They had about a month. Cobdemnation in most places requires a 24 hour notice for vacancy. I would have evicted them a long time ago to fix the property up. You can’t do that much work with people in the units. None the less I would have sold this crap a long time ago and I never accept section 8

Who owns these buildings? That's what I would want to know. In Florida tenants can make repairs themselves and give the receipt to the property owner and deduct it from their rent legally. The city should have notified the property owner to make those repairs. Without proper eviction notices the owner of the building can be sued by the occupants of each apartment. It sounds like false imprisonment of at least one tenant . The property in the units belongs to the tenants, and the owner of the building has now taken possession of it. Which is theft or property conversion somebody's in a heap of trouble here
