Fix YouTube Sound Not Working On Android (Fix!)

- Let's get your RUclips sound working again on Android in this quick and easy guide.
If your audio on any RUclips video isn't working, follow these steps to make sure your media or app sound is turned on, then you can force stop and clear the RUclips app. You may also want to turn off Bluetooth since this may auto connect to a speaker somewhere and play the sound through the speaker. This works for any Android from Samsung to Pixel. This also works for autoplay sound.

It didn't work
My RUclips app makes no sound at all still. I can hear everything other than youtube. The only time i can hear it is when i cast to my ps4 and i hear it through my tv. My chrome searched youtube plays audio though
When I hit clear data it said I would lose everything! I don't want to lose everything. The thing is, I have 2 you tubes on this phone. One works great which is why I could hear you, the other plays but is silent. When I save videos then go to play them again, the OTHER you tube appears and I can't hear a thing. This is an Android phone,. Hope this makes sense to you. Your explanation is very clear but like I said, I don't want to lose everything!
@Jennifer Audet it doesn't erase your Playlist or history I would clear your apps because it frees up space on your phone
So what do I do? I have a newer android Samsung. I have everything else playing through my headphones. Just not youtube. I need it on right away. My neighbor sleeps all day. I need info right now from RUclips. But I have to be quiet or they won't let me sleep at night

I have sounds BUT I can't volume adjust. If I add a sound to a short it removes the original audio. NOT ON IOS it seems though. I pay to get less features.

for me it just acts stupid when i remove the call sound and it gives no sound if both of it is not maxed together
Social media sound is very low despite high volume in android? The ‘sound and vibration’ option is disabled so can’t turn on so how to go to set the equilizer and all?

There is another thing that stopping RUclips playing sounds through headphones, and that is there's a new setting in Android called second app sound and some phones it's not in the menu but there is a Android program running which can stop the sound coming through Bluetooth headphones
Ironically, it was only when I googled the problem and viewed this video in the app that the sound magically came back. Thanks, I guess. 😂
I'm afraid that these instructions didn't work for me I seem to have completely lost the sound/volume icon from my RUclips App - it's nowhere to be found. I wonder if RUclips is trying to force me down the 'premium subscriber' route... 🤔

Earlier morning somehow it mute but said there is sound and i think that my speakers are bad.
Well blow me down. I tried this on the off chance it might work! ...as all of a sudden both Spotify & RUclips have been acting annoying with patchy sound, with RUclips it would be fine for video but the sound kept cutting in/out Ggrrrr!!! ....did these steps. And it worked!! 😮

it didn't work when I did as you suggested, then I remembered that I had paired hearing aids, which were in their charger, with blue tooth. I turned Bluetooth off, et voila, perfect sound. But thanks anyway, I needed to go through the process to make me think further,

Use CC option or closed captions to read the instructions. Shutting bluetooth off fixed my issue

Doesn't resolve the intermittent but regular loss of audio stream, RUclips audio is fucked up and Google are too incompetent or can't be arsed to fix the problem. It has been ongoing for months and seems to be only getting worse, my premium subscription will be ending very shortly if the don't pull their corporate fingers out. There are plenty of other video services out there.
