Reason why Eminem dissed Fred Durst was because Fred Durst was in the Group Limp Bizkit by association. At that time it didn't matter who you were. If you were part of a group and one of your members was the main target getting dissed, everyone in your group gets dissed. This was a normal thing during that time, Group vs Group. Fred Durst was just a middle man but because he belonged to limp Bizkit and Eminem's main target was D.J Lethal in the song "Girls" Eminem let them have it in his diss song. Eminem saw and heard DJ Lethal an a interview stating Everlast could beat him in a fight after DJ Lethal was suppose to have been in his song dissing Everlast but he is there in a interview two weeks later taking a shot at Eminem stating Everlast can whoop Eminem in a fight. That Triggered Eminem with the diss song "Girls" Here's the link to a short 4 minute video in an interview with Eminem and here he explains why he went after limp Bizkit.

Limp Bizkit was supposed to be on this song, then they backed out. They gave Em a decent excuse, which is why he had their back in this song. But then later Lethal said in an interview that Everlast could whoop Em, so Em came out with Girls as a retort, basically calling them bitches for playing both sides cause they were afraid to diss Everlast.

I just love how it all ends "cause we Hit Em Up like motherfucking Tupac Shakur," is awesome and yeah, I think this track gets looked over when talking about "greatest diss tracks of all time" for the more popular Em diss tracks like Nail In the Coffin, The Warning, Killshot, but this one I feel like is more brutal than any of those honestly.

This song is, in my opinion, perfect. It was the happy medium between MMLP and The Eminem Show. It has the violence of MMLP, but the flow and energy of TES. Diss aside, this is just an enjoyable song to listen to.
This wasnt the Eminem Show flow at all.. This was like the violence of MMLP and the flow from 8 Mile and right before he went into TES/G Unit era
LET'S GO! Definitely Em's best diss track in my opinion. Once the Hit Em Up beat came up, it was over.
Crypt! Great reaction. From what I remember, this diss was done before the falling out with Limp and Fred Durst specifically. After this diss came out Fred and DJ Lethal kinda backed up Everlast and he explains that in Girls which should really be your next track you listen to.

I think Game should of went back and listened to responses Em has made to people and realized this is one battle he really doesn't want any part of. Em not responding is actually hurting him more though because just like when MGK went at Em, all the fans that made tracks were gold. Turning out the same way again now with Game. "Stans" are hitting him hard.

It wasn’t an automatic weapon, autos are hard to come by plus if he was really caught he would’ve spent 10 years in jail

Eminem's died tracks are kinda like disc golf. You don't always know where it's going, but sometimes, it hits you right in the chains. But it always feels good to play.
The Underground crew he’s referring too is Dilated Peoples. Also, he’s talking about Dilated Peoples 3 CD’s 💿 that they’ve released at the time. After Em heard Evidences Response, he decided to squash the beef Via RIP Proof 🙏🏽 to which proof told him there’s one more diss coming, don’t respond to that. Which was on the song Girls ✌🏽

The clever one where you just try to outsmart the other person (Killshot is a good example)
The exposure one where you reveal a big secret about the other person (Story of Addidon)
And the Dissrespectful one where you just go so rogue it's scary. Hit Em up is a famous example but Quitter from Em might be the most disrespectful song I ever heard

What happened between Eminem and Limp Bizket was Fred and Lethal were supposed to do a song with him to diss Whitey Ford, and after Eminem defended them in this song they praised him and then publicly told the media that Whitey Ford was going to kick Eminem's ass when they cross paths. Em responded because behind closed doors they were praising him and then siding with Everlast in the media. So Eminem wrote the diss on Limp Bizket because they were scared to diss Everlast after Em defended them.

About Girls (Limp Bizkit Diss): Basically (I think so anyway) Dj Lethal went on a show and said that whitey (Everlast) would beat up eminem if they fought. Also they were supposed to be on this diss but dropped out last minute, which is also why if you noticed, in the first verses em tries to set them up in a way so they would have a smoother transition. Bout it really.
Girls was written afterwards. He even says I gave you prompts which he did in the 1st verse of this song "so I'm swinging on you." Lol.
