This was the last Ohio State game I ever got to watch with my dad. He died in June of 2003 from a heart defect. The Buckeyes hadn't won a National Championship since 1970. I was born in 1980. All I wanted was to see the Bucks win it all with him. They got so close from '95-'98 but came up short.
The 2002 season was a season of destiny. They won it all. The first 14-0 undefeated team in history. Beat Miami for the National Championship. I couldn't have scripted it better for the last season I ever got to see with my dad. Thank you, Buckeyes. It meant and still means the world to me that you pulled this off.
For the pass interference call in overtime: the DB had a hold on the WR arm while the ball was in the air. Then he let go when they turned, but the ball had already been thrown. Good call.
Well you know that is true but I wish there were better cameras so we can see for sure
The DB and WR hand some hand fighting at the snap of the ball. The DB turned his head after the WR swiped at the stop of his route. The way the ball was thrown the WR had to attack it so it looked like he was held. The WR was able to attack the ball with both hands, the ball was thrown early, and they were both fighting as the ball was in the air. Within the 10 yard line you don’t call that unless the WR couldn’t get a hand on the ball. Bad call.
You're dumb
The incomplete pass call was more egregious.
Oh thanks for the facts doctor.
24 points was the most allowed by Oh St defense. The refs tarnished the game a bit with missed calls and bad one's as well. Both teams were absolutely stacked.
One of the best games of all time
RIP Sean Taylor
The good days with out the virus
I love your work on this
Florida had the very best year in sports in 2003 since 1997 (January 3: Miami (FL) Hurricanes was in the Fiesta Bowl national championship game with Ohio State. January 26: Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl 37. October 25: Florida Marlins defeated the New York Yankees in the World Series, 4 games to 2).
"Allow us to introduce ourselves"-Heat and Panthers in 2023. Also Messi
Miami should have never lost this game. The amount of NFL players they had on this team was insane. You recognize half the defense and offense from Sundays! Forget the PI call. the game should have never been close. Too many turnovers and generally unforced errors. I blame Coker as the coach.
Ohio State beat them. Miami didn't turn the ball over on purpose. Buckeyes defense played lights out and FORCED those turnovers. Ohio State was the better team that night. And Ohio State had a few turnovers as well. So you have any more bs excuses?
Freshman Maurice Clarett was a beast.
Watch freshman James Peoples this year👀
It's amazing how many of these guys who were stars in this game ended up in jail or murdered.
Good win.
I agree but I have to say that Michigan vs OSU 2011 was just a little bit better
This was my Cousins Munchie and Bassy's 12th Grade Senior Year at their respective schools Jess Lanier and Ensley High School in Alabama. Not to Mention Arnold, Carlos, Tim, Ralphie, Dorothy Ann, Wanda, Kessha, Phoebe, Jyoti, Morgan Matthews II's 12th Grade Senior Year 2002-03.
Can't wait for OSU vs THE Michigan 2011 🤗🤪🤪🤪
One of the saddest things I’ve ever read😂
I agree with you on that one
I agree, but lmao cuz that’s the most recent time bitchigan has beat the Bucks. Pretty sad tbh. It must be really really depressing being a wolverine fan 🤦♂️

We all know that this should have been Miami's 6th National Championship. That was an egregious PI call.
Lmao ok salty Miami fan 😂
Don’t turn over the ball over 5 times and have to comeback in the 4th quarter and you would’ve won.
@Rich Allen missed block in the back on the punt return at the end that would’ve had miami 15 yards further on that final kick
And let’s not forget the egregious incomplete/out of bounds call on 3rd down that forced the punt…only reason Miami even had a chance tie it.
@@bradjeziorowski1350 yes, they conveniently leave that part out.
I still think the PI call was off and cost Miami the game. However, Miami put itself in that position with all those turnovers, missed field goal, and sacks.
Ohio State was the better team. Just shit up with you're bs crybaby crap. Ohio State turned the ball over too. Jesus. All you whiners. AND Miami was fkng cheaters...Shapiro paying all those dudes to even come play at Miami. CHEATERS
Shame KWJ never fully realized his potential in the league There’s no chance he doesn’t have CTE.
Kellen Winslow never realized his potential because he wasn't very good once in the league. CTE? Sean Taylor took harder hits. Winslow is right where he should be!
31 got there early cry harder Miami fans
😭 ur lying to ur self bro. Horrible call. And I personally met plenty of fsu fans who agree. Most of my family is fsu fans aside from me. Either way horrible call at a even worse time. U don’t throw a flag 3 seconds after the play was waved incomplete
Miami was ripped off. Refs bailed out Ohio State.
refs screwed both teams OSU should have won before OT refs blew a caught ball at the 2:10min mark on 3rd down that would have given OSU a 1st down and milk most of the clock
The game was over at 1OT. Horrible call by the refs.
As much as I hate Miami, they should have won this game.
Biggest robbery vs the Hurricanes. BAD CALL
Worst call ever
