Great video. Would you please explain where, if you purchased a concierge suite, you would rank in the 'Crown and Anchor Society' as far as benefits while on board? Would you receive all the same benefits of a Diamond member? Thanks in advance.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. Staying in a suite provides it’s own benefits, separate to the loyalty program. It’s basically its own system onboard, but staying in a suite will give you 2 crown and anchor points per night which will speed up the process of getting to the next loyalty level.
Hi right now i have 76 points and i'm going on a cruise May 22 which gives me another 7 points which after the cruise i would be a Diamond member , is there any way i could gain those 4 points before my cruise sails to be a Diamond member before i board this upcoming cruise , thx.
Hi Tony. The only way to accrue extra points is to sail on a cruise. If you can find a short cruise before your May ‘22 voyage, that would be your best bet to enjoy the Diamond level benefits in May.
Thanks for the info Adrian - appreciated. Is it correct that MSC will honour a loyalty status with any other cruise line? Do any other cruise lines do this? I'm working my way up with Princess (nearly Elite) and it would be great to do a future MSC cruise and to have them match my Princess loyalty status. If correct, what do I have to do the get MSC to recognise my Princess loyalty? Thanks in advance.
Yes that is correct. You can join the MSC Voyager’s Club and request a status match. It’s a great way to enjoy perks upfront! This is the link to more information on how you can enrol and match your status: m.msccruises.com.au/en-au/Mobile/MSC-Voyagers-Club/Status-Match-Form.aspx
wow interesting :) how many cruises would you need to be the next level if you start on the very basic tier on your first cruise. how many cruises would you have to do
I got a Crown and Anchor membership for Pre Gold status I have yet to have my first Royal Caribbean cruise. I will be on Voyager 2 times next year, before she repositions back to Asia somewhere next year it will be her last time in Australia.
I have yet to be offered a pin for any of the tiers. I am currently Emerald 2 pts off being a diamond so let see if that changes on my next cruise whenever that will be.
Sometimes the room stewards will hand them out, but if you don't receive one, go to the loyalty desk and they'll organise it for you. Thanks for watching!
Are points earned per Person? Per room booked? Say I have my family, using my rewards number, am I earning 1 point per night per person, or 1 point per night for the whole room?
I have a question/ thought exercise... Let's assume for this scenario that I am crown and anchor diamond plus at 690pts, I book a suite (solo) for the upcoming world cruise of 258 nights during a double points promo... earning me a total of 1644pts for that sailing. Now would I get 2 balcony and 3 jr suite 7 day cruises after that world sailing? ( balcony at 700, balcony at 1050, jr suite at 1400, jr suite at 1750, jr suite at 2100) Or would I only get one balcony because all the points were accrued during one sailing? If I'm crown and anchor diamond plus I've achieved 150% single supplement so today I could book a jr suite for the world cruise for approximately $100k. If I'm crown and anchor diamond plus I can clearly afford that 100k, so if one would get all five 7 day 2 person cruises, plus all the other perks that's gotta be the best value for money spent of any loyalty program anywhere! For that reason I assume the technicality that all the points came from one booking would negate the credits.
That’s a fun thought exercise - on all counts! 😆 The conditions read: “The complimentary cruise is per household, and based on double occupancy and applicable to the cruise on which the 700, 1,050, 1,400, 1,750, 2,100 (extending every 350 Cruise Points) cruise points are earned or the next cruise after reaching your milestone or the offer will be considered forfeited.” On the basis of the freebie being forfeited if it isn’t taken either on the voyage that it’s earned or on a voyage after it has been earned, then I would say that only one free cruise would be earned. I think this scenario doesn’t really fit within the framework of the existing T&Cs, so perhaps if someone was in that boat (ha) they’d need to speak with Crown and Anchor for a determination.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy fair enough. One further question though... how can one use a free cruise credit for a cruise they've already paid for and are currently on? That seems like legalise that allows them to weasel out of living up to their end. It does say that it can either be the cruises OR credits for 2400 and 3200 respectively (find me a jr suite for 7 days for 2 folks for 1600 a head btw, I dare ya. Lol) so perhaps if one were 100k deep on a 250+ day sailing one could recieve refunds in those amounts as the milestones were reached? Interesting, if I ever find myself in that "boat" (I saw what you did there lol) I'll let you know how it works out.
We have cruised many times and my son has just turned 18, does he need to apply or transfer his points or does he just continue in with the same Crown and Anchor number please?
Hi Andrea. It’s calculated on the number of nights sailed, not the number of cruises. I explain it in further detail in the video but basically each night onboard earns you at least 1 point, and these points add up to help you achieve the next program level.
oh cool :) I don't think I have a princess one, so im guessing our last cruise in may, even if I added one now wouldn't be added :( were going on the pacific adventure in nov, but it's already booked and also the pacific encounter in 24, would it be too late to add those? and h0w do I sign up with princess to join this loyalty program?
Usually just a discount on packages - but the best value for packages is usually found by purchasing online in the cruise planner, especially when Royal Caribbean put on sales.
That’s actually a good point and one I didn’t consider when I created the video. I’ve had some luck with the email customer service - I think the record is a 4 day turn around for a response 😅😂
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy I’m pinnacle. At least 3x I’ve needed assistance pre cruise. Told that I have to email. And every time a response has been post cruise. Royal Caribbean off the water sucks.
A small number of perks, as gold is the first membership level automatically awarded after a first cruise. Here’s the whole list: www.royalcaribbean.com.au/cas/benefitsLoggedout.do
I'm taking advantage of double points as soon as possible
The double points offer is a great chance to climb that loyalty ladder!

Hi Debbie. The points are calculated based on the number of nights spent on board, so it really depends on the length of the cruises that you do 😄
Bloopers are great
Thank you 😄

It’s a great loyalty program, definitely one of the better ones especially as you progress up the tiers.
Sounds good 😌

I was issued a pin each time I changed tiers, I’m now at diamond plus. It’s a great program!

My mum signed us up for this just wondering what perks I am going to get for my next cruise which thank God I can go on
If it’s your first cruise, you generally won’t receive any perks. But on your second cruise you’ll officially be on the membership ladder.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy yes It is my second I am so excited thank you
