Just to let you know the mode you played Is "Overwatch classic" basically its a limited time event that lets you play the game how it was when it was released in 2016. easy to get mixed up because its also in the quickplay tab.

first time players shouldn’t have access to it iirc. you have to do tutorial, practice range, then open queue when i set up my account last year.
