I got goosebumps when I heard that "Woooww!" sound effect, for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Thanks for giving this 25 year old some good memories back. Upon hearing the sound effects, kindergarten all came flooding back to me.

Used this in kindergarten! My favorite erase feature was the door bell just because that thing said "Wwwoooooooww!"

This was the best version. We had this one in elementary, they had us use the colored transparent Macs, lab time was the shit. So much discovery and fun.
Loved seeing the different weird combinations of sounds and the tools in this as a kid. Can tell the authors really had fun making this.

The memories!!😭😭I remember making all the weirdest and best shit in elementary school with this game. We all used the old early 2000s computers with windows xp. Man the memories..
I remember there was music, classical music. So I kept listening, hoping to hear it, as it played within my memory. (one of the two songs, the other one I'd remember right away once I heard it)

One kid used the bomb eraser effect and the strobe lights came on and he had a seizure, and hit his head while falling backwards. lol

My favorite eraser is the black hole. It's interesting because it feels so mysterious and creepy.
A single solitary mysteriously powerful black hole enters the screen and exerts some powerful radiation.

it's too bad all of the teachers were terrified of breaking the computers and being blamed for it so we very rarely used them

I want to hear those "Draw Me" challenges. (e.g. "I'm a humongous fungus with a magic cookie jar and I blow smoke out my ears!", "I am Commander Salamander on a funny cat-cow that goes 'Moo-meow' and I hate mayonnaise! Ugggh!") Those phrases are hilarious! You go to the Goodies section and find "Pick a Draw Me", then click it.
My dad would get soooo mad when I printed my artwork out.

Odd.. the kid pix sd I remember playing (for windows).. I was forced to slow down the computer by a ton in order to get fluid eraser action, or else all the erasers finish faster than the blink of the eye.. I wonder what different version this may be
probably the mac version. We had it on iMac, my guess is the PC one was a crappy port
You were forced to slow down the computer? How do you do that?
There's this little program I used called "Battle Encoder Shirasé" (BES) which inserts sleep/awake cycles into a process in order to force it to execute much slower. I can't remember from the top of my head which threshold I found to work the best but I think it was around 30ms; setting it too high would cause the audio to become stuttery. For this reason, I found it worked the best with a single core Netbook running at 0.8Ghz to make acceptable thresholds' slowdown more effective.
Man I loved using this in elementary school! It was so dang fun!
