I've been recently looking to update my cologne tried on various fragrances and the EDP Boisee stood out to me the most. I received a sample of the Reserve Privee when I made my purchase and I gotta say I've never smelled a fragrance as amazing as the Reserve. This one just clicked with me I love my whisky and bourbons. The reserve just personifies that so perfectly. I don't regret my initial choice of the boisee as that will be my go to for a night out but the reserve, the reserve is for those more intimate night outs.

I see them all as different fragrances around the same sort of theme/core characteristics. The theme is powderiness and that they are all classy, mass appealing, compliment getters, and easy to wear scents.
Reserve Privée + the EDP are really the warmest and fullest of them all whereas boisée is sort of in the middle of them all with its warmth yet with that aromatic and spicy kind of freshness.
The EDT intense takes the intensity of that aromatic and spicy kind of freshness to a higher level. To me they are different, yet with some shared characteristics and I rotate between them and use them differently for different occasions.
Both Boisée and Privée that you have are crazy good!

Team Priveé. My wife and I went to the store because I was out of my old standby Aqua Di Gio, and I decided to shop around. As soon as my wife smelled Priveé, she immediately took a deep breath and said “this smell PERFECTLY matches who you are and what I think of when I think of you”. I definitely agree with her. As a bonus, while some say the Priveé doesn’t last long for them, I get extremely long performance out of it.

I own the EDT Intense and I love it… very clean and minty on the open and a smooth vanilla on the dry down. Also have samples of the original EDT as well as the Reserve Privé… the bourbon in the Privé is awesome!

Just purchased Boisée. All I have to say is wow. Powdery, fresh, while still having a warm feeling to it. Amazing scent. Favorite so far.

It really is! Fab scent! What do you think of the EDT intense? They are different to me but I do find they aimed for a mix of powdery + fresh with a bit of depth on both those 😊 Like them both for that mix 👍

I get the freshness for about 3mn and it fades and become warm and cosy with some depth (Maybe it's because I live in a warmer climate...). the EDT intense is indeed fresh and powdery like you said tho!

Great video! Tried one of these in a department store when trying a lot of other brands. The Givenchy stood out with an unusual--for the group I tried- fruity scent (pear?) that I really liked! Think it was EDT but now have to return to the store to find out which one it was!

The excellent Gentleman Cologne was discontinued, But the EDP is my favorite for cooler weather & Boisee is great in the Fall.

Great review guys you are amazing. The collection is hard i can’t go wrong with any one of them. At first i smelled Gentleman EDP Reserve Privée and it reminds me of Dior intense so I wanted to change. Since i love cardamom once I tried EDT intense man its killer .
Yeah the entire Givenchy Gentleman collection is indeed amazing.. This was a tough one to rank since they are all nice scents.. EDT Intense with it's sort of "fresh side" is amazing.. I smelled it once earlier this year and knew straight away I had to buy it. So good 🙌 I think something like Reserve Privée or the EDP + EDT Intense or Boisée would be a nice duo.. A thicker, richer kind of powdery (reserve prive or EDP) for date nights, going out, etc and a lighter kind for everyday use (Boisée or EDT Intense) 😊

Man I must say after wearing the EDT Intense for a while, Id give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. Whats great about it is that after the bottle sits for a while it smells even better and stronger. This one smells incredible and it doesnt get the love it deserves IMO. Its versatile and brings lots of compliments as well. I still havent tried the Privee.
The edt intense is my favourite and the only one I own . I think it’s so much more versatile and easy to wear compared to other from the line .

Im so glad that Gentelman Intense does work with my skin chemistry guys :) got my bottle today (first and only bottle from this line) and scent works on me! :D literally l can smell it hours after, all the nuanses and ingredients. bought an Cedrat Boise Intense few days ago, and despite 45% of perfume oil in that juice l can't smell it after two hours. skin chemistry is a bad bad bad and ugly lady guys :D and scent guys, it is calm, gentelmanly, smooth and sexy in a way, l like it. it will work in colder summer evenings for sure. office safe. good review guys!! :)

Have only sniffed Reserve Privé and the EDP… both very nice, but found the Prive a little too spicy/chestnuty for my liking.
Just wish they sold Givenchy Play still. Got insane compliments from it and thought it was one of the all time great scents….soooooo likeable

@Rotten Rebel Hello guys! Which Gentleman do you recommend for using in Fall/Winter time during all day? Not only at nights, but also during all day in these two seasons? I feel, thanks to your review, that GG EDP is a great option as GG Reserve Privée looks like more usable at nights.
Hi! The EDP is definitely the more mass appealing of the two and probably the one that's a bit more versatile as well (comparing the EDP vs Reserve Prive).
For all day I would probably go with that one and using the reserve privee for special occasions, night outs, etc.
edt intense é magnífico ❤
EDT is best, perfect office scent, for everyday use, very versatile, fresh iris with touch of pear, woods and florals. Its like Dior Homme Original, but less powdery with some pear and some floral touch. The rest of flankers are heavy on sweet powdery iris that you can not use everyday or f.e. to office. Also the base is 80% similar so unless you are die-hard fan collector you can buy whatever of the rest 4 flankers and you will be good to go.
Great review Sandra & RR I tried the Edp in a local shop.The assistant said to me it was abit to strong over powering.So I wanted to ask you why some people prepare lighter fragrances like say Chanel allure homme the original instead of a stronger eau extreme ,what do you think of lighter fragrance guys
What a lot of people in the fragrance community don't realize is that A LOT of people "in the real world" prefer scents that are NOT in your face/strong.
I LOVE strong scents and I spray A LOT (most of the time), but being around a lot of people I'm constantly reminded that many of them don't want a scent in their face.

Edt Intense is my alltime favourite, i have new one Society, its kind a different, if you saw notes, but scent is similar to edt intense, gentleman edt is nice for warmer weather, whatever, all Gentleman line is quit nice! 😊

I cross shopped lots of warm scents (spicebomb Extreme, noir extreme, etc). Givenchy Gentleman Reserve was the total packe. The best package design, the best dry down, the best longevity and the best price!

Givenchy Gentleman EDP and Reserve Privée are the "warmest" and deepest of them all, making them the ones that last longer/cut through better in more chilly fall/winter air. EDT Intense, Boisée and the original all have a pretty fab mix of depth + freshness making them very flexible choices.
I think all can be used for the office. Can't imagine anyone would complain about any of them. For the gym I personally usually go for EDT Intense and the OG because of their sort of fresh side 👌
I already have Prada L'Homme, Dior Homme Intense and JPG Le Male Le Parfum. Is the Gentleman edp redundant if I buy it? Or in other words, which Gentleman has different distinct scents than those 3 fragrances I mentioned. Thanks

I'm here after smelling Stronger With You for the first time. Why? Immediately the opening was nearly identical to Gentlemen EDT. But then they go differently ways. SWY has more woodiness, while Gentlemen EDT stays fruity, iris. But it got me thinking about Gentlemen Boisee. Also been curious about that one as I enjoy cedar bomb scents. Which one would you say is the best for winter?
Hi! I think all Givenchy's can be worn pretty much throughout the year, but the warmest and sort of deepest ones that lean more towards fall & winter are definitely the EDP and Reserve Privée. 😊 Those 2 are quite different though so check out the video for more of our thoughts on them 😁
Which would you say is best for formal wear or wear with a suit?
I think they all work for that and every single one of these gentleman scents feels classy and elegant 👌 But each in its own unique kind of way.
- EDT Intense when it's a bit hot outside or simply when you want a (sort of) fresh version of 'that' gentleman scent.
- Boisée sitting in the middle and it's got a bit of depth to it but it's not as "heavy" as edp/reserve privée.
- EDP/ Reserve Privée on a fall or winter day with a suite.. Oh yes.
I go for scent character/depth when choosing which of them to wear, and I think all those 4 are great with a suit.
1- Givenchy gentlemen EDP
2- Givenchy gentlemen EDP
3- Givenchy gentlemen EDP

I've got boisee, edp and reserve privee. Of these 3, I enjoy the reserve privee the least. The chestnut accords are just too strong and make it hard to pull off.
which one is the longer lasting? because i have the new privee one but i feel like it doesn’t last as long as i would like, still fantastic and smells amazing though
Hi! The newer reserve privée is probably one of the strongest in the line.
None of them is "beast mode" in any way and I don't think they are supposed to be super strong either. That's not what this line is about.
The gentleman line to me is very much a classy and masculine line with well-made scents that smell amazing and just work 😊 The scent profile of most of them make them quite versatile and I use most of them throughout the year.

Have the reserve Privee and love it, however coming into summer for me and I don’t think I can wear it too often - is there something in the range that is more versatile for everyday/warmer months? Enjoying the reviews 👍🏼

I feel the EDT intense is like a mix of The One and Dior Homme intense
For me, boise is the best among all of these because it's got everything. Not too poudy or liptistic. I don't think too lipstic/irrish suits with man or manly fragrance. Reserve privee is fine, but it's too poudary and lipsticky
Out of owning all. The only 2 i love is the privee and the intense. I for some reason did not enjoy the boisee scent at all. Almost found it unpleasant lol

It really depends on how you use them. I use them all throughout the year but I use some of them more in certain seasons.
The EDT Intense is definitely one that works well spring/ summertime since it's a lighter kind of scent👌 Boisée is also one that I feel works well.
The EDP and Reserve Privée are a bit heavier and deeper, which makes them lean a bit more towards fall and winter, but works spring as well.
Go with the one you enjoy the most and use it the way that makes you feel good 😁👌
