OK BUT INSERTING THE STAŃCZYK PAINTING AS A "BORED DEMON" IS SO INACCURATE AND HILARIOUS AT THE SAME TIME (for context, he was a royal jester in Poland and he was very dissapointed in how things were back then)
I was about to write a comment like that 😂 also disappointed is a very nice way of saying he's heartbroken at least on the painting, which makes the "bored demon" even funnier to me XD
After talking about your cat enjoying Drawfee, when you later said "sleeve concept" my mind automatically connected it to Drawfee's line of "enjoy your meal concept" lol
I love this! You've somehow landed at the crossroads of "Victorian showgirl" and "what if the queen of hearts were a batman villan?" ❤❤ amazing job as always! You're skills are really progressing really nicely.
Corset making tip, to help keep the lining and outer fabric more aligned you can baste them together at the seams before you sew the boning channels to keep things lined up better. Alternatively you can also use the sandwich method Morgan Donner tried in one of her corset making experiment videos.
"Have you done any impulsive sewing projects lately?" let me tell you, I lost my mind and made a full body sandworm costume to go see dune 2 in. in like 24 hours. it was the best decision I've ever made.
I absolutely love love the design and how it turned out. The Drawfee crossover was more than i could ever expect. Your videos have always been interesting, and look forward to your next projects
i feel like a patreon goal for kira should be one of those super ergonomic desk chairs to save her spine in the drafting and cutting sections- fr tho this is such a beautiful fit!!
yes i have done an impulsive sewing project this year, i spent months knitting little squares and then hand sewed them together into a quilt, my ADD can't handle not moving my hands for prolonged periods of time edit: skirrrt mullet whoooo!
I will say as far as formatting goes I love the style of your videos. It actually feels like a cosplayer showing us their work. And while it can get choppy it doesn’t feel “overly processed”(?) like some professional cosplayers can do (no shade to them, I just learn a lot and am inspired by your videos). Loved this piece and cant wait to see the next costume!
It turned out amazing I love it ❤🌹💋🩸 Might I recommend *fusible interfacing!* It’s quite beneficial for cut outs and when you make corsets out of fabric that is not intended for corsets. Also I suspect that your lining doesn’t match up because you weren’t precise enough with cutting everything according to the grainline and now they stretch differently. The “proper” way is that on your pattern you always have a line that indicates the grainline and then you match that up when laying it on the fabric. Having a pattern maker or a ruler with a 90 degree angle handy to mark a straight line on the fabric that you can then go off of also helps. Also if you want to level up your corset skills I’d recommend Sara Spaceman’s video on everything you need to know about corset making (and her cosplay videos in general)
This costume is so dramatic (complimentary)! You did a terrific job, and it's doubly impressive since this is the first corset you've made in this style! Always worth the wait for a more complex, meticulously planned piece that you're feeling into! Loved it!
Your timing is impeccable. Costume has to be done by end of day today, I'm drained of all energy and motivation. Took a break to drink some coffee and find some inspiration floating about in the ether of the universe... and here you are with a fresh video! Thank you! Thank you, thank you!
This is probably my favorite project of yours. The shape, the colors, the textures, the corset shape with the heart and hips, the horn hat, the sleeves, I absolutely love this and would wear this myself ❤
This video was really fun. And the final result was incredible. Your videos always make my day. Also wanna add you looked stunning in the beginning of the video that outfit makes you look so beautiful. I aspire to be half a cool as u. Lovely work
The horns give me the red villain from power puff girls and now I can't unsee the entire outfit as that 😂❤ but this is amazing such fantasy and *chefs kiss* its sooo good
You should invest in hip making hip pads. You can even make them out of scrap fabric and they are very easy to make. I think it will save you alot of time in some of your projects.
Looks like another comment of mine was deleted... I shared a link to a video RUclips showed me directly after watching this one, and it's about vampire fashion in film. I thought you would enjoy it, since you like dressing like a vampire so much. I won't link it now, in case that's why the comment was deleted, but it was posted by Girl On Film.
I also despise making a mock up SO, my tip is to cut out and sew together the lining as a kind of mock up first (because its easier to redo or chop up without the final product looking different) Hope this helps!
There are points during the project where I think, "oooo, I don't know about that" but FORGIVE MY UNBELIEF! You always pull an absolutely successful outfit off at the end. You are amazing!
I think my most impulsive sewing project as of late was probably my prom dress! I saw pretty fabric at the thrift store, and I had to get it. I had never sewn a dress up until that project, and it actually turned out really pretty! This is one of my favorite projects by you, and i love coming back to it :3
in LOVE with the final project!❤️ would love to crotchet the pearled demon hat! improvised padding suggestion: shoulder pads! i used some recently because i also love the dramatic hip corsets.
for next year's Valloween, I'm going to do this corset, but pink, and the spider queen bustle skirt and pool noodle legs, but also pink. With a pink wig. Thank you for the Valloween inspiration
WHOA Kira and Drawfee in one video is filling me with joy! I've been watching Drawfee for YEARS! I love all of you so much! I'm only 20 minutes into the video, but I believe in the power of trusting the process
Whenever I watch your videos I get the strong urge to buy a house in the woods and start designing and sewing clothes inspired by specifically uquiz results
I love the way you cut and edit! It feels fast-paced and slightly chaotic, which is super fun and matches your narration. I imagine it feels repetitive to you but, as viewers, it feels comforting to know what the pace and format will be. That's my 2 cents, anyhow. Also, I love watching you decorate things that are already more deocrated that things I make. I'm trying to up my embellishment game. 😅
This video had so much energy and was so much fun. Thank you sm for making my day (or, well, night on my continent) again ! The final result is chefs kiss. The patience needes to do this is something lacking in my skills lol.
I absolutely love the red you used! It looks so freaking cool! A fancy looking card fan would have also looked cool and fit the queen of rose vibe. But very nice vid!
I have tried patterns from corset pattern maker. I'm not really superhappy with how they turn out. I have used the renfair bodice as a top for girls dresses though. It works great for no to small boob ladies.
I will tell you from personal experience, a grommet press is 100% worth the investment. It now takes me minutes to install grommets into my corsets as opposed to the literal hours I would spend hammering in grommets.
A dumb idea for the sleeves that doesn't involve completely remaking them but maybe solves the lack of elastic: of you put a little button tab thing on the underside of the sleeve, connecting it to the bodice, they can remain removable but not fall down as much. Just like some little snaps or something on the bodice, a tiny strip of fabric attached to the top edge of the sleeve, bing bang boom? Idk if that made sense lol

The devil horn hood/hat is a kind of wimple. A kind of medieval head covering women used to wear. I thought you might like to know. (^_^)
Idk but i LOVE installing grommets and rivets i get to go BANG BANG SMASH WALLOP with a hammer and it just pleases me
Love the Tiger interlude and the Drawfee cameo!
same

I love this project so much!! It feels so playful and devilish in a cute and coquette-ish way. But you know what it needs?
A HEART-THEMED PITCHFORK.
This is an excellent idea 😤🤌
Yesssss❤
Absoluteley yes 100%
I also am enamored anytime Julia drawfee draws a line
After talking about your cat enjoying Drawfee, when you later said "sleeve concept" my mind automatically connected it to Drawfee's line of "enjoy your meal concept" lol
Oh my god drawfee and prickly alpaca overlap!!!! This was something I never knew I needed!
I ACTUALLY GASPED WHEN I SAW THE THUMBNAIL!!! IT LOOKS SO PRETTY AND WHIMSY OH MY GORD

Thank you for inserting that pic of Adam Driver to illustrate being short waisted. Most helpful.

How have I never thought about basting them together??? Thanks so much for the tip!

That's incredible omg
make your dreams a reality lol@@PricklyAlpaca
That cat is so valid for loving Drawfee, me too, friend, me too.
The monster high vibes are off the charts and i for one could not be happier
I don't care if it is 'late', I love it! It's fueling my need to sew something crazy! Thank you for sharing!

Every time you post a video I add it to my repertoire of Videos To Watch over and over, and over and over and over. For the rest of my life.
Wow Queen of Hearts design looks amazing cool
Yesssss mother moth has posted 🎉🎉
I too, have long legs and a short torso, which is mostly covered because I am busty on top of it all.
Same, and my legs are very thin but I have a large rib cage and shoulders so I feel like a Dorito with toothpicks taped to it
DRAWFEE REFERENCED LET’S GOOOOOOOO :D
It turned out amazing I love it ❤🌹💋🩸

The moth princess has blessed us!
The horned hood is definitely giving off Scarlet Witch vibes
When you said weird skirt mullet, I nearly spit out my drink 😂
also loved the dip into what the cat got up to ovr the course of the week
The way I SHRIEKED when this popped up on my feed 😍😍 amazing work ❤️
Anyone else feel like the design is also very scarlet witch-esc? As an Alice in Wonderland fan and Marvel fan I applaud you, this is amazing

Love seeing my obsession in random places
this dress looks happy, can't describe it with another word

Drawfee is my favorite channel ever. Been watching them since the first Pokémon from memory. You're cat has impeccable taste.
You should invest in hip making hip pads. You can even make them out of scrap fabric and they are very easy to make. I think it will save you alot of time in some of your projects.
its giving moulin rouge / burlesque and im so obsessed
I love it. It’s got this 1920s vibe that I adore. And the hat is fantastic.
I love the headpiece!!!! I must make one!

If u always cut lengths longer on corset bottom that will help greatly. As boning always chews up extra fab length😊

All you need is that sense of humor you have. That’s why I watch, you make me laugh. And its nice to know there are others who are as crazy as I am .

That thrift store makes me think you're on to something sinister despite this being a Valentine's-themed and I have no complaints. 🖤🖤🖤
This came out so super cute!!!! I'm stoked to see you continue to make all the pretty corsets.
I loved the applique/beading montage! Your projects are always so inspiring
I miss the knife microphone. 🤣

The queen of hearts and the joker card had a bastard child :0 (I love it!!)
Omg! Team not typically proportioned represent! Short waisted and huuuge ribcage with a small bust!

THE WAY YOUR MIND WORKS!!!! As always, pulling everything together into the most incredible look 😍
This is so cool! All of the beading and lace is such a nice touch! The Tiger segment is also such a cute addition.
This is so cool, you did such an amazing job !!
I would love to see more Alice inspired outfits !

I had a white and black splotchy cat named Tiger (1998-2017) too, truly the best cat I've had the pleasure of serving
the amount of hair clips at 21:14 ✨chef's kiss✨
the drawfee mention made me sooo happy ! ive been watching them while i do my crafty things for years :D
My older cat didn't care for screens until she and her younger sister watched Ice Age.
Omg producer name reveal!! And Drawfee crossover!! But for real this costume turned out incredible, I especially love the devil horn headpiece!
OooOOooh pretty! I like the lace, and I loooove sketchy looking thrift stores that look
18:30 Not gonna lie I was starting to think her name was Executive Producer
I absolutely love the red you used! It looks so freaking cool! A fancy looking card fan would have also looked cool and fit the queen of rose vibe. But very nice vid!

Again, Kira shows how pretty she looks in her newest outfit!! Kira seriously, you look so fucking PRETTY!!!😍😍😭💜💜💜
This is SO cute I love all the trims and ruffles and lace and beading and extra little details theyre so lovely
I have tried patterns from corset pattern maker. I'm not really superhappy with how they turn out. I have used the renfair bodice as a top for girls dresses though. It works great for no to small boob ladies.
I would like to say, the corset with the heart in the middle is giving "Angel Dust" 🩷🤍
yesss drawfee love
the highlight of my week whenever you post fr
Theis turned out so beautiful and whimsy! love the corset!!
I will tell you from personal experience, a grommet press is 100% worth the investment. It now takes me minutes to install grommets into my corsets as opposed to the literal hours I would spend hammering in grommets.
i'm HERE for the sparkly tape you used while patterning the corset
such an amazing costume, tiger was such a joker this week
OMG it reminds me of Wanda or Scarlett Witch from marvel and I love it
I need to figure out how to make that devil horn bonnet
Love the outfit from the start of the video, makes me think of a vampiric cupid!

You looked so slay during the commentary portions and I’m here for it
