    I just bought the same guy in black yesterday and after watching this review I feel a lot more comfortable with my purchase. The creator of this video seems realistic and like a nice chap which helps in making logical decisions based on purchasing a PCP air gun or whatever product may be in question. Greetings from Finland and thank you for the great video🇫🇮👍

    Just a heads up from my previous comments about the factor RC, in the UK the hatsan factor RC only has the addition of a regulator, there is no external adjustability to the regulator nor is there any external hammer spring or transfer port adjustment.
    Basically the factor RC is identical to the standard FDE or Black just with a bottle reg similar to what you have on a paintball gun.
    It is only the FAC version of Hatsan factor RC that's comes with all the adjustability.
    I know this because because I have just sent my factor RC back to the shop for a refund as its been miss sold due to there advertising.
    Hope this is help to anyone looking to buy 👍🏻

    Deploy the bipod while the feet are touching the ground and then raising the rifle. That'll stop the clank noise and also make it last much longer. Letting the feet spring out uncontrolled, eventually results in a shower of parts on the ground 😉

    Looks like my style of rifle but the last hatsan I had was dreadful, it was the gladius , it shot a 9 inch spread at 30 yards and the gun was in a rifle clamp, spent £90 in different pellets, turned out the barrel had 2 deep gouges 30mm long in the barrel, had it replaced and the accuracy was still bad so I removed it and found another deep scratch just past the breach, now on the third barrel, no damage but its a loose sloppy fit until you tighten it up, still not pleased with accuracy so Im very weary of hatsans quality control, but its a great looking rifle.

    I am tormented trying to find a Brocock to fit my needs and this Hatsan Factor has added another question mark. From doing some research, the air filler does not come with a cover. Secondly, Hatsan do have a tool to load the magazine, but do not provide it with the gun at the moment. I saw on a RUclips video where one gentleman made his own filler cap cover. I have just read a review on the Factor in Air Gunner that the filler can catch the forward hand when shooting offhand. Looking at this it would have been very easy for the factory to make a forward grip that was notched and could have extended rearward to cover over the filler port, just make a filler cover. The magazine sets off another concern because it protrudes out from the side of the gun and could catch on a branch if hunting. I think the magazine would also been less visible in black and because Hatsan do not supply a tool to load the magazine, I would be worried that a metal wrench would strip the plastic nut. The big thing that Hatsan offer is a great price and some very good features that with tweaking could make a good gun into a great gun. Richard, thank you for all your help. You are truly a genuine gentleman and offer some great advice and reviews about the sport. I would love you to do something on bipods and tripods for hunting.

    Finally a RUclips review of the Factor well done that man! I spotted this a few weeks back in an Airgun magazine and I do like the idea of a high capacity buddy bottle rifle.
    My question is did you clean the barrel before you fired at the range...as those fliers would irritate the heck out of me.
    Also it would of been nice to see a moderator fitted to see how much quieter it fires.
    Also what is the case like is it of a sturdy build or bit flimsy...I know it’s a sub £500 rifle...but there are a lot of reasonable priced rifles out on the market which may even take the podium from the Factor.
    Great review nevertheless 👍🏻👍🏻

    • @alphamilitaria2756
      @alphamilitaria2756  3 года назад +2

      Hi Mark. I'm glad we could help. In all honesty, I didn't clean the barrel. I went to but couldn't get the pull through down the barrel - I suspect the baffles and integrated silencer got in the way. I'm sure a plastic drinking straw would have fixed things but i didn't have one with me. Hatsans definitely benefit from a barrel clean so i think you're right. The rifle is pretty quiet without a silencer, but adding one would make a difference I'm sure. And the case is actually pretty good. Better than Kral, but not as good as say Daystate/FX. I hope that helps! And thanks for watching.

  • @bobthebarsteward

    That magazine! Is there an arms race amongst airgun manufacturers to get the highest capacity possible? I worry that the large capacity means a stiffer spring in the mag, which puts more pressure on the delicate skirt of the pellet, a possible cause for fliers. At least it mounts sideways so doesn't force you to fit extra, extra-high mounts to clear it, unlike some other guns out there. Come back the Rapid 7, all is forgiven lol.

  • @DarcvexiS
    @DarcvexiS 3 года назад +5

    The review of the gun was better than the guns actual performance so bravo Alpha Militaria. I've seen their other guns (PCP and Springers) perform much better at that range. For some reason this reminds me of that Hatsan Blitz without the automatic mag dump feature. Lets be honest the Factor is not a good example of a budget PCP nor does it sway me to switch from a midgrade accurate springer. What a solid accurate springer can do in one shot it takes 10 from the Factor to actually hit it's mark correction if it hits its mark. The price does not justify it's lack of accuracy. There's way better budget PCP options out there than this horrible gun. So far my money is on the ATA Airborne with the comparison test.

    I think considering you only shot one mag? that was fairly ok. We are talking about little bitty lead pellets and the tolerances in their manufacture too must play a part in the accuracy. How did you check your scope at 30m/presumably u had already fired the rifle beforehand/ No or did you use some other method to align it? Thanks for showing!

    • @alphamilitaria2756
      @alphamilitaria2756  2 года назад

      Thanks very much. The rifle was zeroed at 30m (I only know one way of zeroing!) and the group you see in the film is representative of one of many I shot during the day. As I said in the film, the rifle would have benefitted from more use, the barrel being cleaned a few times and properly leaded in. And I'm sure some experimentation with different pellet brands and weights would also improve things and get rid of the odd flyer.

      Hi Philip. Its not overly loud to be honest. I didn't try it with a silencer simply because I like to test rifles as they come supplied. I'm sure a silencer would quieten it down considerably. For £460 its really not that bad, pretty good in fact. Yes, if you put it against an FX or Daystate you'll notice its a little rougher around the edges but you can console yourself with the £grand you saved in your pocket. And its accurate enough. I didn't really do the review rifle justice. I'm certain that with a bit more lead down the barrel and a clean or two the groups would tighten up. You certainly have to make sure the pellets are seated down in the magazine before rotating the face plate. Otherwise you can crush the pellet. Thanks for watching.

I believe, and McEvoy should be able to confirm, as they actually sell the things, that the RC is only available in high power. An adjustable reg will only be found on FAC rifles for obvious reasons. To be honest, I've found that the power adjuster on most 12 ft. lbs. rifles only makes very small differences because manufacturers know most people will want full power. (I suspect they view them as a means to enable an owner to turn their rifle down a notch if they discover it has crept over the legal limit). I agree though that a regulator would be handy on a 12 ft lbs version of the Factor. Sorry for any confusion caused. If you're looking for an affordable regulated PCP, have you had a look at the ATA Airborne we reviewed - very impressive.

    Does the UK version have the hammer adjuster?

    • @alphamilitaria2756
      @alphamilitaria2756  3 года назад +1

      Hi. I believe the adjustment features are limited to the FAC versions. Certainly the unregulated version in the video doesn't have any adjustment. I understand, though I have not been able to confirm it, that there is a 12 ft. lbs. Factor RC. My assumption is that it has a regulator and carbon bottle, and possibly a power adjuster, but doesn't have the adjustable regulator and hammer pre-load for obvious reasons. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that...

      @@RogueBrit Hi. So I managed to confirm that neither the 12 ft lbs RC or 'standard' Factor have any power adjustment. The difference between the two is that the RC has a regulator and carbon bottle whereas the standard rifle has an aluminium bottle and no regulator. I hope that helps.

    • @alphamilitaria2756
      @alphamilitaria2756  3 года назад

      @@RogueBrit Hi. Yes, the barrel is quite long at 23 inches. Its usually a length found on high powered models so I'm guessing the rifle is intended mainly for higher power markets like the US, and the UK rifle is simply powered down. I think the minimalist design of the stock probably accentuates the length of the barrel as well. And don't forget it would look even longer if you fit an external silencer. But all in all, pretty good value for money. I've tended to find that Hatsans improve with use and keeping the barrel clean.
