    Brilliant. The best video on how to do this out of all the ones I have watched. From an Aussie, too. All homeowners should watch this if they are having gutters replaced. I had my guttering replaced after the October 2021 severe storms on the Mid- North Coast of Australia. Shocking job was done, including the mitres. Poor workmanship covered by dollops of silicone and corner caps resulting in leaks.

    Great video mate, simple and clear. Working on the ground, wearing Vollies, a true Aussie roofer! 😃

    Ahhh - you make it look sooo easy! After an hour and a half of trying to do what you just did in 6 minutes, I rang Metrol for a quote for them to make it. They can have the $80 including materials. I tried.... too much for this handyman.

    Thanks for taking the time to post this mate. I’m using a slightly different profile but will get the job done.

    How wide do I need from the straight line to meet the 45 angle? Is the last line a 45 angle too?

    Any advantage in using these gutter corners to connect 2 gutters at 90 degrees? As opposed to using the 90 degree external gutter bracket made by Lysaght and others ?

    Hi Tyrone, I want to replace a Quad gutter internal 90 deg. corner bracket from an existing gutter as the bracket has cracked at bottom, the outside pop rivets are simple to remove, but there's 2x pop rivets securing it to the metal fascia board, those 2 rivets seem inaccessible to a drill to drill them out... how would you go about removing them? Cheers..

      @@tozza87 if you've been spouting that long then that's a shame... theres a lot of tips n tricks to make the job easier. Also good tips to show the audience too. I'm just saying. I mark from the inside of gutter with a template. I ain't even bragging it's just facts. "Alot faster and nicer" Your also not leaving enough at the top too on the straight piece to rivet aswell when it comes to miter. Pretty sad no ones showed you tbh. Anyway your working anyway and looks pretty good, That's the main thing. Have a good one! 👊

    I'm amazed people still do it this way when most people use cast angles now days

  • @Ben-nc9qw
    @Ben-nc9qw 2 года назад

    If I attempted this I would use half a sausage of silicon to fill the gaps, wouldn't the pre-cast ones be easier? - dying art I guess.

      Kevin I installed some Zincalume gutters on a house 20 years ago less than 100m from the ocean and to this day there is no issues with the gutters at all. Comes down to the installation and cleaning swarf out of the gutters to prolong the life of the newly installed gutters 👍
