you can destroy a block while holding a machine. keep smashing the mousebutton until the block pops and one more click places the machine before a new block spawns
a more efficient way of placing destabilizers and resonators is on one side one resonator sandwiched by two destabilizers, same on the opposite side and on the perpendicular sides you have one destabilizer sandwiched by two resonators and it covers everything with minimal use of machines
Silos are useful to have the block converter machines working automatically *for a period* I have one silo surrounded by the converter machine for each type (saves so much headache)
While you are on the right track for the purpose of hellgem infuser I think it's more so that you can upgrade all your destabalizers to hellgem ones since they only provide a mining speed bonus if the block has a hellgem in it.

You need the disassembly tower, it gives all the resources back when you remove machines.
Yeah, but it costs a hellgem to destroy a thing. I'd wait until the hellgems are rolling in.
