Hi. Any opinion about esx ve1300.11sp? I wonder what to choose. steg ss dsp 12 or the esx. I know that the ESX has won a lot of awards and is described as a "miracle" at this price. I'm also considering the slightly cheaper Audison 12.14 dsp
Hi, personally, I do like the tubes sound. Some brands did make car tube amplifiers but it was very limited. New tech amps with a proper design and build can sound amazing. Thanks for watching
Researching the subject, I saw that a few installers still use the physical crossover even when the speaker is connected to a DSP. In other words, the speaker's frequencies are being cut actively/digitally (by a DSP), but the installer still chooses to install the physical crossover. What is the logic behind this strategy? In these cases, doesn't the presence of the physical crossover interfere with the final equalization of the sound? Does the installer install the physical crossover in the hope that it will be a physical protection barrier for the loudspeaker? Is it a question of redundancy to protect the speaker?
@@antoniopdcj it could protect the speakers in case you don’t know what you’re doing. If you have a quality DSP there is no sense using passive crossovers and cutting your frequencies twice, you will loose details.

@@Adam-z2z hi, personally I would chose ssdsp12. Thanks for watching
Is there a version of this dsp without the internal amp? I would be looking to hook up atleast one amp for an of subwoofers
Hi, you can use it as a stand alone 12ch DSP out, if you wish. Thanks for watching
Hi Fred… Will this be able to run STEG MSS kit. Mss mid bass is 200w rms and how much power amp is required. Thanks.
Hi, it can run, to achieve a proper results, add high-end amplifier for the midbass. Thanks for watching
Where is the input voltage coming from? Automotive is 12 volts, or did I miss something? Looks great otherwise.
Low automotive is 11v when it’s on it’s 13.8v. New E-cars as Tesla are 16v. thanks for watching
Fred.. would you say this is the best sounding DSP compared to the Helix DSP Ultra Pro?
Hi, yes.. thanks for watching
Some High-End sound enthusiasts say that tube amplifiers are better than transistor amplifiers. Are there currently tube amplifiers for use in cars?

When my system has an audio processor (DSP) should I “always” stop using physical crossovers?
Yes sure. In some cases when you have no choice you keep them. But always try to remove them. Thanks for watching

Fred. In your opinion, what would be the “Top Five” audio processors (DSP) on the market today (2024)?
