Really great builds, although I'd strongly suggest moving your conditional (cast at x%) skills to the first few slots to improve survivability - they will be ignored if not needed, but when needed they are higher priority than even taunting. I agree with your tier list, but you are missing some good tricks. With Ember you are missing the 20% damage reduction from her thunderous form. I also think you underestimate Mirri's invisibility in tanking... As weird as it sounds, use 5 pieces of medium armor for the other invisibility skill, and whenever she gets in trouble she will disappear and be IMMUNE to almost all damage, so return fully healed... The taunt will automatically re-engage when she becomes visible again, so often the boss won't have moved far. It's not a conventional tank, but Mirri is more independently survivable than any other build here.
I am just coming back to ESO after quite some time away and am running Isobel with my Magic Arcanist and gave her a destro staff, I am so glad i found this. She has a lot of these skills open to her, and i have put her as a tank, and I'm LOVING her...tysm 🤩
Amusingly, I just built Bastion exactly the way shown, all purple, heavy, vigorous, same skills, then took him to the group event in Silent Halls and he died in about three seconds. It was fine, it's not like I couldn't do it on my own, but I guess his uses are situational.
Crimson Font and Searing Weapons are very useful skills for Bastion, so long as he can manage to stay alive to use them. Crimson Font lasts 16 seconds, 28m radius, gives decent passive healing, and a fantastic healing synergy. Cooldown is long but you can still get almost 50% uptime. Searing Weapons lasts 8 seconds, 28m radius, and gives 15% unique bonus to light and heavy attacks. Cooldown of 16 seconds, so again about a 50% uptime. If your character has decent group healing to help keep Bastion alive, for example a MagBlade DPS running Sap Essence and Echoing Vigor, then these are great options.
Please update your Companion Tank build for all current companions and the next two. Also mote Tellvani Efficency is making a difference as well. Value your guidance.
Nice video - got me to change two skills for Bastian (who is my go-to companion as an almost indestructable tank already). Isobel may be a decent tank too, but I only use her to finally get her up to lvl 20 so I can then put her on the shelf. 😛 Kudos to you for also listing the best tank skills for the other two, but who in his sane mind would want Amber or Mirri to do tanking, when they are so obviously aimed at damage dealing and healing?
Thankyou for that comprehensive build video. Will make the changes to Bastian and run him once Isobel maxes out at level 20. Note: The website has the skill information for Mirri on Isobel and Ember. Might need looking at. Generically the page appears to be a comparison for Bastian and Mirri the other two being dropped in as an after thought. Might need a rewrite to highlight the points you raised in the Build Video.
Do Bastion/Isobel tank'ish companions have access to any Area Taunt you could recommend ??? After this vid I am trying Bastion with my sorc but every time their is two or more mobs Bastion runs at one wile the rest make a b-line at me LOL! At least with Ember she can entrap them or whatever? or the chalafer pet seems to get all their attention? Would really appreciate a reply. TY.
Hello There’s no AoE taunts in ESO, it’s tricky because of the situation you mentioned having a crowd control skill sounds good it’s just a shame they are on such long cool-downs and not always available
Thats not his fault man blame the devs. Just because the best tank build dies doesn't mean its not the best tank build. Falkreath is one of the hardest hitting normal dungeons too btw. It's one of the only ones I can't solo in my squishy dps setup, have to slot some defensive skills.
I am trying to make Isobel my tank but I am definitely not spending millions of gold on the gear. I don't believe I've gotten a purple drop in the past month I've returned to the game.

Just returned to ESO recently and this is really helpful. Thank you.

Any plans on a Necrom update?

thank you for all this information
Great video, very helpful. :)
Do companins class 20% damage reduction and Fighters Guild circle 20% damage reduction stack?
It was bound to happen

Your using a companion on the hardest dungeons? No duh they gonna die kid😂

The gear doesn't need to be perfect in purple, just having the correct traits would be sufficient to begin with
@@TheTankClub it's rough lol. Even blue prices. I have almost 9m gold but damn lol
