Multimeter is not a neccessery... Find a veru quiet enviroment, volume at minimum, bias position on the minimum of the multiturn resistor. Put your speaker close to your ear. You will hear distorted sound on low power. Wait for 15 mins to heat up transistors. Slowly increase resistor value and listen when the distortion will disssappear. Turn off the amplifier. Wait to cool down. Try it on low level again. If distortion is still here, slightly incrrase resistor value. If not, it is done. Nothing will happened if the bias current is to low. You will hear the distortion, nothing else. But, if the bias current is to high, the output transistors will burn. So, set the bias on minimum and take some time to adjust it, in order to get sound without distortion on very low output power.

Just the video I was looking for, BTW is that P3A amp? I'm planning to build one. Should I keep preset at center position i.e. 2 K preset at 1K+1K position during first testing?TIA
