i always had a dream of living in Scotland somewhere (i live in England currently), my dream was never to be rich or famous, i never dreamed of having a huge house with 15 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms, or to be surrounded by women, in my dream i have a house on beautiful green grass, i wake up every morning and look out at the ocean and see beautiful blue water for miles, the smell of pure clean air, the sound of water crashing against rocks, i hope one day my dream comes true.
What a beautiful dream to have. A dream for simplicity! :) :). I wish that all of your dreams come true and we hope that we can give you time to live in your imagination until they do :) :). Blessings and peace. Tim & Reno
Mine is not the same but similar. I am living in Germany but my boyfriend is Scottish. One day I want to live with him in a wee farm by loch lomond, far enough out to be by the shore and highlands, but close enough to Glasgow to work in my profession that I am learning and loving (biology, research). I know horses are considered luxury today, but it won't be as expensive with them living on your own farm. By boyfriend just lost his horse but I dream of having one each so we can ride out into the fields and mountains and shore together. A laid back life where spending our time in the nature will be our most lived part of the day.
I love this dream and relate to it so much, living in nature is all I really want💗

I listen to this music with my eyes closed and I am transported to the Highlands of Scotland where my people comes from and it gives me hope that one day I csn track down which city or town they lived in and move there seeking some distant relatives, I have already found a second cousin I did not know I had and we have been keeping in touch both of us pleased to have found one another, I am 57% Scottish maybe even 60%. Like I said I lve this music and gives me hope for the future

When I was young, I worked for a pianist. Above her grand piano, there was an antique cross-stitch that said, "Music is the Voice of God." What a profound statement, I always thought. (Though I am an artist, I am always in awe of where the sounds come from!) I wish I could live there. Someplace away from so many people. Away from the noise, crime, and pollution. I live in California (Sacramento) right now and I detest and despise how noisy and annoying people are. I wish I could be somewhere far away from people surrounded by nature... These pictures and the sounds are so beautiful and peaceful. Living there must be like living in a dream. How lucky some people are. Well at least I can listen to the music, close my eyes, and let my imagination run free. Thank you for that, Tim Janis.

My ancestors left (or were forced) to leave the highlands. They came to Canada in search of a better life.
Ionndrainn. A Gaelic word used to describe a phenomenon that took place after the first round of forced immigrations of the Highlands of Scotland from 1750-1860. To those who watched the ships leave their sight, the feelings were described as “great sadness and a feeling that something was missing”.
I believe in generational pain and trauma. I longed to find a place and call it my home my entire life.
2 years ago I made it to the Highlands and I finally felt at home.

The highlands are honestly the most stunning landscape you can find on earth. In fact, they feel unearthly because they are so breathtakingly beautiful. The moors, the heather, the mountains, the plains... Everything is there, the whole world really. I'll always cherish those amazing sights. Failte Gu Alba! 💖💖 Love to all our Scottish friends! 😘😘

I live in the England Scotland Borders on the England side can see over the cheviot hills I've recently purchased a woodland here and every night I come to the woods with my 2 dogs and listen to this music it's my way of relaxing after a hard day's work ❤

One day i wish to visit scotland, my ancestral homeland, and i don't want to stay in a big bustling city. I want to see the countryside, the beauty of scottish nature and landscapes stretching before me.
Tis a dream of mine to have a small cottage on a hillside, overlooking a loch or the sea. A quiet place to retire and marvel at the beauty all around me for my remaining days.

OMG, Tim Janis!!! I have been a fan for many and I have a few of your albums. I remember seeing you many years ago in the Portland, Maine Mall! I was smitten at the first note! I was shopping with my mother and my brother, and they couldn't get me to leave the beautiful music, so they went all around the mall shopping, while I sat there and just listed and calmed my soul. This music warms and stirs my Celtic Spirit. Anyone who knows anything about the Scots and the Irish (of which my ancestors are a blend of the two),, they know how we are stirred to tears both in joy and in sorrow.
Yes!! Agreed!! And music is definitely a way to bring about tears for both joy and sorrow! It can be so moving- especially when accompanying such beautiful landscapes!!

I was fortunate enough to study in Stirling in college and I have Scottish ancestry as well. I can honestly say, other than my home town, I have never felt more at home than I do in Scotland. I here the music and it makes something inside me joyful. If you haven't been and you have Scotland in your blood, go. You won't regret it.

I am so blessed to live in Scotland. I went to school in Scotland but it took me 30 years to move here permanently. Tomorrow I will be heading up into the Angus Glen's on my horse. It's just him and I with nature all around us. From red squirrels running up the trees to the red deer on the hill's.

My background is Scottish Irish and English. My Grandfathers name was William Alexander McGregor Elsworthy. He was born in Scotland and I feel very close to that beautiful country which I am lucky enough to have visited. I find myself becoming lost in this beautiful music.

A good portion of my family originated in Scotland. I got the chance to visit several years ago. It was absolutely beautiful. I kept wondering why my ancestors would ever want to leave. I felt like I had returned home!

I’m a pagan with Scottish ancestry (my family is descended from clan Henderson) and I’ve always felt an overwhelming love for Scotland. Even though my family at some point In History crossed the border into the north east of England, I feel like my soul is connected to Scotland and no other place feels simultaneously as magical and like home to me. Beautiful Celtic folk music like this always makes me feel like no other music can make me feel. It truly is magic and I’m extremely proud to be decended from the most beautiful and magical place on the earth
I love the thick green grass.. just want to lay down in it and feel the grass blades on my palms while the wind caresses
My husband traced his lineage to the highlands-(Clan Grant- back to the 600s) and mine too (Clan Frasier-great grandfather born on the ship to America) and God willing we will travel there someday soon. A blessed peaceful day to you all.

@@timjanis Thank you. It was amazing. He never knew his father. Each day he'd go further back till he reached a Norwegian king. They kept records of the king because they were trying to connect their lineage to Oden. So he got lucky! Gotta get him in a kilt! lol
As I work painting a room overlooking the river Thames in the Oxfordshire countryside I'm transported to soft shores of blue sea caressing smooth sand leading to grasses dancing in the breeze. Beyond green hills and then mountains with soft clouds and mist..
May everyone be blessed as we all travel our own journeys to our own home. Not the home we live in. The home within us. The safe place. The place we belong deep in our minds and body.

I am in process of taking my mother’s ashes for burial back to her homeland in Europe. My father was such a bad person and want to see my mother resting in peace with her family. This music makes me visualize her trip by boat to Canada during the war and all the hopes she had for good life. Sadly not all stories have good out comes or endings. 💐🥀🚢💕😪😔🌹

Such beautiful music. It brings back memories of the several trips I made to Scotland and could never get enough of it. I am too old to travel back now but I can go there anytime in my mind, I can see the Moors, the rolling hills and cliffs and the small winding roads throughout the countryside, the sheep crossing the road and the beautiful sheep dogs herding the sheep in the meadows and most of all I can hear the laughter of the people as they welcomed this "Yank" to their beautiful country. This music brings up all of these memories and I cherish each one

As you age, I hope you can relive your memories of Scotland over and over. I am 73 and my memory fails me at times, but I hold dear to precious memories of Great Britain especially Scotland.
Today listening to this music I was giving honor to Queen Elizabeth who died so I fixed up a Scottish meal with some scones and had some tea and thought of her and her history. Now she's with her husband in heaven. She had a long reign. I will always remember her.
I used to live up in the North of Scotland, in a town called Elgin,a very beautiful part of the country,just recently went back to visit,brought back some lovely memories ❤ I live just outside Glasgow now ,not nearly as pretty as the Highlands. Would love to move back up there someday 😊

Although my physical relationship with Fearnan ended long ago, the close spiritual bond has lasted a lifetime. This historic highland village not only provided a refuge during the stormy war years, it invoked a sense of mystery, and yielded a kaleidoscope of vivid memories. Even today when I think of Fearnan it's not difficult to visualize village life as it was then, and when I close my eyes I can see clearly the white-capped waves surge across Loch Tay and hear the children's voices carried on the wind as they tumble from the schoolhouse at the end of the day. Never to be forgotten. And thank you Tim for rekindling fond memories.

I'm a proud to be a Scottish lass, however small my heritage is. I have been to Paris & England, but I just fell in love with Scotland, when I was there some 17 years ago. I just found out from my DNA I was 21% Scottish. I never knew! My daughter visited before we knew. Her ancestors called to her to go. Of all places in the world she could've traveled!! I doubt I ever can afford it but so happy she did!!❤

Yes the name of the series is Outlander..it has 5 parts and the 6th one is out...but in the 6th part the lips are not matching with the scene so I lost interest in the 6th season. However, the first five seasons are good.
