@@crazyfriendist yes, TNR was best in Telugu, he used to proper no nonsense interviews for hours. It was first time I sat watching 2-3 hour long interviews of him. Sadly he passed away in Corona 2nd wave. The bar he set is yet to touch by anyone.
To see the insights into a legendary filmmaker like Rajamouli' through the legendary editor was a delight! And both from legendary Telugu families (srikar Prasad garu is the grandson of the great LV Prasad)
Rajamouli sir's vision is what makes his films one of a kind in the world. RRR is definitely the best Large scale Technical film ever to come out of India. Rajamouli sir has that knack for Storytelling and him being Indian makes me fell proud. He’s already one of the best filmmakers in the World but in the coming years, he’ll be the Greatest Filmmaker of our time.

Iam really impressed with the anchor, he is so smart to establish conversation at the same time he is making Sreekar garu comfortable, long way to go man all the best
What wonderful insights... We have just completed a dual language Film... With South actor Bharath and it's a film based out of Goa... It also has a Tamil version and that's how I was put in touch with this link to understand the nuances of cutting films for the South... The genius of Sir Sreekars advice is definitely inspiring to even experienced post production experts and he is so clear... Good job Srikar and Sreekar..
These days people are not willing to pay attention even for 30 seconds/few minutes especially with shorts and reels that have become so popular but at the same time we see people are ready to consume web series with multiple seasons. I think it's always the right content and good screenplay will engage the audience.
This is great conversation I loved the way how Srikar Prasad sir broke down each question and answered them with full interest. Completely engaging :) Editor of this interview too did a great job of making conversation of two Srikars interesting :D
Bro, you understood in wrong way. He liked it when Rajamouli said he is making RRR for Telugu audience. Same with Mani Ratnam as he made PS 1 for Tamil audience. Last 20 yrs nunchi Sreekar Prasad is editing Mani Ratnam films. He will never roast Mani.
Interviewer is not a natural conversationalist. Not sure if it is a language issue or camera issue but he seems to have a mental speedbreaker for every three words and it shows.
I think before RRR many films had gone to west let's say Dangal, Endhiran, 2.0, Even Rajamouli's bahubali and many Films of Kamal had gone to Oscars. I don't know why everyone having a tagline of First film which reached globally.
No one has reached RRR popularity in west. Its the first one to actually be popular mainstream west. Same popularity won them the oscar. Endhiran, bahubali never had that.
Wonderful learning for aspiring filmmakers.., interviewer is really good but virataparvam..common buddy, it's a bledy mediocre writing, don't get angered so much when the audience rejects films of your childish liking
If Directors or Screenwriters are strong enough with their shot divison and their writing respectively, Editors are technical operators (alias puppets)..oops. This might offend Editors ... but the good news is ... there are many confused Directors out there.... And, YOU ARE THE UNSING DIRECTORS OF THOSE FILMS ... P.S: I am not speaking of this editor of hit films.
Finally a telugu interviewer who can have meaningful film criticism interviews rather than regular praising of the guest to death!!
Very much!
You mean English interviewer?

More than anything, love the fact that you've chosen to interview a key technician. It was very very interesting, hope you continue these.

Is the remuneration of an editor mentioned in the interview in the 55th minute is correct? As per calculation by Sreekar Prasad it is very very low.
you should have asked about the KGF 2 editing.. how he took that sort of edit?

Silence in a scene has been in SSR's arsenal for years..RRR isn't the first one.
