María the scenes of the water streams are magestic and so healing 🙏❤️🌹 how can we thank you enough?? To respond to your question, I would absolutely love to see more scenery of nature and art mixed with your knowledge of plants while foraging! Make sense? And the stories! That story of the ice palace... stories that are Norwegian and that mean something to you particularly... ❤️🌹
My husband and I once got lost when we were hiking. We took a wrong turn and walked hours until we realized we were misguided. We ended up walking across the mountain and thought we would be stuck in the dark and the cold overnight in the woods with no phone or any provisions. We finally made it to a road just after dark and thankfully hitched a ride back to where we had parked (it was about a 20 minute drive to get there). We never hike without a flashlight and matches now. Thank you for the content!
Oh that sounds frustrating and scary. But as you say one learns to not hike without flashlight! Matches are smart too, maybe I should start bringing those. We did actually get lost another time as well, but then it was because of snow and not the dark. Its in another video.
My favorite spring sounds are the loons and spring peppers returning to the water. I really enjoy videos where you share recipes and other ways of using wild edibles. This was a great video to welcome spring!
My favorite spring Sound is the bird song from blackbirds (solsort), - and especially the Sound of them getting angry 😅 I would love to see more of your Daily life, art life, plant art 🤗 i you Want to show it 🌻 Nice spring to all of you too! ☀️🌸
This is a superb video Maria, and I think it is your best to date, with some fabulous drone photography. In fact it's so good I watched it twice ! Thank you for showing us more of your new environment, and for introducing Bendik and his work to us as well. In answer to your question; I watch your videos because you are so good at delivering a narrative through your videographic storytelling. You will always do this best when covering a topic of personal interest to you. So, go with your heart Maria and make videos about the topics which interest you the most. That's where you will create your best work.
Thank you Mark. So cool you think its the best one yet! My pleasure, its nice to bring him in to the picture once in a while, even if it take some persuading, haha. Thank you for your compliments and kind words, I will keep that in mind. And creating about stuff I am interested in is what makes it fun too.
Hei Maria, what you say in the beginning of this video really touched my heart. That is so considerate and sweet. I am one of those who can’t , and I love your video!! (And all of your video’s) Tusen takk!!❤️
Maria, I love your videos and would like to know more about the kind of books and music you enjoy as well as some of your favourite recipes. Thank you and Happy New year xx
Lovely video Maria. Bendik made me laugh when you filmed him. My partner Lukas also hates it when I film or photograph him. I love your foraging/plant videos as well as recipes and information about the art you and Bendik are working on... and as well I would love to see more nature and the local towns/areas/architecture and I love little cafes/stores where people sell homemade things. Maybe also little videos on interesting local people and their stories for the future? That's a lot though! I like all you do so far very much :) Oh and that's amazing Zoe has concerts in that place. I love alternative venues like that. Where you live sounds so cool and inspiring. I hope my place in North Yorkshire will be like that and will inspire me to write a lot of new music.
Haha, I do understand why they find it uncomfortable. But it still makes me laugh. Thank you so much for your feedback, I have thought about almost all the things you wrote, so it makes me excited that you would like that! Some local people have said I can film them too, so this will definetively be something for the future. So many interesting stories and lifestyles. I'm sure it will be inspiring where you are moving too! I guess it also is dependent on how we look at places. Where I live is by many in Norway looked at as a very boring and sort of ugly place, but we like it!
I love all of the nature you bring to my eyes & ears! My body is housebound but my spirit isn’t. And with your gorgeous videos my senses can soar too! I highly value that. I love seeing your art & everyday life as well & of course your kitty. Your home decorating is also interesting to me so, yeah, Maria, pretty much everything you share captures my interest. Thank you for it all.
I am so glad you enjoy it all Kathy♡♡♡. Have so enjoyed seeing your comments pop up on my videos, old as well as new ones. You are such a kind and motivating person, thank you.
@@Mariaandtheforest thank you for your kind words! It amazes me that I can talk with a lovely woman (you!) halfway around the world through a touch of the keyboard. What a game changer for us all. Do you do any writing. Maria - short stories, poems, etc.? I know you have a poetic spirit!
@@kathycagg6531 right? It amazes me every day too. The internet for sure has its many downsides, but this is one of the good ones! I do write, I actually used to study writing, but it got a bit lost in my life, and then I started making videos and fell in love with that. My goal for 2023 is actually to get back into it though! What about you?
@@Mariaandtheforest, I very much enjoy writing - short stories , poetry, spiritual. I’m co-writing a novel with a friend currently. I have one published piece in “Chicken Soup For The Soul: Think Possible “. I held a writing group in my home for several years. That was a blast!
I am just starting to go through your videos but from what I am seeing so far you are doing a great job. A mix is always interesting. We learn a little and get to see some of the countryside.
Ole.
Your videos are a work of art, I'm so impressed with everything you put into them!! I would love to learn more about how you research certain plants/recipes/methods/etc., I've been trying to learn more about herbalism and foraging but the internet is such a huge place that it can be hard to pin point what sources are good to use! 🙏💚 Thank you for your passion and wisdom.
Thank you so much for these kind words! I am glad you are interested in this topic, seems more people wonder about this than I knew, so of course I could share some of this. And I totally get you, it can be a jungle. Thank you as well, for your support
I initially subscribed for your lovely foraging videos, but I have been enjoying seeing little pockets of your life. You have a wonderful balance, and as an artist myself, I love learning about all the things that interest you/things you're both working on.
Wow these mountains at your place look so stunning and lonely 😍 Are they around your new place? I mean you can walk home from there right 😍 The sound of the water is so beautiful too 💚
Yes this hilltop takes me under an hour to walk from my door. And its a nice walk through the forest almost all the way. I was really eager to go there when we first came, but there was so much snow I could not go there without getting snowshoes. So this is really a new world opening now. I am glad you liked it
Isn’t forest bathing wonderful (shinrin- yoku)?Your images were lovely. Sounds of spring for me are the geese flying north, viper (I don’t know the English name for them) coming to the fields and of course, soon come the lambs. You are a good story teller and visual artist. Just mix it in with your foraging, research and introspection.
Had to google this, what a beautiful way to describe it. And the sounds you mention are nice because they are such subtle changes, I think it also shows that you are very aware of the details in the season? Thank you, I will take that to heart.
@@Mariaandtheforest I will forever be a wanna-be nature boy, wanting to live in harmony with my surroundings.
