Glad I read this comment instead of trying to install the mod and getting frustrated when I realized it is broken right now.

Money. Despite the moderate hype and the attempts by Facebook to push VR as the next big thing, the vast majority of gamers do not have a VR headset and can't play VR games... so adding VR compatibility to the game would not have much influence on sales. Especially not enough to compensate for the time and effort required to make a game fully VR-playable.

Ah yes. The unparalleled immersion of carpet-bombing an entire city block with grenades, blowing up cars by the hundreds and civilians by the thousands. Getting into a protracted fire-fight with Max-Tac and surviving.... then going around the next block only to find everything has been magically erased like it never happened... and you're not even on the news or anything. Yet apparently some other guy gets on the news for blowing up one little van outside the city. The wonders of absolutely nothing you do having any impact on the world whatsoever... not even in the plot itself. Every action is a waste of time and effort. So immersive!
Was wondering when you'd get to Cyberpunk after your Red Dead video. I spent a good 200 hrs in VR a couple of patches ago, with a full modlist to boot. Hell of a time
Ok, 8:20 is just hilarious. This moment alone convinced me that a proper VR mode in Cyberpunk 2077 would be AMAZING! Just imagine what a real VR could be like if a mere mod is this good! Bruh... When I finally can get me a new computer, with any luck early next year. I look forward to playing Cyberpunk 2077. I for it to be one of the first games I play on my new PC. I've been putting off playing Cyberpunk just because I had originally planned to build a new PC a few years ago but life creates priorities and injuries, so I do what I need to do. I always thought this world was pretty but now I’m inspired to take it to the next level with a headset to further immerse myself in the world by chipping in to V’s skull right next to Johnny
My biggest problem with PC VR compared to Android VR is the lack of a pedometer. In VR Android games you can walk in place in real life to walk in-game, just like how you used to walk in Kinect games on the Xbox360. You can also jump the same way. I doubt this can be implemented through some hacky way in PC VR games, due to the lack of supporting hardware. This would also play great with the Samsung Gear VR Controller, because you have the touchpad directional buttons for the D-pad actions, you have the 4 face buttons for the different weapons, the touchpad can be used for scrolling, the pointer can be used for controlling the direction of the weapon and the trigger button can be used for contextual actions since they are all mapped to the same button anyway (except exiting a car, but that can be mapped to the same button, because there isn't any instance when you can exit a car while in the middle of a dialogue). Accelerating and decelerating can be done with the directional buttons, because the weapons are inactive while in a car. And, obviously, walking and jumping would be controlled by the pedometer of the phone hooked up to the VR headset. That would be my preffered way of playing. And i really hope somebody could figure out a way to use the Samsung Gear VR to play Cyberpunk 2077 in VR.
29:18 - 32:14 sums up my experience perfectly and I came to the same conclusion without vr. You spoken into words, what my very soul was feeling. By the end of the game when I went with alt I was having a panic attack. For me. Totally worth the 60.
If you want to be more immersived in vr, I find that being an anxious, sleep deprived, absent-minded person adds that feeling of "wait I was in a game?"
Fantastic video. The haloing effect might get to me a bit, but if they figure that out, or i just suck it up and play it. this looks amazing. makes me want to replay, esp with the new updates
23:40 I love this. It's something I've done for a long time in a lot of games now. Who needs a minimap when you have such an excellent level design? I would rather use my brain and my eyes to understand my environment. Awesome that you mentioned it. I think games should move away from these ubiquitous huds that give you every little bit of information rather than relying on immersion and giving the users some credit to figure things out.
The Gustavo Orta gig was a frustrating one when you let him live.... like, what he did after was unthinkable... but then again padre said, They were the perfect example of romeo and juliet right before the gig....

“Seated VR” is really the only way to play actual “games”. I actually wish there was a step back from this idea that every VR experience should be a bone lab level of “immersion”.

Seeing how awesome Cyberpunk turned out (albeit with a bumpy start) makes me wish CDPR would take on the Dredd IP one day. Mega-City One in VR... drool
speaking of cars, yes, each car is different I first thought all cars handle the same and the difference is only speed, its one of those details you can easily miss ,since cars dont have stats like weapons, but for instance I notice some sports cars have more stability than others, some swerve as you make a turn while others dont, heavy cars and trucks handle differently than normal cars, motorbikes handle completely different, this is one of the things I love about CDPR , attention to details also the philosophical substance behind their games, they have philosophical and moral aspects that they player can explore if they wish to, they are not forced or pretentious, its organic, if you want to look deep into it, you can, if you only want a pewpew scifi game with a nice storyline , you can also have that. About VR ..... (this is the future CP2077 warns us about ) I would be worried a scav would try to harvest me for parts the moment I put on that VR headset lol .
I see you already have a lot of positive reviews on your video, and it was really spectacular experience to me too! Now I wanna ask you.

When you play Cyberpunk 2077 in VR, you play as Johnny Silverhand, who watches the story from V's head, but cannot fully control this body.
If you want to be more immersived in vr, I find that being an anxious, sleep deprived, absent-minded person adds that feeling of "wait I was in a game?"
After watching this -- I am replaying 2077 from the start once Phantom Liberty comes out - in VR
holy shit this is the best cyberpunk essay video
Wow this is so badass and amazing. I'd definitely buy a VR headset for this.
Seated VR is literally all I’m waiting for
Fantastic video.
I think games should move away from these ubiquitous huds that give you every little bit of information rather than relying on immersion and giving the users some credit to figure things out.
jeeeesus christ! GIMMEE THIS MOD!!!! that is sooo too real!!
The Gustavo Orta gig was a frustrating one when you let him live.... like, what he did after was unthinkable... but then again padre said, They were the perfect example of romeo and juliet right before the gig....
bro, i hope you get successful on wtv it is your doing with your channell...... that video was so good !!!! straight 🔥
Brilliant video. I'm on the verge of building a system just to play Cyberpunk in VR, but just can't muster the finances required to enjoy it to the fullest. Maybe someday.
The mod doesn't work anymore with 2.0 update and you only find out after paying the 10€ for the patreon sub.
okie you've convinced me to play this in VR now
Well done and well said! man give me a hug!!!
“Seated VR” is really the only way to play actual “games”. I actually wish there was a step back from this idea that every VR experience should be a bone lab level of “immersion”.
“Understandment” isn’t a word
This was a great watch and thanks for all the effort!
Ya done blew me away. I refuse to play 2077 until I can play it in VR, now. Good to know that it's playable on an RTX 2070, though.
Wish I had vr. Been waiting my whole life for it to come out
Bro I'm 12 hours in on ps5 and I am fucking praying they release a vr version, I love this video so much I stopped watching because of spoilers but I get all the feelings you are describing. Maby you should try no man's sky for another video because that game gave me chills in vr, in a good way. Anyway love your shit and keep up the good work.
Edit: You already made a no man's sky video imma watch that now.
the first minute is better marketing than all of what cdpr did
Please go back for Phantom Liberty. It’s twice as emotional and jam-packed of a story!
I'm so glad that cyberpunk is having a redemption arc after all this time
Awesome Video, thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep it up, you made me dust off my old Oculus.
Update: I played for 10 minutes and got dizzy for several hours
man, now i hope CDPR sees this and appreciates it as much as i do. It would be awesome if they hire the mod dev and make it official
i play starcitizen and i really want to fly in the cities like you did in NC
that's basically the same POV I have in starcitizen
This video was solid man!!!! excellent narration
Cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite game. I don’t think it’s the best game ever but the game I love to play the most. I love Night City. One of not the best virtual city ever created.
ive loved cyberpunk since release and had vr since the dk1, but after trying a free VR mod I just assumed the game didn't port well and it wasn't meant to be...
so thank you for this video! took me about 2 minutes of watching to decide luke ross' mod was worth it and I'm loving the experience so far. Your experiences playing this first time in VR sound amazing and I'm trying to recreate it on my Nth playthrough of this game 😆
Seeing how awesome Cyberpunk turned out (albeit with a bumpy start) makes me wish CDPR would take on the Dredd IP one day. Mega-City One in VR... drool
15:58 oh my god, that's fuckin hysterical
speaking of cars, yes, each car is different I first thought all cars handle the same and the difference is only speed, its one of those details you can easily miss ,since cars dont have stats like weapons, but for instance I notice some sports cars have more stability than others, some swerve as you make a turn while others dont, heavy cars and trucks handle differently than normal cars, motorbikes handle completely different, this is one of the things I love about CDPR , attention to details
also the philosophical substance behind their games, they have philosophical and moral aspects that they player can explore if they wish to, they are not forced or pretentious, its organic, if you want to look deep into it, you can, if you only want a pewpew scifi game with a nice storyline , you can also have that.
About VR ..... (this is the future CP2077 warns us about ) I would be worried a scav would try to harvest me for parts the moment I put on that VR headset lol .
dude made the entirety of cyberpunk into a BD
I see you already have a lot of positive reviews on your video, and it was really spectacular experience to me too! Now I wanna ask you. Please, do more content like this and if you can tell Luke Ross to make horror game SOMA playable in VR mode... man this will be a wild video with your artistic approach. Subcribed!
10:52 uh oh, prepare your 7th planet
CDPR NEEDS TO RELEASE AN OFFICIAL VR MODE AND CALL IT “THE BRAINDANCE UPDATE” seems like a no brainer for this game.
i saw this and i said no way can i run this on my rtx 2070 but then i saw the description and i have to say i got so happy and im really considering trying this out
Great Vid, Young Man!
