fresh. It is a beautiful perfume. I have the Tobacco one as well which is beautiful too.

I wish I could smell Casablanca. It is hard for me to detect even with my nose smashed into my wrist:( I actually prefer Valencia, I believe it's called, by Swiss Arabian. It has that apple scent and some spice, and I can actually smell it. It seems to be long lasting as well.

Hi Vanessa! Salt Caramel definitely has a Carmel popcorn thing whereas Cheirosa is smoother, less synthetic . I have the newest almond cake Accident and a tiny sample of the original. Lucky scent carries both of those including samples so you should order samples first and test them. Chris I was so disappointed in Crush on Me because it is so strong and masculine on me I only like it after three or four hours. Can you think of a fragrance I could layer with it to tone it down? I tried Bond No 9 Tribeca but Crush on Me drowned it out.
So it must be that strong patchouli that is bothering you. So I layer with notes I want to bring out more and patchouli is hard to overpower because it’s added to fragrances to increase longevity. I would chose an equally strong fragrance to have any chance of overpowering that patchouli…..like Casablanca (strong fruity ambery caramel). Or a vanilla (I have lots of string vanillas). Citruses won’t work well because they burn off too fast. I love Kayali 28 and Fresh Cream a lot as my vanilla layering go to. Try a 3-1 ratio also (three spritzes if you’re layering fragrance to one spritz of Crush On me). Etc
