I don't collect MAFEX figures because I feel like they're a little too pricey for me to buy but this Jim Lee Magneto from Medicom looks dope with the head sculpts especially the magnetic accessories, Overall, Awesome review Xcorpeo.
Same. I only have a couple of my favorite characters, this will be the next. I hate the marvel legends Magnetos i cant wait to get rid of them. None of them do him justice.

Yes the Medicom Mafex Magneto is definitely the DEFINITIVE Magneto in 1/12 scale and I don't see a reason for debate on this one 😂 Thanks for the in depth review as well.
Good figure figure by itself, but near Marvel Legends, it's too short! Magneto is a tall guy, I don´t think it works with Legends.
The Marvel legends Magneto is almost the same height, this better but yes more expensive

The cape is sick it rly adds to the figure, he looks sick in dynamic poses with the cape flowin behind him

I have both this Mafex and the Mezco Magnto. I prefer the Mezco version because it’s sturdier and has better accessories. Although the Mafex version does have way better head sculpts .
I think the same I’m getting a Mezco better too I feel it’s just better

Yeah but unfortunately hes 100 dollars, and hes way too short. Im waiting for a new ML, just a matter of time
If u look at the side by side comparison, they're level up to the shoulders. ML's large head and helmet (that sits too high) add the artificial height. If Hasbro were to do a "new" one, it'd be pretty much a typical rehash - the same body mould is still being released but with concealed pins, as seen on Fang
It's a great figure but I think with a few paint adjustments and it can be even better. I might paint the eyes white, as I think it looks better and the helmet, just like the AOA version, looks too plasticy and I might add a layer of red metallic paint.
The cape makes a big difference but there is also a big price difference between this new Marvel legends.
Definitely worth it if you get from japanese sites....
@@dave52g why is everyone saying this? No it’s not! Yeah it’s like $60-80 but then the cheapest shipping option is $50 and you gotta shell out for the $90-$120 shipping if you want it in less than 2 months!

I still find it hard to pay $80+ for a plain body with a couple new parts added to it. Plus questionable plastic quality that cracks or breaks after a couple poses. Also, They keep using the same face for every comic figure. I want this but not for anything over $60 lol good review btw🙏🏻
Plastic quality and joint engineering has improved massively since the early days. And with digital sculpting, I suppose there's a "shortcut" in head sculpts now. Not justifying it, but Hasbro is doing the same. That's why I said in my review that I'd have liked Mags to have some more painted lines and wrinkles in his face to set him apart in terms of look and age
@@xcorpeo thats the problem. Now that you brought it up, if hasbro can do it for $30 figures why would i pay $80+ for the same method?
@@Raimispidey956 with Hasbro you'd need to buy 2 or 3 figures to get the equivalent range of accessories, and on top of that do some customisation work for a poseable cape. No right or wrong here, it's just personal preference.
As cool as this figure is, and I’m a Mafex fan, there’s something about Magneto’s design that I feel has a difficult time translating to an action figure that can break most collectors’ Top 5.
this is the best magneto I've seen in 1/12 scale over any company 🎉
Considering these are Japanese imports, the "they're pretty pricey" comments are pretty ignorant. They also come with a variety of accessories that Hasbro is too cheap to add to their figures, + wired fabric capes. The sculpts & POA are also superior to what they make.
Man! You talk about hasbro being cheap! These mafex figures dont give these accesories for free! They charge for them! Hasbro could do the same but imagine all the whinning then? 😅

This Mafex Magneto has the proportions well done, the Hasbro one is horrible next to this one, the Mafex one feels like it just came out of the comic pages, again, the proportions, the stance, the cape, the painting, almost a perfect 10, the other one, looks like a big headed guy, that head doesn't fit with that muscular body, don't know why Hasbro doesn't improve their products. See ya.

I’ll be getting this version the cloth cape sells me 💯 although the head from the apocalypse wave is superior but over all this version is the one I’ll buy , I have the yamaguchi one too but this is the definitive Magneto
