Sad to see the band sound in this state. Liams voice was shot, the band was finished im one of few oasis fans that is glad the band is done. I also hope they never reform, I saw them 16 times over the years and 2009 Heaton park was shocking. It will never be What it was. Great to see Liams solo success though
Oasis was famous because Liam is just a friggin real front man. Even if his voice sucks half the time, he gives his all, he doesn't really care and you can't help but admire the passion. Jagger can't sing either but people always respect the passion.
Right?! With Gem making it possible for Noel not to have to do all the leads, the tunes suddenly sound so much more like the album versions! Morning Glory, Slide Away, & The Masterplan come to mind. Shame, Bonehead only ever really played power chords & barr chords.

Why is everybody going on about his voice??? Its not xfactor ffs! Seen Oasis from 97 onwards, seen them brilliant, drunk, moody, off their heads...... the energy and atmos in the audience was superb regardless
Noel Left because he hated Liam and that's why even though his voice is good now, Oasis isn't getting back together. Liam's voice was worse in 2006 but that didn't bother noel
This is a pretty shit version, the tempo is so pedestrian. The best version of this song for me is on ‘There and Then’ from Earls Court, the drumming from Alan White is fucking pounding and the bass is incredible. Chris Sharrock is a great drummer don’t get me wrong, but this doesn’t sound great.
It's better than Alan, but no one could get it as good as Tony and there are very specific technical reasons for this - namely that most drummers use the Moeler technique which puts an accent on the first and third beat of every four hi-hat beats whereas because Tony didn't know anything about technique he just accented every hi-hat beat (he sort of bobbed up and down with his body too which accentuated each beat even more) and this is why I think he had a lot more punch when he played 'Supersonic' and other tunes.
Spot on mate, loved it all early days, def mab on release, 94 i think, i just think they peaked way to quickly, not that its a fault of the band, but i saw enough performances that just didnt match the hype/media attention, 1st album the best.
