I actually go picking at our local dump now and then just like that lady in the video and you wouldn’t believe the things some people throw away,I have even found gold jewellery in the past,it’s crazy the stuff people chuck away

Hi Rob and Karen. Loved seeing your big jewelry haul. I was thinking "get it for $20!" So great for you guys. Did I miss where you let us know if the gold tone earrings were actually gold? I think that I would have asked for a price on all of it and sorted through it later. I have a lot of competition for jewelry so if I take too long to look at it all, I would soon have other hands grabbing at it all. (I bought a cardboard box full last Friday; I knew that there was one piece of gold. Turned out there were multiple pieces. So fun!)

Wow! great finds, and also very very very low cases! our town has a population of about 80,000 and has almost 500 cases!!!!! california as a whole has 900,000! in this area it’s not as bad as others but it’s very bad! i envy that people in canada actually listen! great finds! adore the lamps, especially the bracket lamp.
Cases are starting to go up here again now that school's back and such.. :/ We're still doing pretty good tho.

The finger lamp & bracket soooo neat, you could make money just finding the piece that holds them to the wall, they are often missing & people need them. If some put a black light on me, I'd glow green with envy, that floor lamp, wow! Guess I better quit now, till my green fades a bit! Loved this, thanks kids.

You know, Rob. I once had a boyfriend, who too would talk too much, when I found treasures, sorting through jewellery at fleamarkets and such. "WOW, is that STERLING SILVER??" Sellers do have ears, so prices can go up mighty quick.... He never learned, that it is fine to ask, just do it AFTER we leave! I know, what I am doing. Just to be clear, obviously, he is now an EX boyfriend! 😉

Hi Karen!! No we are not resellers.... just collectors. With that being said... as we bring things into the house, we DO have to sell from time to time to prevent from becoming hoarders... but for now Karen usually sells locally thru a buy/sell app. She still has all her jewelry you've seen her purchase in our videos, and I think we'll do a video this winter on all of Karen's jewelry!!!

All Indian jewelry isn't marked, especially the earlier. I have a 14K/star sapphire that my neighbor(a dentist)made me in the early 60s. It's not marked, but has been tested.

What a score on all the jewelry. Do you keep it for yourselves, or do you sell for the sliver? How do you sell your items? Do you have a ebay, FB marketplace? So many questions.... :O
Karen keeps it all. 😁 We're generally not resellers... even tho you might see Karen buy something to resell in the odd episode, that's really just to help pay for the rest of the stuff we're keeping. I'd say we keep 80% of the things we buy, and Karen keeps 100% of the jewelry... except we DID give away some of the gemstone rings we bought, in a channel contest... other than that, we have all of the rest of them still. 😄

Here too.... Gold is worth FAR more than silver. Silver here is about $25/ounce, where as gold is about $1800/ounce.

Why do u use a black light
Looking for uranium glass and other vintage collectible glass that glows under UV.
$80 is way too low for the silver jewelry, some of those pieces are $20-50 each.
I was thinking the same thing.
I think those people should have done some research before the sale. They lost a lot of money.
Admittedly, jewelry is not our forte, especially with the semi precious stones. At a melt price of $20/ounce, we typically don't place a lot of value on silver and as past videos show, usually pick silver rings and such up for anywhere from 25¢ to $1 each.... but once Karen got it all home and we layed it out, I did realize she had more in that little box than I thought she did at the sale. I think if we were to run ninto that couple again (I hope we do, they were awesome), I would just flip them another $40! LOL.
You got some beautiful things, ever check with black light on the custard glass shades of your old lamps? It isn't only green that glows. I don't know Karen, you had one big nut next to you for that squirrel....lol
LOL We do check the custard glass.... we have a couple pieces that glow. None of the shades glow yet tho...
