There’s no evidence to suggest the dog is actually thinking in the way we understand thought, especially when it’s standing in front of the buttons. What’s more likely happening is that the dog has learned over time that pressing those buttons gets a reaction from the owner, so it’s not ‘thinking’ in the way a human might-it’s more of a learned behavior based on routine. Dogs are incredibly perceptive when it comes to body language and patterns, but that doesn’t mean they’re forming complex thoughts or decisions. There’s no scientific proof that dogs using these soundboards are consciously thinking or making decisions the way humans do. They can learn to understand words or phrases and what they mean after repetition of actions that take place after those words are said. Yes great job Bunny! I want a part to on how to teach your dog to “talk”. Edit:(1 month later) OMG! Guys thanks so much for 200+ likes, that's the most I've gotten.
Hunger for Words' channel has a heap of videos on how to teach your dog (or other pet) how to talk. The creator is a speech therapist, & that's how she came up with the idea of teaching her dog to talk to begin with! Edit: here's a link to the channel I mentioned above: ruclips.net/channel/UC4n1G-BIHCYu1suNxLRjcyg 🙂
@@its_aayt2- you're welcome, there's heaps of videos of people, inspired by Hunger for Words, teaching their own animals to talk too, in addition to the Hunger for Words channel's videos... BilliSpeaks is one of my favourites - she's a tortie cat who's very talkative. 🙂 If you plan to train your own pet to use buttons too, I'd love to see videos eventually! Are you aiming to do that?
This is so cool 😎. That dog is so smart. He/she really really wanted to play with dad (probably rough house) but settled for tug of war with mom lol crazy. I can watch these videos all day

yeah it's pretty impressive how bunny can virtually talk but honestly I'm much more impressed at how he remembers where each button is. I know I would forget in like a week
It's actually quite interesting that dogs can learn to communicates with humans in this way. When you teach certain words to them, there's no way for them to say those words to you vocally unless they were somehow specially trained to do so. Giving them a way to speak those words also gives them the opportunity to learn how humans react and respond to them, expanding their understanding even more because they're watching what happens when they speak them.
After watching videos of a dog named Stella, I was very interested in this. Bunny was featured on daily dose of internet today, and I just had to come to this channel. I want to teach my dog this, its just incredible. You should post a video(s)of how to teach your dog how to speak through buttons.
I saw some other videos that show this. The buttons were at first in locations the dog might connote with certain actions, like the 'outside' button was by the door. Then you'd make the dog have to press the button before the action takes place. That part is classic pavlovian, teach the dog the sound, colour, feel of the button and allow it to commit it to memory. Then you combine the buttons into a board so the dog can start to press buttons in more of a quick succession. Then I think the last step is adding more complicated terms, such as questions and adjectives, and pressing the buttons and replicating the sounds yourself often. This is just my guess from a short session of watching these vids.

I found you guys through tiktok today and I must say I'm completely obsessed with the amount of progress made with Bunny and I adore you guy's bond so much. 🥺
What would happen if Bunny got together with the other talking button dogs? Could they have an actual conversation?
I’d love to see that.
They'd probably just speak dog, lmao.
@@OnEiNsAnEmOtHeRfUcKa ha, good point!
AAAAAWWWW ... SO CUTE!!!!! What an intelligent lil pup.
What a beautiful dog !
And so intelligent.
You lucky lady !.
❤😂❤
Bunny want to play with mom?
Bunny: *thinks for a while*
“Do you want mom play?”
I’m guessing there’s not a NO button then.
If there was a no button... the risk would be she may start ignoring all of the other buttons. Like that lady who gave her cat the "mad" button... Guess which button she keeps pushing all day long??? Mad, mad, mad, mad, mad! :D
@@Yourebeautyfull Billi now has a much wider selection of buttons and doesn't get frustrated as often.
@@Yourebeautyfull there is a no button. I don't know if it was there when this video was filmed. Also Billi doesn't use mad as much now.
My dog occasionally obeys when I tell him to sit. Sigh.
teach him the buttons..
Bunny is good dog and she knows it!
I love this dog Bunny, SO good, what a good good good dog! finding it hard not to tear up watching how beautiful Bunny is...can hardly bear it, such an innocent beautiful being
I have never seen this before! Amazing concept... Glad I happened to come across this video and got to see how it works. What a wonderful way to give a furry family member a voice. :)
I love watching Bunny considering everything she hears. You can tell she is mulling it over. 😍
Amazing how bunny not only understands and even uses the words, but as sentences too! I know i would forget which one is which if i couldn’t read lol
I love this beautiful dog. And she is so smart.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love seeing these "talking" animal videos. IMO, this PROVES animals are thinking, feeling beings that deserve FAR more respect & kindness than they get....especially from some people.
it's amazing what you and bunny are doing together! and so glad you share it on RUclips too, as I don't have a tiktok! ❤️
I can't imagine how this must feel sharing & communicating so many things. This is beautiful. She is precious.
I had a standard poodle that spoke and understood everything. He was wonderful.
I took German in college and so did my dog, Mandy, a poodle mix. I used to call her monkey because she was so smart.
She's both brilliant and AHHHDORABLE 🥰🤗💜💫💜💯
Don't know what to say other than beautiful doggy 🐾💕🐾 my goodness 🐾🥰
I think I need this just to talk to my teenagers these days.
Who’s good?
Bunny
my heart awww
@@LustStarrr thanks!
Fern H hi I went to the channel didn’t see any instructional videos, maybe they were removed?
@@LustStarrr yes I am, so sorry I didn’t respond sooner, I was so busy with my puppy and other stuff.
She's such a sweet, gentle soul. ❤
This is so cool 😎. That dog is so smart. He/she really really wanted to play with dad (probably rough house) but settled for tug of war with mom lol crazy. I can watch these videos all day
Bless her heart! Good job Bunny!
The look of sadness when she heard “Dad play later” ugh I love
You can see the lil wheels turning! So cute!
Sending love to you and bunny!
I love watching Bunny take time to process. Those sweet eyes!
You can see the little gears turning behind her eyes when she's interpreting her mom's words and considering her response.
After an awkward silence Bunny finally decided that mom would have to do as a suitable replacement for playtime until Dad arrives...
This channel is so underrated
Precious, Adorable, Brilliant pup-pup :D ❤️🧡💛
Bunny is have a straight up conversation with her owner, and here I am a year and a half into training my dog and all he can do is sit... God bless him he's a good boy, but he won't give me his paw if his life depended on it.
yeah it's pretty impressive how bunny can virtually talk but honestly I'm much more impressed at how he remembers where each button is. I know I would forget in like a week
Bunny knows there is no play with mom. Only class.
“Dad play?”
“Dad bye”
Me: oh god it’s happening again? Where are you daddy?!?!
Love,love Bunny!🤗💖🌷
That’s great! ❤
Just more proof that kids need their dad in their life...
You can see her wheel turning ... this is AMAZING
the way he's processing all this is amazing 🤩
aww poor bunny. she's so cute just wants to play with her dad.
Wow. This is incredible.
Don’t forget to tell the canine Ouija board goodbye. It could be disastrous 😎
oh god imagine a dog having a mental breakdown
Canine ouija. Now it's the official name for this device.
@@eldron29-a54 Edie Brickell - ghost of dog
I see we have now evolved doggos to Windows 98 Processing speeds. Just 5 more versions to go!
The way Bunny pauses and thinks 😂👍
Look at all those buttons! Holy crap!!! That’s one smart doggy!!!
There's this Getting Started tutorial video that she made:

@@dave5194 Thanks! By the time i am reading this I saw it, but that is pretty helpful for other people :-)
Bunny is way cuter
@@applejones1697 I don't hold an opinion on the cuteness of the animals being taught to speak through buttons, thank is your opinion.
"Dad Bye." I felt that.
💙☺💙 SHE AMAZES ME EVERY DAY💙 I GET as THRILLED as if BUNNY WAS MINE💙. I'M SO GLAD YOU POPPED UP from the START of THIS WHOLE LEARNING ""EXPERIMENT"" for ME WATCHING from the OUTSIDE.💙FROM the BEGINNING of YOUR POSTS with BUNNY, I WAKE UP & WONDERED if THERE'S a NEW POST YET !?! 💙 I LOVE HER as IF WERE MY OWN.💙

Gorgeous dog. I feel sorry for Bunny! This is like work, and we all need a weekend off or a break. Bunny, tell your family they aren't busy enough!
You can see the gears turning in her head. What a smart doggo.
