I don’t put anything on the lace when I do water colors , unless I’m dipping the hair dark purple , dark blue , or red . And that product I use will be conditioner to protect the actual knots from being too dark . But it shouldnt stain the lace really ever.

I usually always use bleach to lighten a wig , unless im doing jet black , or a dark burgandy .
