As someone that bets on sports, mostly MLB, Sports Betting advertising should be given a similar treatment as Nicotine marketing in the US. i.e. No commercials, or advertising in sports arena's should be allowed(This includes jerseys).
Yeah, given that we jumped whole hog into sports gambling without any sort of guardrails, this is probably the way to go. But damn would that eff up some marketing deals.

I wonder how many were parleys vs single bet. If all were single bets, that's atrocious. At that winning percentage and avg bet amount of $378 he would have to be betting 4-7 leg parleys to be profitable more than likely. I'm highly doubtful he was landing parleys though.

I imagine a lot of them were on every game in a day, thats quite hard to get right when you need 10+ games to be correct to win the bet

@@alexkaplan1136 it's really alarming how ignorant people are on the subject. Losing 24/25 coin flips(4%) is as statistically improbable as winning 24/25 coinflips. You have to be REALLY bad with math if you don't immediately presume he was not making 50/50 bets.
Proves he was betting against his own team. If he bet ON his own team every time and they only won 15 games, which would be historically bad and unthinkable in the MLB, he would be over 10% win rate for the year. Anyone else want a feed showing his bets as he makes them live so they can put the house on an opposing bet? I feel like this would be cheating almost.

Nba refs were fixing games way before legal online betting. Increased money has come with increased scrutiny, I'm not sure though which system is less problematic.

From what I was told, it's because Boxing is a single person sport (well, it's two people, you vs your opponent), whereas in other sports is a team sport.
Against, this is just what I was told when I asked this same question.

You can't possibly draw any conclusions from winning 4.3% if 231 bets. If he was making giant parlay prop bets, even with inside information hes only going to hit a small number. If they're paying hundreds to 1, it doesnt matter the percent
