A beautiful quiet expression of faith in God our Saviour, whose power is achieved through simplicity and deep sincerity and not from overpowering volume nor an overabundance of notes and needless embellishment. Beautiful in its control and connection to our hearts, lifting us to the presence of our Father, God who loves and cares for us when we are in the place of loss and hurt.
I was so pleased to see the teaser for this the other day. Three of these are my most favorite hymns and I couldn’t wait to hear them. All of them are memorable from my childhood. Well done! I’ve listened to every song in every project and haven’t heard a single one I didn’t love. I first heard about PBH via TGC’s post about the Firstborn project and they linked to “Christ” which is still my favorite. Tree, Oh Tree is a very close second, and though it is hard to choose which of the completed works of the EveryPsalm project is best, Ps 30 is the most fun and a great way to start any day or lift any spirit. Our 2 and 4 year olds request “O the Joy…” at bedtime every night and they sing along as best they can with many of the others. Your work has been more impactful in our family than you know.
Very nice arrangement. Thanks for adding the 3rd verse that I had never heard before. This is one of the hymns I plan to have played at my funeral (not that I hope it is anytime soon).

Jody! Thanks so much for sharing all of this. Truly an encouragement. I pray the music continues to be a blessing to you!
Beautiful, everything I hoped for and more. I’m so thankful for your voices and interpretations of these lovely hymns. Wow, just WOW.
Beautiful! Thank you for your work on the Hymns (and the Psalms: my absolute favorite!).
