I see elite spec as a slow building disaster for your opponent. once that tipping point is reached it can't be stopped

Going to give that tech build for sledges a try! I always run them and hope they do good for chaff clear, but i’m liking this approach to tanks

Sledges are kinda meh on chaff clear; one unit of sledgehammers only just barely wins against 1 unit of crawlers, while a single arclight can handle 2 units of crawlers without upgrades. (so where arclights solve chaff at a rate of 1/2 credits per spent on chaff, sledges cost you 2 credits per spent on chaff, literally 4x as much)
They really shine in buying time for some other dps unit to take care of business. Put +range mustangs behind 'em and they really clean shop.

Cobrak, I've just recently started playing this game (a few weeks). I reckon I've watched 50 if not more of your youtube vids. You are an excellent commentator (both your own games and others). Your explanations of what you're doing and why are super helpful. I don't know how you have time to comment on your strategy and game at the same time! The MP locked on to the barrier at ~11 mins, but they refocus once the barrier is down. If a unit has a personal shield, it will stay locked on after the shield goes down, but barriers are treated as a separate target, that's why I like to have some chaff in front of forts / shield hackers, it confuses MPs and balls.

Ive got a similar build on my Sledgies, Except i got armor instead of heal. If the enemy doesnt have AoE EMP, its insane howmuch damage they can do with a couple levels.

Gotta ask, why are you allergic to arc lights? They are the quintessential chaff clearing and you never seem to grab them
