55hrs!!!! After the wash (actually, the first pre-wash), I thought "ok, job done, car is clean!" :) nice video, beautiful car. Car this MOMO Style steering wheel and the "off the shelf" door handles inside have no place to me in such a supercar. Last thing, I can help thinking that washing the suspension and other lubricated part that close with high pressure water is not appropriate. Looks good now, looks clean, but what is the impact of water penetrating the seals or uniballs joints after 5 years? Just trying to make come use of my mechanical degree in car construction.
+gerald Rodriguez Thanks for the question. It was MUCh more than a 1 step. The paint was very hard so I tried Menzerna FG300 and / or 3M Fast Cut Plus on a wool pad for the hardest sections. Then Menz FG400 and then Menz 4000 to finish.
+gerald Rodriguez There is no 'always' Every car is different. Some need something stronger, some need something finer. Its why I've got about 20 different polishes and 15 or so different grade of pads. You never know what you might need.
+Ceh Ceh I can promise you you arent doing full engine detailing, nor are you doing paint correction in that amount of time. You may wash the body and apply some turtle wax, but this is an entirely different process.
