  • Tomra recently acquired another RVM company known as CBSI (Cans and Bottle Systems Inc.). This machine was originally known as the OneStop Jr. This machine also features the glass crush option, which became available in 2013.
UPDATE: This machine has since been replaced with a Tomra T-53.

I really hope my local stores get some reverse vending machines soon. It would be a lot better than taking bags of recycles down to a facility infested with roaches and horrible forklift drivers.

Funny how this is still the only video of this machine.

Sorry to tell you that it’s going to be the only, I went back and there was a T-53 in its place.

Thanks for showing us the OS-jr! How does the glassbreaker work?

You have to remove the top so that the machine can properly crush it. You left the caps on more then one bottle.

interesting that you have to take caps off bottles to redeem them. glass breaking sound is fun.

Any chance of a revisit? I'm curious as to what the inside of the machine looks like and how it operates. Tomra didn't keep CBSI machines around for very long, and there's virtually no documentation or known locations with them.

I should go back soon. I just haven't been in the area.

This is a model from another company that was acquired by Tomra. I cant for the life of me remember what they where but they were the definition of shit. The can RVM's worked by placing a ton of cans in a bin, and then lifting the bin up where the machine would start. All you did was add more to the bin. While this should of worked, it ended up being extremely ineffective, and broke easily.

James, your videos are awesome. Love them. I took a video for you when I was in Lexington. Go to my channel to see it. Can you link the video of the tour that you mentioned to me when I got the bad news about the Source update?
