I just bought the Tarot Classic. I was able to get a 1971 & 1974. They are beautiful. I put off buying them because of the English titles but they don't bother me like I thought they would.
I don't know which version I have, I'm not sure if I still have the box for this one. In those days the trend was to toss the box in favor of cloth. In those days it was one of the few pip decks one could get their hands on, so I cherished it. The English names are unfortunate especially for the female pope, etc. But it is a fun and happy deck. Thank you for watching.
You're killing me! Lol. I just bought Tarot of the Master have plans to buy both the Gassman and Budapest tarot. The Gassman is lovely due to the addition of the green.
Tempérance card in Gassmann Tarot is so beautifully colored. 8:46 I love these green, red and blue wings with touches of yellow. The star card so pretty too. I do not like the redrawing of the faces in the classic tarot, it loses the woodcut look.
I really love the Classic deck. Not only the colour palette but the redrawn faces and the suit cards are lovely. I really like that shade of green in the Gassmann.
I really like this cups. So round and beautiful. I have the kaplan one because the cups are blue or real or cerulean. Hehe Thanks for the comparison video! Are there any other decks that have the same rounds cups?
Hello! Off the top of my head, other Swiss decks. I'll peruse my decks at another time to see which other decks might have this trait. Thank you for your interest and for watching and commenting! ~ Marilyn
Hi Marilyn, this is going to take you back as you did this comparison 4 years ago - but I've recently managed to find a very reasonably priced vintage Tarot Classic (hurrraye!) and tonight I've been enjoying getting to know this gorgeous deck a little more. following along your detailed video. They're both fab and the Ace of Cups an overwhelming stunner! Thanks as always 💛
@lotuswands Back in the day, historic decks were tough to come by, and this (and few others) was as close as I could get. I loved this deck, still do! It's charming!
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity I agree it's really charming makes it very enjoyable to use. My only gripe is the pink skin colouring. I much prefer when they keep the skin the same as the paper 🙂
I've done that on videos as well. I think I am in the minority of people who see a connection between these two decks. Most people think the Gassmann and the Burdel are a closer connection.
I love both of these.. Tarot Classic is one of my favorites ever

Love the Gassman, love the new kickstarter TdM, starting to love them all.
They are the best :) I'll be featuring a Besançon in my next video. Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn

Right?! The Gassmann colors are so pretty!

I know what you mean about leaving the skin color the color of the paper.

I just went to comment on this video and I realized I commented 8 months ago below 😂 Synchronicity?
