Good evening, I was very interested in your demonstration concerning the sampling on the Fantom. Thank you so much . So I have a few questions to ask you: 1: Is it possible to sample a scene from the Fantom for 5 to 10 minutes without stopping? I am used to creating songs on my synths (Kronos, ..) in 'real time' and improvising without counting the time spent or the number of bars to exceed. But with the Fantom, you cannot exceed 32 bars! I no longer have this so I'm not sure, but I don't know that you would be able to change notes in a sample after it is recorded as it is not MIDI data.
Absolutely not, the fantom is light years in chopping behind the old fantom. they are not created equal. The new one gets a C- compared to the old one. You are forced to sample to pads which is crazy when you could live sample across all the keys and slice the samples as you do it.

Thanks for watching.
why would they remove the full sampler and choppin features , that is so lame Roland , how are yaw goin backwards with the production of music? Roland this is bad guys smdh ... MV 8800 / MV 8000 and Fantom x6 and g6 i still the ultimate sampler workstation ...but the MV series is the absolute best sampler workstation they ever made....1000% facts
Loved the MV!!
Kinda lame thats it doesn't chop, time stretch, or have velocity sensitive pads Just give us what we want smh.
The pads are the kicker for me, all of the other stuff could be added. I'd use the pads for drums and such though. I'm not really trying to chop/sample on here but I'd love some audio tracks LOL.
That's so dum they should've kept it like the fantom x series , phrase sampling with all that power is dum they need to revamp the x6 series keep it the same just upgrade the CPU, sequencer and sounds and sample engine ...the x6 series was a true workstation roland is goin backwards I will not be buying that machine I'll stick to the MPC keys
I hear ya!
